Anuj's popularity was SURPASSING that of their fl. The trp shot up to 4.6. He became the face of the show and any character which OVERSHADOWS their fl has to be BUTCHERED.

Can't say explicitly but it is quite apparent based on the deterioration in the character arc and several related factors pointed out by people. Anyway, in a show about Royal TamaShah phemli and their helps, he will always remain a side character until and unless he becomes one of them.

His character was way too progressive for itv.

Not just the heroine but the hero also got insecure. Sudhanshu had said that his character us realistic while Anuj kapadia is a person who would literally kiss the ground where Anupama puts her feet on . In a subtle way he mocked Anuj's character.

The show got to 4.0 to a point I believe but lets not forget the rest of the cast and story before Anuj came it. It was in the over 3.2 or so anyhow. The OG cast before Anuj were rocking in TRPs due to the ongoing build up, reveal and aftermath and their acting suppressed all.

They hate all their characters... I believe they hate Anupamaa the most... Who would degrade their own FL and send her back to her ex family

I don't think Anuj and Anupamaa (on their own doing whatever) without the Shah's can work and be entertaining IMO.

Shah's are the OG family too.
