Part 49 FF: Anirudh Bondita became parents
Anirudh and Bondita returned from Aruna's house after a tiresome day.. but still both of their energies are not exhausted she insisted that today she will make coffee and went into kitchen and made it, brought the 2 cups of coffee.
She is amazed to see her Patibabu giggling and hardly controlling his laugh. She is wondered why is he laughing..when she asked it he immediately bursted into laughter and said that the way you trapped Dheeraj and Srijit,.ðŸ¤ðŸ¤ In court Bondita! it's amazing. I am in cloud nine by seeing your ultimate fierce avatar in court. Definitely Dheeraj might have got a heart stroke with your fierce avatar. Next time he will think atleast 10 times before being your opponent lawyer.
Bondita also laughed and blushed for his complement and said 'The entire credit goes to Aruna only Patibabu. If she had not gained courage and provoked Srijit it is impossible. Again I may have to request judge to give permission for postponing the judgement and rely on audio recording kind of evidences. But Dheeraj also know our strategy very well, he too had not accepted defeat till the last minute until I use my ultimate weapon.'
Anirudh: I have seen it, Dheeraj thought that you are trapping him to confess through his mouth but he didn't expect that you are trapping Srijit.
Bondita also nodded. Then he later pulled her towards him and congratulated her lovingly for the success of her first case.. She too felt so happy and melted in his embrace lovingly for his special rewards after her hardwork and achievements.
After 2 days Bondita personally met Aruna when she is about to leave. Aruna once again thanked for all the help. Her mother is worried about her safety. Bondita told that there are old but Quite healthy, energetic and cheerful couple living in the nearby house who used to enlighten others and make them come out of misery. With them Aruna is going to live. They are kind hearted and will take care of her. In their company Aruna will feel more relaxed and have her second and new life. They are once favoured by her husband and he spoke with them. This break and change of atmosphere is quite necessary for Aruna to cheer up and start a fresh life. During her final trimester you both also go and stay there. Aruna parents agreed.
Aruna father brought some money and about to give to Bondita as fees but she politely refused , told that she has done justification to her studies, she is just fulfilling the promise given to her guru, she doesn't need it.
Aruna father asked who is her guru who taught her and made her like a gem.
Before Bondita is about to say, Aruna only said her husband is her guru who taught her good values made her confident and self sufficient and raise her voice against injustice.
Aruna also told that 'Bondita ji, you may reject fees right now. But you have to accept one day when I earn my identity on that day if I give my hard earned money as your fees then you have to accept.'
Aruna mother brought one big bottle of pickle and gave to Bondita.Aruna left to Hooghly after emotional farewell to her parents.
Aruna case has created a sensation and paved way for many girls, women to raise their voice for injustice happening to them. Few of the girls, women came forward and started explaining their problems.
Of course many of them can't show much bravery like Aruna but still Bondita tried her level best to counsel their family members, spoke according to their way and trying her level best to get them justice.

Another 2 months passed away. Bondita's career is progressing well.
But she is recently suffering with back pain, sore breasts feeling uncomfortable and unable to sleep properly. Generally she gets pain in lower abdomen and it spreads to her thighs as menstrual cramps to her in her menstrual cycle time, but this month and last month she is still not getting her periods and this back pain is also different and continuing.
In the morning she is having mood swings like she used to have during her periods, but these mood swings are also quite different.
She want to have citrus fruit juices only, her appetite is changing as per her moods, moreover she is interested in eating very sour foods.
One evening Anirudh brought her favourite roshogullas and she too wants to eat it but when she took one piece towards her mouth she is unable to take it in her mouth anymore . Just then Anirudh received a phone call and he went to receive it. She is wondering why is this happening. But she doesn't want to disappoint Anirudh when he brought this with much love for her she is thinking how to eat and suddenly an idea flashed in her mind. She ran to kitchen and brought her favourite pickle which she brought from Aruna house and started eating roshogulla and achar at a time.
Anirudh came back and is surprised to see this wierd combination, change in her food habits, she used to crave for sweets generally but in these few days she started craving for pickles and chillies. He asked the reason for this change she also said that she don't know but she is enjoying this variety combination. He just shrugged off his shoulders. During dinner time she started eating green chillies in her food. Generally she used to skip both green and red chillies but now she is not leaving them.
He banged his head for this change and suddenly it striked that she usually used to show these mood swings during her periods time but this month it became late and may be her periods will start soon and perhaps these are the symptoms.
