Kareena and Ranveer were first choice for Ram Leela. Kareena signed on, did some scenes and then left for reasons best known to her. I think she said she did not want to do intimate scenes. DP then stepped in. Kareena and DP were the only ones considered for Leela. Katrina was never in the running. Plenty of articles are proof of this in this forum itself if you want to look back five or six years.

Seriously? Like you don't know the reason? The movie can be termed as soft-po*n, i am sure Kareena is not down for stuff like that.

Kareena was supposed to do Ram Leela but she found Ranveer a bit chichora and a newbie to do intimate scenes with. So she served Ram Leela in platter to DP.
