The Match number 34 of the TATA IPL 2023 is going to see Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) take on Delhi Capitals(DC) at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad.
DC, after remaining winless for the first three weeks, finally had their first win of the campaign against KKR. However, the win was not convincing as they lost six wickets in the 128-run chase and almost messed it up.
Both teams will need to figure out their playing XI, with the top names from both teams not performing consistently.
The halfway mark of the 2023 Indian Premier League season is around the corner, and Match 34 features two sides who are steadily racing against time to keep their playoff hopes intact.
Sunrisers Hyderabad are set to host Delhi Capitals in what should be a contest no lesser than a knockout fixture.
Technically, neither side is on the brink of elimination. However, with six games played apiece, Sunrisers have just two wins while the Capitals have only managed a solitary victory thus far.
Clearly, any more defeats at this point only complicates matters.
SRHlost their last two matches against CSK and MI, but they are hoping to win this match. SRH won two matches in this season. They are at 9th position on the points table.
DC broke their streak of losing matches in IPL against KKR by winning the last match at Arun Jaitley Stadium. They are in the last position on the points' table with two points.
They expect to win this match and live their hope for playoffs qualification.
SRH lost their two home games, but they have a home advantage and expect to win this match and increase their chance of qualifications.

Sunrisers Hyderabad
Mayank Agarwal's batting position will be one to watch out for. Naturally an opener, he found himself as low as number six in SRH's previous fixture against CSK. If the Sunrisers' think-tank is to be believed, the latest opening pair of Harry Brook and Abhishek Sharma will get an extended run. SRH may go in with the same bowling attack that played last game with a decision to be made between T Natarajan and Mayank Dagar for the impact sub according to the nature of the pitch.
Probable XI: Harry Brook, Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram(c), Mayank Agarwal, Heinrich Klaasen(wk), Marco Jansen, Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mayank Markhande, Umran Malik
Delhi Capitals
It's rare to see a winning combination changed but Capitals continue to have problems in their batting department. Prithvi Shaw's woeful form and a general lack of contributions from the rest of the DC batting has meant that skipper David Warner has been over-burdened at the top of the order. Phil Salt finally got a look-in last game, albeit in the middle order, and he is an obvious choice to partner Warner if the think-tank have run out of patience with Shaw. In such a scenario, a middle-order spot opens up and that could bring Sarfaraz Khan back in the reckoning.
Probable XI: David Warner (c), Phil Salt (wk), Mitchell Marsh, Sarfaraz Khan/Prithvi Shaw, Manish Pandey, Axar Patel, Lalit Yadav, Aman Khan, Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje, Ishant Sharma

The pitch of Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad generally favors the batters and the spinners.
The wicket generally produces high-scoring encounters.
The weather condition will favor the seamers.
A decent batting surface with short boundaries to aid brisk scoring. The new ball has moved a bit while spin has also played a role. Bounce is expected to be on the lower side with a lot of skid. The three games here have seen scores of 203, 143 and 192 - although the first of those came in a day game.