At that night she is still suffering with pain near her waist in her sleep when her Patibabu pulled her towards him she felt sudden pain still she tried to hide it. She tried to pretend she is ok but he started massaging near her abdomen which he generally used to do during her periods time. She told that it's ok and took another pillow kept near her waist and slept by hugging him.
Another 4 days passed away but her monthly periods didn't come. She is eating the pickle made by Aruna all the time and it irked Anirudh because she almost skipping her daily dose of fruits , Dry fruits in her food. In the evening, he forcedly took away pickle jar and strictly told her to eat apples first and Stop eating this pickle for next 10 days .
To his utter surprise she started crying like a child. She had never cried infront of him like that even in her childhood , only very few emotional incidents and that too before their love confession not after that. She used to argue and prove her version correct but now she given up arguing with him and started crying.
Binoy and Catherine came hurriedly and asked what happened. To their surprise which they couldn't even imagine in worst nightmare she started accusing like a child that her Patibabu don't love her.
They didn't understand for a moment what to say. Anirudh also softly cajoling her, making her understand that eating too much pickle and sour, spicy items are not good for health, BP will increase in this tender age.In their talks Catherine recollected her past experience that she carried a child upto 6 months and she too having her changes in her mood. She came to the present by Bondita's cry. Latter grabbed the pickle jar and went away despite of Anirudh's warnings. Binoy also recollected this kind of behaviour..for a while he saw this drastic change of behaviour in shubhra when she is carrying Bhatuk. Because during Anirudh's time his late wife didn't have courage to speak with him and share her pain, feelings,etc.
Anirudh smacked his head not understanding why she is behaving childishly Catherine smirked and told that he should take her to doctor.
Anirudh in other thoughts told that yes he has to take her to doctor, he has to check if psychiatrist is available or not. If not available also he will take her to out of state,out of country for treatment. Catherine pulled his ears and told Budhu not to psychiatrist but to gynaecologist. He should take appointment of a gynaecologist and take her immediately.
He told that it is the matter of mood swings of her mind so psychiatrist is better choice. But Catherine and Binoy immediately told that just listen to us and take her to gynaecologist. You may come to know why she is behaving like this. he reluctantly nodded his head only thinking of her.
Actually his mind didn't expect the probability of pregnancy because she is having back pain he is assuming that she will get periods in next couple of days, his focus is on her mood swings and crying like a baby, eating spicy food all the time.
All of a sudden Bondita got fainted and sat on ground restlessly. Catherine asked Anirudh to take to doctor immediately and he took her to hospital. She is unable to walk from parking place to inside hospital , she is panting when she is walking.
Anirudh felt worried if she is having asthma also along with back pain. Lady doctor thoroughly done check up by taking her inside room. Here Anirudh impatiently roaming in doctor's room , can't even sit peacefully and becoming nervous for Bondita's health, why doctor is taking much time.
After a while Bondita is slowly walking and nurse made her to sit in chair. Although she is weak but she is blushing with happiness and Anirudh is looking at her perplexed. Lady doctor happily said that Congratulations Mr. Anirudh Roy Chowdhary, your wife is pregnant.
Anirudh's happiness has no limits. But he informed doctor worriedly the sudden change in her behaviour, crying like a child, back pain, panting hard to walk, all.
Lady doctor told that : During pregnancy, women will have mood swings due to hormonal changes in their body. But I should also inform you another important thing that you have to be very careful about her health because she is not carrying a single child I am suspecting that she is carrying 2-3 children in her womb. That's the reason she is panting hard and having asthma.
Bondita is extremely happy but in Anirudh's face his happiness is subsided by his concern about Bondita that how can she carry multiple babies , if Bondita is fine and he expressed his worry. She slightly patted her Patibabu hand he is thinking too much as if she is too sensitive and delicate like a glass piece.
Lady doctor told that as of now she is fine. But you have to bring her to Medical checkup much regularly than normal pregnant women who is carrying a single child. She shouldn't get stressed, avoid long journeys. She should not get strained. She should take healthy diet and suggested some medicines. They both took leave from her. She can work from home by taking sufficient rest.
Both of them are in cloud nine but right now he is completely concerned about Bondita, her health and he slowly made her walk and carefully made her sit in car. He just hugged her tightly not bothering much about surroundings for this happiness and both of them said Thankyou for this happiness at a time.
