Why just youngsters?

Youngsters don't even idolize these stars anymore. It's the millennials and gen x who continue worshipping actors. That's why Khans are still relevant while the generation of Ranbir, Ranveer etc. don't have a crazy fan-following.

So true... millenials to hadh hai they strive on hating people, making memes and trolling. I genuinely feel sorry for them. Twitter being their primary social media outlet where everyone just procrastinates all day. With the exception of people who are using it for better.

look it's not wrong in being a fan, following everywhere (social platforms), but making them their idol, picking up fights with people just coz their views don't suit their favourites, expecting your favs to do something and if they didn't writing loong parahs that how they didn't act in a certain way in a certain topic..... Is wrong

Nothing wrong with admiring someone for their talent or ability to play a sport, act, sing, write, paint, preach etc... all of it is simply a way to appreciate those special people GOD is kind enough to send to earth so they can help make our own journey more enjoyable. However no one should be idolized nor given godlike status, because most of the time it is not only detrimental to the idolizer but it is also a burden to the idolized.

People should learn to keep the fanatism in check and enjoy whatever talent others have with no strings attached, meaning you may find that you are diametrically opposed to a celebs philosophy of life or to their political views, religious etc. to the point that you would not even consider having someone like them as a part of your life or even as a friend, so you STOP supporting them in every way and just move on. You can idolize someone then find out they have done or said something so preposterous or unacceptable that you are disgusted. That is when you realize that these people are just that: people. Some nice and kind, some messed up and revolting, BUT just people like you and me, going thru this life, confused, scared, happy, loving, hating...and so much more.

PLEASE all of you idolize yourself, idolize your close relatives, for sure idolize GOD or whatever supreme being you have faith in, but stay grounded and clear headed to follow your instinct and your very own opinion, to live this life the best way you can, in the end this is the only fanatism that matters.

I think you guys are giving idolisation a very negative meaning

AFAIK it means liking someone a LOT and wanting to be like them. I do not see anything wrong with it if someone admires a person with talent or skills and wishes to be like them.

The issue is with fanaticism. Becoming a fanatic of a person and putting down other people to "defend" your favourite is unhealthy.

Writing long paras to discuss the merits/demerits of a person or their skills or an idea is also something I do not find any issue with, as long as it doesn't come down to name calling and trolling.
