Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will look to do the double over lowly Gujarat Giants (GG) when the two sides lock horns in the thirteenth match of Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 on Wednesday (March 6) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

RCB led by Smriti Mandhana head into the match on the back of a 23-run victory, which saw them do the double over UP Warriorz, while Beth Mooney's Gujarat Giants suffered their fourth straight defeat in as many games following a 5-wicket loss to Delhi Capitals in their most recent match.

GG, on the other hand, were restricted to 138/8 in their allotted 20 overs, failing to chase down 164 set by Delhi Capitals in their most recent outing in WPL 2024. Ashleigh Gardner (40 off 31 & 2 for 37) and Meghana Singh (4 for 37) were the shining lights for GG in the loss.

RCB has already the got the number on GG this season. RCB rode on Mandhana's quick-fire 43 to seal an 8 wicket win with 7.3 overs to spare in their run chase of 108 after Renuka Singh (2 for 14) and Sophie Molineux (3 for 25) had restricted the opposition to 107/7.

WPL 2024 Match 13, GG-W vs RCB-W: Delhi Pitch Report

The Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in New Delhi is ideally suited for batters, with something on offer for the pacers as well, especially with the new ball. Moreover, the dimensions of the ground features smaller boundaries and dry conditions. The average first innings total at the venue, albeit in T20 international matches, has been in the range of mid-160s. The captain winning the toss will likely opt to field first owing to the chances of dew in the latter half of the match.

WPL:RCBW VS GGW FANTASY TEAM, DREAM11 PREDICTION

On a mathematical possibility, Gujarat Giants may not be knocked out of WPL 2024 even if they lose their next game against Royal Challengers Bangalore, but they would make their qualification possibility to the knockouts incredibly difficult. A four-match winless-run in Bengaluru has already left them with little option but to turn their fortunes and win all the games of the Delhi leg, and still live in hope.

Interestingly, it has been their inexperienced bowling which has been their strongest suit so far. On paper, they possess possibly the most dangerous top and middle order, with four of their five overseas options providing that muscle. However, they have scored only 273 runs in 240 balls across four games. To make matters worse, the injury list is only piling up and the fielding show just worsened with four dropped catches in the previous game.

In today's match of Women's Premier League  (WPL) 2024, Royal Challengers Bangalore will be aiming for their fourth win in the competition when they lock horns with Gujarat Giants at Arun Jaitely Stadium in New Delhi. RCB women's team ended their home leg with a win and currently placed at number two spot on WPL 2024 points table. If RCB manage to win today's game, then it will be come level with Delhi Capitals with four wins but Smriti Mandhana-led side need a big win to topple DC from the top given the latter's superior net run rate.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Giants have failed to open their account and coming into the game on the back of four consecutive defeats and obivously langished at the bottom of the WPL 2024 points table.
