Lets all reminisce about our favorite Arylie moments so far based on following points-

1. Describe the moment

2. How it affected Arylie relationship

3. Your take or reason to be your favorite.

I know there are so many but lets pick one and let others pick some too.. Let's make it fun and cute discussion. post vms or links and pics.

I will go first.

1. The rain sequence before reaching the hotel on Adilie anniversary. Aryan leaves her on the road sobbing and sitting in middle of nowhere. But comes back and tells her to pick herself up and to focus on her work. To not be weak or expect love and kindness from anyone. To make her way in the world. His words ,"Tumhara sirf breakup hua hai Imlie. Koi mar nahi gaya" "Tum sirf ro rahi ho, appne aapko victim banana band karo"

2. Before that they had a strictly professional relationship but after that scene the walls came down between them. They both got a glimpse of the person they both hide behind the facade. One behind the smiles and laughs, the other behind the heartless and angry ice mountain.

3. I think the makers went with Arylie as per the response they got. But only after this scene. I think This scene was written as soon as Aryan's character was penned. Everything else, Arylie romance and Janiyaa's they all came after the response from the scenes like this. But as soon as ASR was penned this scene was in making. It pivoted the whole dynamics not just between Arylie, but between all the other characters who were not even in the scene. And thats powerful writing. Imlie keeps going back to this scene every time she feels herself weaken. She gets her determination from this when Aparna asks her to stop Aditya from marrying Malini. She says why should a woman have to always guide a man to right path. Why is he so incapable? We can only guide ourselves. We cannot control other's thoughts, actions. She refused to be responsible for Aditya's mistakes for the first time. She replies back to Aditya about his digs thinking back to this. "Hum Kamjoor nahi hai"

And Imlie got her first glimpse of Aryan, real Aryan in this. He immediately became more approachable and dependable to her. There was no romance between them. But just like the pervious chopstick scene where Aryan tells her he is the first person in her life who is not an idiot to indulge her shortcomings. Here he was the first person to not pity her but show her the mirror. Summing her whole problems with the words, "Its just a Breakup" Because really no Breakup is worth stopping yourself from living and wallowing in self pity. Really this is a 20yr old going through her first breakup, thats all! She needed to hear that more than anything. No matter how much she had fantasied her marriage into love affair for ages, 7 janam ka wada and Krishna -Meera bhakti. It basically is just a bad marriage, that was on its last legs.

Love this thread idea!

You have already taken my favourite Arylie scene, I always find myself going back to that rain scene because of how powerful it is!

I will go with my second favourite scene - the Arylie dance during Adini's wedding!

1. Describe the moment

When Imlie starts to walk away during the mehndi game after AC says who would want to partner with a naukrani - but Aryan shows up dressed as Raj, stops her from leaving, grabs her hand and walks her back, then he picks up the paper with her name of this (this part just felt so respectful to me, esp since AKT had thrown the paper on the ground but Aryan picked it up as if it was special), and then becomes her dance partner as they let loose.

2. How it affected Arylie relationship & 3. Your take or reason to be your favorite.

Aryan has been verbally supportive before - this is the first time he really goes out of character/breaks down his walls and dances with Imlie so that she doesn't feel bad/is alone. The way that Imlie look at him after he grabs her hand and walks them back was so surprised and almost devotional - I think this was the first time she really thought Aryan is with me and supported me beyond an employer would - we could be friends. This is the first glimpse we see of the old Aru coming out because of Imlie and the first time we see that these two who seem so different could be happy with each other. Right after this scene, we get the 'palat' scene where Imlie isn't really affected by their dancing but Aryan is - the start of his attraction to her. I actually liked that he was affected but not her, I think he needed to fall first and fall deeper in love with her before she would.

I know the first Jaaniya had already started before this scene - but this is the first scene where I truly thought that the dynamics really shifted between the two and opened the doors for it to be a romantic relationship - that this was the end game. You could just see that they fit together in their own way and got a peek into what their relationship could be like - respectful, supportive, devotional, really fun/happy and transformative.

My favourite scene is already described by you and what a description it is! ❤️ It makes me fall more in love with that scene.