He slowly drove the car , bought medicines fruits, bought her favourite spicy food also and they reached home. Binoy Catherine are eagerly waiting and Anirudh announced the news. Both of them are happy.
At that time only Bhatuk also made a call and told that Tapur is pregnant and doctor told her to have bed rest till the completion of her first trimester, he requested if any of the elders have to come because he can't leave the work in Bombay and get back.
Binoy also told that even Bondita is also pregnant carrying multiple babies she may also need bed rest. Both brothers and sisters congratulated eachother on phone and asked others to take care of health. Anirudh told that he will take care of Bondita and asked them to go to Tapur.
They made call to Shomik Rimjhim and told good news from both daughters. They are also very happy and in dilemma to stay with which daughter. She is equally worried for both of them.
They immediately reached Calcutta home and discussing about this. Rimjhim made all the pickles and brought there as requested by Bondita At that time only Trilochan came and wished them.
Somnath has got a job offer in major hospital in Karnataka state and its surrounding villages . His children also wants a change of place because of the recent child marriage fiasco they have faced. So he with his family decided to shift there and Trilochan also approved for his grandchildren sake . Also there are other doctors in Tulsipur to take care of the villagers. Anirudh Bondita, Binoy Catherine insisted Trilochan to come and stay with them for some time and impose the farm lands work on reliable farmers and he can occassionally or monthly visit and know about the situation. Trilochan also agreed and settled in Calcutta home.
Catherine suggested that Rimjhim and Shomik should go to Bombay as both Bhatuk and Tapur are new to the place there and elders assistance that too Tapur mother will be there means she will also feel more comfortable. Bondita also agreed and told Rimjhim that ' Kaki, you should go there and I won't have any problem with it. Rimjhim and Shomik left to Bombay.
From that day onwards Anirudh started taking special care for Bondita. Trilochan also brought some special pickles sent by sampoorna and arranged in kitchen.
She started working from home by taking rest and clients started visiting her in their study room. She only step out for doctor appointments and court hearings and just for walking for fresh air.
He brought her long frocks as her belly is increasing and she is having hard time to wear saree. He specially ordered tailor to stitch comfortable salwar kameez suits and long nighties for her. Trilochan doesn't like this change of dressing but still he didn't react much because she is carrying multiple babies and Anirudh Bondita had proved many times directly or indirectly that his narrow minded thinking is wrong.
When she is working from home and explaining the law points with her clients, Trilochan used to joke that their unborn children will learn barristry course from her womb only. She is taken to hospital for regular checkup, Anirudh is having hard time with her mood swings.
One day she demand sour items, one day she wanted him to say little kids bed time Stories , one day she wants him to hold her close and one day she avoids him completely feeling too shy.
One day she wants to make hot and passionate love with him, on that day he will be having most tough time because one side he has to control his feelings because he doesn't want to put any pressure on her body but other side he has to fulfill her wishes. Other day she feel so embarrassed for demanding hot and passionate love from him at this stage.
Suddenly she started crying realising that she is demanding too much in all matters from him. She apologized him when he returned from his day work, she also told that she can't stop controlling her desires for him as she is feeling too.much white discharge which is exciting her sexually, can't stop thinking of their intimacy moments .
He just smiled and embraced her, lovingly consoled her and said it's ok, doctor also said that it happens for many women during pregnancy. I would really feel bad if you compress your feelings infront of me.I feel that you are treating me as stranger. I am always ready to deal.with your mood swings and made her comfortable.
Although he had to visit his law firm office and Bangal khabar office he didn't assign himself any extra works and made sure that he need not go out of station atleast till Bondita's delivery is done.
But an unexpected work came on his head during her 8th month.. There is an emergency situation if he won't go he can't excuse himself. As he arranged a telephone connection in every village for people to tell their problems during awareness camps and one day he received such a call. It is mentioned in telephone that a little girl Poornima of 4 years is getting child marriage secretly and her parents left the world. She is threatened by her own dada dadi because her parents passed away in an accident and Poornima is left with her little sister 6 months Shorbari.
Her paternal grandparents are mercilessly getting her married because they are upset with the fact that their bahu gave birth to 2 girls, wants to get rid of them.
Her maternal grandparents has done the call to Anirudh, explaining about their condition that they are very poor and obviously they don't have voice infront of their samdhis because they are saas sasur of their daughter, very influential in the village,. going against them is something they can't do. But also they can't see their granddaughters pain.
