Why badi ma brings Aastha in every situation?

I never understood it. She has much more problem with Aastha than anyone in the entire Sabherwal household.

Badi maa's day starts and ends with cursing Aastha.

But I don't understand why she hates Aastha so much? It clear she doesn't love Shaurya that much. She doesn't even understand him. He's more of a trophy for her who she flaunts in front of everyone.

Notice how she taunts Shaan everytime by saying she took care of Shaurya while Aastha left her child behind.

Do you guys think there's some backstory for Badi maa and Aastha too? Maybe she's jealous of Aastha?

It's her insecurity. Aastha is a strong, intelligent and independent woman. I think she is worried if Aastha comes back, she won't be able to rule that house anymore.

Exactly. Aastha is a woman of integrity and strength. While our badi maa is selfish and arrogant.

It must've been that since Aastha entered Sabherwal house, she was everyone's favourite and Badi maa felt neglected. This is why the jealousy

I have a feeling that she was jealous of astha as she couldn't have kids and astha had a son.. and when astha left she took shaurya away from her and managed to stuff so much hatred against astha in his head.. If she truly loved shaurya he would have never remembered astha or be sad at the fact that his mom left him.. because he was just 4 and in these many years he would have over come her absence she he had another woman mothering him.. but devi love is only about filling his head against his mother.. and thats why he still craves his own mother over devi.. devi very well understands this and leaves no reason to blame astha for everything..

It's just a matter of time.. astha shaan shaurya and anokhi are all very strong minded ppl.. when they stand for themselves neither of the sabhrawals will stand a chance.. and the clock will turn back to the same situation once shaurya falls in love with anokhi..

@bold: That has been my belief since I first heard it mentioned as well. I can only assume that bad I am and papa got married before Aastha and Shaun, and Sharma already being 4 years old doesn’t jive with their reasoning. I assume they had ample time to have kids before Aastha had to leave to take care of her elderly parents

She just wants to make it look like its aastha's fault infront of shaurya. Badi maa never wants shaurya and aastha together she took shaurya away from aastha..she would never want shaurya to find out badi maa is at fault

I think Badi ma is secretly in love with Astha and can't help but remember her on every occassion.
