Sanjay is Babita's then friend's son. I remember reading in gossip rags back then about how after the broken engagement with Abhishek Babita found her friend's son, who is an heir to a fortune as Karisma's husband to be... Her mother most probably found a rich guy to get her married off, post Amitabh refusal to her condition of transferring some of his properties to Abhishek and Karishma's name.

Sanjay was always a known womanizer he was married to another Mumbai socialite Nandita Mahatani while they were both living in London. The reason for their divorce was Sanjay's multiple infidelities. Since Nandita moves around in the same circle as bollywood elite insider circle as Karishma (after her divorce at one point Nandita was linked with Ranbir) it was hard to believe Karishma or her mother did not know about Sanjay' character before marriage. Maybe she thought he would change. Sanjay is not a saint bu Karishma and her mother clearly were more after Sanjay's money than anything. I wouldn't put it past him to force his wife to sleep with his friends since I have heard some Delhi richie riches are in to wife swapping. Sanjay was never known to be a saint anyways.

  Sanjay's friend complained that KK never wanted to settle in Delhi with him spent most of her time in Mumbai and Sanjay had to travel to Mumbai if he had to see his kid or spent time with KK. They were rumours of trouble in paradise since the day she shifted to Mumbai but then out of nowhere the news of her second pregnancy  came out so everyone thought they had reconciled. If he was such a monster as she is painting him to be, why did she reconciled and have a second despite shifting to Mumbai with her first child is my question? why did not Babita intervene when her friend was beating her daughter?

It just doesn't add up. Her husband was trying to pimp her and abusing her. She moves out quickly and goes to another city. Meanwhile, she keeps using his money. Her apartment was bought by Sanjay. Then after years of separation and public fights, they decide to have another child. Sanjay had refused to even get Samaira a passport so she couldn't travel with Karishma abroad. She talked about it in public. Everyone knew about their problems. After all that, she decided to have another kid with him while continuing to live separately in another city.

If he was really an abuser and pimp, why is she letting her kids even hang out with him? What's the need of putting such a bad influence around her kids? It makes no sense at all to let your kids hang around an abuser and rapist. That kind of a dad is not needed. 

I think they were both just throwing dirt at each other to get a better divorce settlement. I doubt half the stuff is true. 

The kids looks perfectly fine and he includes them in his family with his new wife too.

I did not read any of your comments but we ended up writing very similar stuff...Karishma and Sanjay's marriage and all the drama in their marriage reported in the media back then. 

Wow, I did not know that Sanjay and Priya was this involved with Kian an Samaira. I mean usually W men do not take their kid's from the first wife when they go on foreign vacations with the second family. I'm talking about Saif, Boney here. People like Raj Kundra cut all ties with his first born child just to keep Shilpa happy. 

Priya got divorced from the much richer Vikram Chatwal because of his vices. Hard to believe she will put up with Sanjay for this long.

Mother can definitely fight for sole custody. She can prove to the court that he's an abuser and tried to get her raped by his friends. Those are serious charges. Just randomly saying it in the media does nothing except give him bad PR and make her look better. 

If the guy is such a villain, the mom should be trying her best to keep him away from the kids. What's the guarantee that he won't abuse them too? 

But nothing like that is true IMO. The kids seems fine and happy with their dad. He was a bad husband and never loved her and always cheated but I don't buy any of the other stuff. I think Babita and Karishma were just fighting dirty to get better divorce terms.

How is her powerful family quiet over this??

If what she is saying is untrue....why is her ex quiet and not clearing his name or filing a defamation suit?

Why did Karishma choose to have a second child with him considering that he is such an evil man..

These are the questions that bother me..

???  No, she's telling people her husband abused her and was the architect of her rape.  Prostitution is consensual for monetary benefit. This was neither unless one considers marriage to be prostitution.

lots of husbands are sharing their wives these days, especially in the rich people circle. This is a normal thing actually, these only open up when divorces happen for some other reason. I think it must have happend in this case

Husbands can't share their wives since husbands don't own their wives.   Men and women can have open marriages where they agree they can be with other people.  This is not what Karisma alleges happened - she's said she was physically forced to be with his friends.  That's rape.

Exactly. Which is why I think he might have convinced her at some point and looking back she felt it was forced. Usually the truth lies somewhere in between 2 stories.

Both parties are shady asf

I don’t know what happened in their relationship but I feel bad for karishma - feels like she lost it all together - family life, professional life. I’m sure she is happy with her two kids and her life revolves around them now. Can’t say same for her ex husband.