So they heard about Anirudh as a reformer and the telephone connection in nearby town. They wished if he could send them to any charity house and arrange basic needs for their survival and made a phone call with hope on him atleast a better life than child marriages to the girls.
Anirudh immediately responded told that he is coming and he explained everything to Bondita. She also asked him to help the girls and if possible bring them here we can see what we can do to them. She asked him not to worry for her. He smiled at her and asked her to take care and he left.
Trilochan tried to argue that instead of himself going ask Gagan to send police and save the girls because Bondita needs him.
But both Anirudh and Bondita made him understand the situation and he too reluctantly agreed. Her delivery time is approaching because doctor told that if multiple babies are there means mother will deliver much earlier than the actual labour time
Anirudh hurriedly went to a distant village and informed Gagan about it. Gagan had informed local police and asked them to take the persons into custody whoever are conducting child marriage, not to take bribes and close the case. They agreed with him.
He met those maternal grandparents (Birinchi and sarada) They told that they only know marriage is fixed today but don't know about venue.They have tough time to know where marriage is arranged . No one in the village are giving proper information about the venue. Anirudh lost his cool and asked the police to make them reveal the truth by hook or crook.
Police had pointed gun and finally one villager revealed that marriage is going to be done in a godown kind of area. They hurriedly reached there.
Little Poornima is crying when sitting in mandap and another kid of 6 months old is crying in a saree cradle tied to a rod.
Anirudh immediately stopped the wedding and blamed dada, dadi for being merciless to their own granddaughters. He made everyone arrested..
They also blamed their samdhis Birinchi and sarada and Anirudh for spoiling this. Poornima chacha recollected him as Anirudh Roy Chowdhary who very well know about his life story and tried to mock him that what relationship will you have with these girls. Years ago you saved a child bride who is about to become sati and married her . Now will you marry this poornima also.
Anirudh is really frustrated that when this people Change their thinking process. He immediately caught hold of poornima chacha throat to mind his language but others taunted that he will leave the girls in hostel and they will be left as an orphans
Anirudh felt the same situation which he faced during Bondita when he saved her from sati.
Anirudh told that he will take poornima and her sister to his home as his children get them educated and stand on their feet. The mob mocked that it's not easy to become parents and that too raising some other children who are not blood relatives. but Anirudh too replied that what goodness had these dada dadi , chacha have instead of being blood relatives to girls, he told them that fatherhood or parents love is not bounded to only blood relation it can also be connected to children with hearts.
Some other mocked that he cannot love them similar to his own children, his wife may not co-operate with him. But he told them sternly that my wife is my soul, my goddess she will be more happy if I take these girls to our house as our Children. From today onwards these are my daughter's. Anyways I need not give any explanation to anyone and turned to Birinchi and sarada talked to them, made them understand that he will take them and girls with him to Calcutta, give work to them and make the girls educated.
The old couple raised their doubt what happens to their granddaughters future after their demise. As they are already old and having health Problems. He told that he will take care of the girls as his own children and promised them that from now onwards Poornima and Shorbari are Anirudh and Bondita Roy Chowdhary daughters. If you want I shall also adopt them legally. They both folded hands infront of them. He went near poornima who is moving the cradle to her Little sister.
Anirudh stood on knees and introduced himself to her. She is looking at him silently. He spoke softly with him and requested her to come to Calcutta with him along with her Maternal grandparents. She simply nodded and when he is about to take her by holding her hand she told that she is very hungry as no one gave her food from yesterday.
He felt very painful and hurriedly searched for food. He went to a house, paid them money and bought food from a house and fed her. She too ate eagerly. He asked Sarada to feed milk to other girl. When she is shivering he took little Shorbari into his hands and made her take milk with spoon. He recollected his talks with Bondita that he once told in these.pregnanct Time that he will also feed their children milk after she had completed breastfeeding. He felt sad looking at these sisters condition and thought that Bondita will understand him and support his decision.
In Calcutta suddenly labour pains started to Bondita and everyone took her to hospital. She is eagerly waiting for her Patibabu arrival. Here Anirudh also felt uneasy while on the way to Calcutta with girls and her Nana Nani.
It's getting night and as soon as he reached Calcutta home Servants told that Bondita is joined in hospital. He didn't get even down from car and drove to hospital with them.
He got down and by looking at the old.couple, children he asked them to sit for sometime he need to check his wife who is having labour pains. They said it's ok. Children are sleeping. There Trilochan Binoy and Catherine are getting tensed outside and felt happy that he finally reached. They told that Bondita is asking for him continuously, she is so scared.