That bridge scene is the base of all Aryan and Imlie will build in future. That will always remain the scene where Imlie finally decided to move forward instead of crying on her fate.

Nothing, not even Shiddat rooh wala dance, can match the intensity of that scene.

Okay, fair warning, this thread is gonna have people coming to describe more than one of their favourite scenes because dil always maange more.

So, my favourite scene is an underrated one, the top of the bus scene.

There's just something about it, her giving on explanations and him taking them in strides, listening to her, but interrupting her to take care of her because she needn't explain her actions to him.

It's also because it's one of the scenes in which Imlie actively tries to take care of Aryan. It is the very first scene I see Imlie strive to make him comfortable too.

But, what I love about the scene is Aryan, despite understanding her actions, is not fine with them.

And his admission of him being not fine, that too to Imlie, just makes me love them.

Blend in the song choice, the back to back sitting, him taking care of her and her worrying for him, all the while they enter into an equal, a 50-50 partnership for the first time, it just gets to me.

The ease and the comfort they shared then was my favourite part of AryLie.

1) imlie driving aryans car

2) Thats the beginning of mentorship , where aryan takes imlie under his wing. To push towards her full potential. Sets the stage for arylie dynamics.

3) Its my favourite scene for many reasons

-----> i was kind of mad at him , for the scene before this one , where he uses her dupatta for cleaning.

But she kinda gives it back in her own way , by cleaning her sandals with his kerchief. He sort of lets her , i think he deep down knows he was rude to her unnecessarly. I will let it go aru , jiju is your blind spot.

------> She refuses to get in her car , saying he will scare her again. She innocently says she is just imlie and she cant stand against him. Thts the moment , I felt this girl is just a poor innocent kid who needs hugs and love. I wanted scrawl into my screen and wanted to hug her.

In my view , aryan would have also recognized , she is truly a kid in age as well as heart.

--------> when she mentions about tractor , he doesnt even hesitate , he 100% trusts her. THAT TRUST AND RESPECT , EXCEPT HER PARENTS , I DONT THINK ANYONE HAS SHOWN HER

i also want to say that , this wasnt a scene where itv just randomly inserted to show the FL can do anything.

She mentions , she drove the tractor , but she hesitates again and again to drive the car. She is absolutely terrified. She drives the car at 10km/hr. She doesnt even know how to turn off the wipers.

But the learning process begins , she builds herself from whatever little thing she knows to grow , to get to the next level.

It was kind of realistic in imlie land compared to other ott scenes.

I always cherish that scene.

--------> about aryan , he recognizes the innocence she holds and trusts her. He respects her enough to handle his imported mrs.lambi gaadi. He also sort of has this victory smile of the mentor , when she does well. This also where their true nok-jhok begins , she blabbers and him tolerating ( but also secretly enjoying , cause the last 4 years all he had lived with is silence and melancholy)

🤗

Great choice. Aryan really went out of his comfort zone for her there. More than AC's insult, the fact that Aditya threw the chit away and opened the gates for Imlie to get humiliated was hurtful. I loved the way Aryan brings her to stand and face them, reverently picks that chit. I knew all along what the CVs where trying to do with the Adini wedding. They were forcing us to accept Aryan as the Lead. And off course the extra push and made up scenes like the arti in jagrata were needed to hook in the TRP audience who will only accept the hero introduced in episode 1 in heroines life. But in Aryan's case it works. because he has been shown to be deserving in every way possible.

It was visually pleasing as well. Them alone on the bus, with occasional branches brushing their shoulders. Aryan's preparedness even in just a suit empty handed. I mean the guy remembers to grab water and energy bar. Not to mention big wads of cash that he handed over to the basti people for toilets. Now if that is not perfection singh rathore ? I don't know what is.

Exactly. He trusted her with his lakhon ki imported car, his life. That scene was so powerful. He treats her as his equal from the get go. He is always in teaching mode with her. I wonder what compels him to always be her mentor. He went to great lengths to stop her from destroying her career. Even married her and now is letting her reopen his jiju's case. All because this will teach her something. push her to be a good journalist.
