I think there is a number of reason for this dismal.performance. 

- SRK fatigue, he already has 2 BBs this year. A 3rd movie is too much. If I were SRK, I would have released it next year. 

- The clash with an action movie. BW is riding high on ultra mascular action packed films. This era is no longer the golden era for family friendly social issues drama which Hirani excels at. Animal's succeas proves it. If people want to see social dramas, they woll turn to Netflix and Prime. 

- Animal's success fatigue. It has not even been a month! 

- not great WOM.

Salman fans and their stats 

This is perfect example of what you do here 

If a star fails, it is because of his/her poor choice of script.It is the fault of the director too, who failed the star.

If the star gives a blockbuster, again credit should be given to the director and project he/she chose to do.

They are superstars as long as they get the best and the biggest films to choose from.

 Fans don't have to go into a frenzy with every release abusing rival fans.
