Dipika is not a small kid. She's an adult. If she changed her religion with her own will and her parents also supported her, why are members here bashing her for doing that?
Nowhere it's written in the article that Shoaib forced her to change the religion. What's wrong in changing a religion to marry the love of ur life?

I really feel members are being unfair to her by bashing her. Just because they won't change their religion that doesn't mean others are wrong by changing it. If she leads a happy life with her husband for the rest of her life then it's a good thing. Why should she sacrifice her happiness because they belong to different religions? Of course they could have done a court marriage but it's their choice and mutual decision. Who are we to judge them?

I see some members here crossing the line by bashing Muslim religion.

Not like she will start reciting 5 times Namaz, fast in Ramzan etc. There was their interview video on YouTube post their reception in mumbai, she was asked about this, she clearly said that she will remain 'Dipika' for her friends, fans and others, religion conversion was personal decision and she doesnt wish to talk about it. It was like pick up one Muslim name just for Nikah. Baaki, you dont become Hindu, Muslim or Christian by name. She can keep one Christian name as well and recite 2-3 paragraph of Bible. It doesn't matter until and unless you truely wish to follow that religion.

All paths leads to God and I'm sure he must be having a good laugh at this long discussion on my path is better than yours 😆 it doesn't make a difference if youre a Deepika or a Faiza or a Diana as long as youre true to yourself and happy in your beliefs. A lot of people convert because they find a certain set of rules more suitable to their liking because that's all that is different about religions the whole basic concept behind them is same the rules and rituals only differ. But yes don't change your beliefs for another person's approval of you thats not cool such a person who would rather change you than accept you the way you are doesn't deserve you. But if she truly feels this is the path for her and she is happy and content with it then good for her. But if she did it just to marry and fit in then I kinda feel sad for her no one should be manipulated to change their beliefs .

I have a genuine question. Please don't consider it derogatory but how does one become a practicing or a non practicing Hindu/Muslim/Sikh/Christian. I believe in almighty and his love for his children. Does that make me a practicing dash religion person?

Exactly

I don't think there was any force from his side.

It looks like a mutual decision to follow Muslim wedding rituals.

Back to Mumbai, back to your original name. 😆 It's not even conversion.

i dont know about other religions, but in islam there are five things that we hav to do, they r called the 5 pillars of islam, first is that we hav to believe that there is only one god and the prophet pbuh is the last messenger, 2nd we hav to pray five times a day, third is keeping fasts for 30 days in ramadan, and then zakat and hajj, this is wat is considered as a practising muslim

but even if u dont do these things it doesn't mean that ur not a muslim, you are a muslim if u believe two things, that Allah is the only god and muhammad pbuh is the last messenger

anyway this is a bollywood forum, not a religion one lol, so dont wanna go into deep discussions here

And if its her personal matter , then why give interview regarding this and then expect people not to be judgmental?

She did not give an IV for it.. She was asked about her name change during her reception when she and shoaib were there for press interactions
