Sorry for... once again I'm bringing about the original one here.. I remember when I was a kid they used to play Telugu dubbed versions of all Maniratnam's Tamil movies including "Sakhi" ("Alai payuthey" in Tamil) on Telugu channels. . Watched its Telugu dubbed version on some TV channel when I was a kid, later I watched it whenever they played it on TV. Being a fan of Rom Com genre since forever, I loved this movie eventhough I thought it was bit slow paced like most of MR's movies. Loved Madhavan and Shalini's chemistry. And I was a fan of AR. Rahman's music in MR's movies, this is no exception that I loved music in this movie a lot especially i love these two songs where the chemistry of leads is too good and songs were picturized too beautifully😍 :
Only much later just 3-4 yrs back I came to know the existence of its Hindi movie when I came across this song which I thought the picturization of song is beautiful in Hindi one too:

Sakhi is anyday superior to it's Hindi counterpart. Maddy-Shalini crackling chemistry couldn't be replicated. I found Vivek-Rani bland.
I sbslove Saathiya… its cute n intense love story, rani-vivek crackling chemistry and their faaaaab acting, awesome songs snd Shahrukh n Tabu surprise cameo… everything in this movie was magical

The album is sheer magic. Every song was a rage.
Chori pe chori is so underrated. Gulzaar absolutely nailed it. There is so much disillusionment and cynicism in this song which is an absolute departure from rest of the songs, of course the situation demands it and the lyrics also deliver and how. Infact better than the original lyrics, if you ask me.
