Can't say explicitly but it is quite apparent based on the deterioration in the character arc and several related factors pointed out by people. Anyway, in a show about Royal TamaShah phemli and their helps, he will always remain a side character until and unless he becomes one of them.

Not just the heroine but the hero also got insecure. Sudhanshu had said that his character us realistic while Anuj kapadia is a person who would literally kiss the ground where Anupama puts her feet on . In a subtle way he mocked Anuj's character.
Initially Anuj's character was not that of a "Yes man". I remember he was reluctant to approve MAA's business idea. Even while providing loan to Anupama,he made her sign the contract and behaved very professionally. No personal favours or tweaking rules. He used to call her for meetings/conferences ignoring Shah drama BUT they completely destroyed him after marriage. He has been transformed into Anupama 2.0. His only job is to calm MAA's panic attacks and sponsor Royal TamaShah functions. Hope the trp crashes and the audience get rid of this headache....Originally posted by: Musketeer_95

The show got to 4.0 to a point I believe but lets not forget the rest of the cast and story before Anuj came it. It was in the over 3.2 or so anyhow. The OG cast before Anuj were rocking in TRPs due to the ongoing build up, reveal and aftermath and their acting suppressed all.
Agreed! The show has been constantly topping the trp charts since it's inception and it was worth it.The plot was intriguing and the execution was realistic without going overboard. However,many people started watching it after Anuj's entry as they were enamoured of his character and intrested to see the change he was supposed to bring in Anupama's life. Sadly,the makers ruined him due to their obsession with Shahs.
