Wait, raazi is an official adaption of his book, Calling Sehmat. Is he saying, he adapted his book into the movie Raazi, wrote the screenplay but wasn’t credited? Or that his book wasn’t credited enough?

Andhadun won national film award for best adapted screenplay, but won Filmfare award for best screenplay.

My confusion aside, it brings up a good point regarding lack of creativity, and BW needs to step up its game. The last movies that were turning points in both Alia and Ayushmann’s careers were both based on hit books/movies, not original work.

Bollywood film awards don’t Have separate awards like best adapted screenplay and best original screenplay. There’s no original story award. Just beat screenplay and best story