Anirudh asked catherine to look at the people whom he brought, make them comfortable and they are his responsibility.She assured him that she will take care of them. and he requested nurse who is passing into labour room to let him allow inside. They asked if he is her husband. He said yes and he was allowed inside.
He immediately rushed inside and saw Bondita struggling with pains. She felt delighted to see that he is back. He held her hands , wiped her tears and asked her to be brave and requested doctor to let him stay with her in this critical time. They too agreed.
Catherine spoke with hospital officials, arranged a room for girls, went to Birinchi sarada and they are asked to sit as Anirudh's wife is having labour pains. They felt grateful to Anirudh because he left his wife in this critical stage and came for them She asked them to relax there in the room and they said ok.
Anirudh is cajoling her . With much difficult she gathered courage and pushed her belly. In the final stage doctors took the babies with forceps and finally she gave birth to a girl who came out first and followed by her twin brothers who look alike within gap of 5 mins each.
Finally they became parents to their babies. Nurses took babies and cleaned them and gave to Anirudh. He has shown them to Bondita , she felt very delighted and both shedded tears happily. He later went outside and shown it to Trilochan, Binoy and Catherine. They are also very much delighted to see them and later came to meet Bondita.
They all expressed happiness and asked about her health She said she is fine. After a while she asked about the girls for whom he left. He briefed the incidents happened there and told that even Poornima and Shorbari are also their daughters. We have total 5 children.
Bondita appreciated his decision and asked him to bring them here. He told that they are sleeping. He brought Birinchi and sarada and introduced to his family. They greeted them. Bondita asked them to rest in their home, she too assured them that she will take care of Poornima and Shorbari along with her children. They blessed her and told that they will wait in other room..
Later Trilochan told them that it's impossible to raise others children. But Bondita immediately told that : 'Kaka sasurji, even you took care of Patibabu and Bhatuk when saasuma left the world and sasurji is busy in his business. Sita Mata is also raised by Maharaj Janak and she is not related to him with blood and there is no difference he had shown between Sita Mata and her sister Urmila. Think that I have given birth to 5 children at a time, then will you say that we can't raise them.'
Trilochan doesn't have any answer infront of his bahu arguments. Anirudh told his kaka, baba that not to create any disturbance or threaten the old couple and make them go away which I can't appreciate. Binoy said it's ok, it is upto you couple and we everyone know about your passion towards change in society.
Later Anirudh had sent them to home to take rest and ensure that he will take care of Bondita. They left. He also insisted Birinchi and sarada to leave to their home but they told that you have done a lot to us, we shall wait with you take care of Bondita beta if she want any help. Anirudh told it's not needed but they insisted.
She gave breastfeeding to her children and made them to sleep. As they are too little they only took few drops and slept. Just at the time Shorbari woke up from sleep and is crying in other room. Anirudh rushed to bring her. He lifted her in his hands and trying to cajole her. He asked nurse to arrange milk for 6 months girl. But Bondita couldn't see her cries and immediately took her and gave her breasts milk. Surprisingly Shorbari too drank and became quite in Bondita's arms..
Anirudh, sarada became emotional seeing it. Poornima also just then woke up from sleep and saw that her sister is given milk by unknown woman and she started sobbing silently. Anirudh asked her softly: Beta why are you crying. She told that after mother went to god no one had taken care of them.
Bondita asked her to come near to her and told that Bhagwan Ji has told us to take care of you. Will you accept us as your parents. She said yes and called her maa. Bondita embraced her and Shorbari and asked them to call Anirudh as baba. Poornima called him as baba. Anirudh Bondita jointly hugged the girls.
As Bondita is healthy she is discharged after 2 days. Trilochan, Binoy didn't say anything against poornima and Shorbari or their Nana Nani as they all know how would Anirudh react if they are against it. Also deep in their hearts they also understood Bondita's arguments and agreed to the fact that they are unique and always wants to do good for society.
Anirudh, Bondita once again done grihapravesh with their 5 children. There Tapur had 10 more days for her delivery as she is Carrying single child.
Anirudh informed Somnath family and Bhatuk Tapur that they are parents to 5 children. Everyone appreciated his decision.
Naamkaran function is arranged and Anirudh, Bondita named their children as Vidya, Nitish and Saketh. They also adopted Poornima and Shorbari legally and became parents.
