Not sure about Bombay Velvet and Besharam, but he was definitely not bad in Brahmastra and TJMM. He did well as per the roles and the character..
And he was pretty damn good in Jagga Jasoos. Very underrated performance

This comparision is unwarrented.
It is not just sex it is also about the central character's characterisation. The story is told from this flawd man's perspective that made audience connect to this movie.
If it is only sex it wouldn't have been such a big hit.
