While Kabir Khan and Salman Khan have been quite good friends, the two have also been a deadly combination professionally giving the audience blockbusters in the form of Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. They were last seen associating in Tubelight, however, the film tanked at the box office and it cost the two their friendship, as per reports in Deccan Chronicle to whom a friend of Salman told that both Salman and Kabir are not on talking terms. As per what a source told the newspaper, "The differences between them have been brewing for some time now. Tubelight was the end of their friendship. Salman and Kabir had heated arguments over how the film and its characters needed to be treated. There were stand-offs in full view of the entire unit, where Kabir would not give in to Salman's suggestions. Also, read: Salman Khan seems to be making it a practice to fight with directors!

Well, stories about the rift between the 2 date back to the shooting days from Ladakh, though the two often laughed on such reports, they were also all praises for each other. In fact, Kabir had also posted a picture on Instagram refuting rumours. And not blowing things out of proportion, the 2 of them simply put an end to their friendship, well, you wonder how, right? So Kabir who directed Ek Tha Tiger was replaced by Ali Abbas Zafar for the sequel of the film, which hinted at something not being right between Kabir and bhaijaan.

Further talking to DC, the source added that "We can comfortably assume that Ali Abbas now occupies the place in Salman's professional and personal range that Kabir occupied earlier. Ali is more open to Salman's suggestions than Kabir was. Ali and Salman have worked on two blockbusters Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. And if their third film together, Bharat, is a smash success, Ali Zafar would be one-up on Kabir, since his last film with Salman, Tubelight, didn't work. Also, reports add that Kabir had approached Salman for a fourth film but the superstar did not show much interest in the offer. No, we wonder till when this cold war between the dynamic team will go on. On the professional front, Salman will be seen next in Race 3 and later in Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat, while Kabir is seen working with Ranveer Singh on his film based on the cricket world cup titled 1983.
