Deepika Padukone's manager Karishma Prakash has resigned from KWAN Talent Agency. Karishma Prakash has been summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after alleged drugs were seized from her residence.

A statement from Vijay Subramaniam, co-founder and CEO of KWAN, read, "Karishma Prakash tendered her resignation on 21 October with immediate effect and it was accepted. She now has nothing to do with KWAN or with any of the artistes that the agency represent, including Deepika Padukone. The ongoing investigations are on Karishma Prakash as an individual".

This is an attempt to whitewash by KWAN. Sad that they don't stand by their own.

I think she should have asked for more. Look how strongly Rhea is getting  supported. But then again, It’s in the interest of a lot of very influential people to keep Rhea safe whereas only DP stands to gain by paying off Karishma and distancing herself from her.

Such is life in the big bad city.

You slog and slog for these companies and they don't waste a minute getting rid of you. Reality of life.

I don't know if she deserved getting her career absolutely demolished and as if this PR company did not give her the agency and direction to do WHATEVER it takes to keep their client happy.

Typical corporate culture of protecting the company first :-(

She's still an adult who can make decisions. Didn't she know it was the kind of risk she was taking dealing with drugs ?

Many people do anything to succeed in job. They forget their companies would be first to sacrifice them, if any controversy arises.

Love yourself more than your work. Do nothing which compromises with your ethics and morals.
