Will my mom like my girl??

How many men have had to face this situation in your life?? I know this forum has more no of girls than guys even then I would appreciate if you could spend some thoughts on this one. As women , we never think of the fear that a man goes through in his life. Many a times their fear, apprehensions get side lined because they are considered to be stronger of the two, though reality is they are just as human as we women are.

In a man's his life mom and wife are the two important women and he wants his women to like and respect each other. He loves both of them in their own way , but he would consider himself blessed if these two women like and respect each other. This fear is so beautifully done. For Naina ,it was important that her chacha ji should like her man. Now its Sameer's turn.

For a guy's mom , her son is always a HERO...so she will be looking for a HEROIN as her son's wife !! ROFL...this is the reality of our society in 90s... and it continues to be the same... I don't think I see a difference even now...not sure of any exceptional cases...( Nothing against anyone...just highlighting the reality...that's all ) So both their worry is normal.

For Sameer , Naina is his world. He has made sure that his mom understood this part clearly . He not only emphasized the importance of her presence in his life but also highlighted that his Nanu also thought very highly of his girl. My request to the viewers , pls don't think Sameer doesn't consider Naina to be beautiful. My dear ppl beauty fades with time, what remains is the love , understanding and respect between two people. For Sameer her looks have never mattered , here the context of beauty came in because he understands how the society judges a girl and I am sure he will stand by her. He might fight with her , he might scold her , he might get angry with her but he will never let her down..at least not knowingly. This is a guy , even during the bet phase he has always tried to safe guard her image. So , his affection for her has to be understood by us.

This road to get his side of the family and her side of the family to accept wont be easy for them...we are bound to get to see them arguing a lot during this phase because that's what will happen in reality...especially in a love marriage.

My request, don't jump into conclusion ...stay calm and watch the episode.

PS: If he doesn't think her to be beautiful, why did he ask her for a Kiss?? Think logically ...he is very much attracted to her , not just emotionally but physically also...its his upbringing and respect for her that restrains him.

Wat u hve mentioned is every gals fear that she goes thru the phase of numerous selection n then the acceptance ..However the guy is, b uneducated, darkskinned etc etc...they r always given a leeway even if they wud b 100 faults in them... but its always the gal they want to be at par in everything...She shud b perfect!!!!..Moms of sons especially hve their nose raise in pride cos thy hve borne a Heera n anything less than tat can be tarnishing to their kids life or his future( with regards to their grandkids ) n the image in society!!!

Actually nooone shud judge Sam...After watching nearly 300 epsdes n if few of them hve doubbts on him...then i feel they hvent understud him nor his love...!!The guy is literally madly n deeply into her...complrtely submergeddd!!!! They were mny gals around him luring his attention n still are...but his heart beats for her...If he wanted beauty or even say physicality from any...he could hve got it anyways n anywhere but then when his soul is under the reigns of his darling Jane...all others r ...worthless ...pointless...doesnt stand a chance ..He has loved his gal with all his mind n heart ...n he desires her very much...from head to toe...every inch of her... with each n every passing second..minute by minute...!! Now tats call craziness n hoplessly in love...

This dialogue sums it all...and think about it , a son is telling his mother about the girl in his life. Any mom will definitely understand what this girl means to her son.

And I cant understand why people think that Sameer doesn't consider Naina to be beautiful??!! Physical appearance has no value when a person consider you as his world...for him her presence is what is important not her appearance...his fear is very realistic , he wants his mom to love the girl he fell for...and that thought is very natural and that's the way it should be ..

I feel the girl always go through the phase of presenting herself in the best possible way so she gets selected in the arrange marriage. When we talk about love-arrange marriage it's a little different. Then the selection process is little easier on girl because the guy is already liking her. In those cases, the mother will still look at the appearance but education and cultural values will hold equal importance. When my husband talked about us to his family, at first they did comment on my looks but later when we met couple times they started noticing my nature, the values I hold and my education, job, etc. In the entire process my husband was equally nervous. I feel same will be true for Naina as her outer beauty doesn't matter when she is beautiful and strong inside. If she can support Sameer through thick and thin than that's what will matter to his mother as well. Knowing Vishakha is a very open minded person. 😊

Also in the love-arrange, boy has to go through some selection process too. Just like what we saw with Sameer and chachaji.

I think its a yes from Vishaka...she has understood the fact that if she takes Naina away from her son , then he will have nothing to hold on too...what I liked in the episode is the fear that Sameer and Naina had about appearance .. because when the girl is not that beautiful according to the social stds then this fear is bound to happen with in every couple...I know this kind of attitude and thought isn't rt because we are all creations of god and we are no one to judge his creations...every individual has his/her strengths and weakness...sadly ppl do judge and that's the truth...I made this post because a lot of people felt bad thinking Sameer doesn't consider Naina beautiful...I just wanted to highlight that , for him , she is his world...what is beauty in front of that thought!!??...he is scared that his mom might not like her because his mom is from Delhi and she attends those high profile parties where the girls are of a diff league...hence the fear...but what he doesn't understand is for a mom her son's happiness matters a lot, If Naina is able to prove that she can keep Sameer happy ...that's it ...Vishaka will be on her side ..just the way Chacha ji was convinced with Sameer.

i will tell you a personal instance of my niece. When she liked and said yes to a prospective groom, everyone was shocked. She is very fair in complexion and he has a very dark complexion. Her comment was "yes I agree he is dark and not great looking but there was something in him that made me like him and I said Yes"

After he talks about looks, he does that according to him no other girl could match with his Naina, that clearly shows what she for him...Sameer from the beginning was not someone who cared about beauty...she doesn't pay 2 hoots to it...but he knows how the society goes about it ...that's his fear...
I do have a doubt if it will bring up paper cheating issue...I mean Vishaka can ask Naina's opinion changed about her son??..and Naina might tell the truth to his mom...probably Sameer might be upset after hearing the fact that she knew her brother had cheated and he was blamed for it ...never know what CVs have in their mind.

A very beautiful post ! Sameer somewhere knows Naina is not the heroine or the jannat ki pari that his mom may be wanting for him. Even initially he thought of Naina as behenji, but this behenji is his world now and him conveying this to his mother was so soothing😳, He is pretty clear on his choice and just wants his mom to like Naina and see her in the same light as he does! 😃One thing for sure, he will never desert her or leave her come what may under any pressure situation is what i feel.

Sameer clearly said mujhe koi farak nahi padta & hedoesnt like anyone telling to his Naina...Even Naina says her ki Duniya ki khobsurat ladki...which means she is khibsurat in Sameers eyes
