It is very convenient to term people as extremists and let them off the hook...well one is an extremist as long as their ideology doesn't translate into terrorizing people by hurting/killing them....the minute that happens they can be termed as terrorists....

Your neighbor is neither an extremist or a terrorist.....he would be an extremist if he goes around saying that no one should marry out of religion because his religion is the best and tries to impose his opinion on others......but he is just wanting it for his own son.....he would be a terrorist if he got so mad at the idea of his son marrying in another religion..that he tries to intimidate/hurt/kill the people of other religions.....there is a clear difference...
