Hello People.

I am Geet and am new to this forum. I recently watched the serial and was quite intrigued by the characters. I haven't watched 'Diya and Baati' so have very little knowledge about the background of the show. But mostly got inspired to watch the show due to the incredible writers of this forum. (And I also see few of my old friends from the Udan forum 😊)

Hopefully I will have a great time with you all.

Yep, lots of fun and some super awesome writers.
I binge watched all the episodes and I really liked it.

I blame my friend at work. She told me about Kanak and Uma Shankar. Than I saw the Star Parivaar music video. I was sold. Came running and watched all the episodes from the start.

@Geet and @Nimmi, what a pleasant surprise to see you here! First, Namita, and then you... I am very very happy!

@Nimmi, give this show a try! Uma is at least unique. I have never seen a character like him. He and the mystery that surrounds his family make the story truly engaging.

@Geet, is not necessary to know what happened in DABH to fallow this sequel. What is relevant from the previous story is that Kanak was the daughter of a highly educated woman, Sandhya, who married Suraj He was just the owner of a sweet shop with very little education. Despite their differences, Suraj and Sandhya had a very happy married life, helping each other to fulfill their dreams.

At the beginning, Suraj's mother, Bhabho, didn't want Sandhya to pursue a career as she was a very traditional woman, but in time she became Sandya's biggest supporter. Sandya was an IPS officer but not an ordinary one, she was a national heroine and Bhabho was very proud and fond of her. That's why Kanak keeps repeating to herself "Remember whose daughter are you!", every time she is in danger.

When she was little, Kanak ended up in the hands of terrorists and in order to save their daughter, Sandhya and Suraj sacrificed themselves. Since then Bhabho blames Kanak for the death of her parents.

All that Kanak wants is her grandmother's love and that's why it is so important for her to get those papers of the sweet shop as for Bhabho it is the last memory that she has from Suraj and Sandya.

I agree...its nice to see people here who stopped coming to that forum.

I still hope something good happens and you all come there..

Btw what do you think?Kanak should run or not?

I would like to come back to that forum and I am still hoping for something good to happen to give me a reason to be interested again in that show. I am sure many of us will be there again if we hear some positive news.

About Kanak, I want her to run away so I can see Uma's anguish after the incident. I want to see him first worried for her safety thinking that something has happened to her and then I want to see his desperate search for her when he will realize that she has run away. But I am waiting to see how the CV will decide to show it... if she doesn't succeed in her mission then it will be some twist to expose her marriage in front of her family and an opportunity for her to finally express that she wants to be free of this relationship.

But the first option is better, because if she runs, Uma will understand instantly how unhappy she was with this marriage and she was just acting nice so she can have her way.

Claudia, Nimmi, Namita, Geet ... here I am! Followed all you lovely people to this forum based on a friends recommendation :) Will check a couple of episodes. Uma Shankar does sound intriguing...maybe he will deliver what I was expecting from Suraj from Udaan and never seemed to get!
