Thabby, yes Kanta said this indeed...she said Mehak's dad had left 5 lakhs in a bank FD for her marriage and that along with interest it would come to around 8 lakhs now. They will not spend one paise more than that as she wanted her savings for her son...not only this, Ravi and Mansi were not willing to share anything for Mehak's marriage at that time...they all used to fight among themselves when it was about Mehak's marriage (except for PD) and thought that she was a burden to their family, and precisely that was the time Mehak sought KK as her online friend as her family was very indifferent to her ...you will also remember how Ravi chacha bought a car without anyone's knowledge in the family...

I think they all changed only after Mehak's ISC fame, didn't her chachas use Mehak's name for the publicity of their Saree shops which landed them in jail (that SK used this opportunity to his favour is a different thing!). In what way were they different from Shaurya who used Monal wedding for WC's publicity...? Mehak became the centre of their universe only after her ISC fame (thanks once again to Shauyra!) It has been always Shaurya who has brought excitement in Mehak's life. (btw - I am not undermining Mehak's talent and skills at all). And it is only PD who has been consistent in showering her love and affection on Mehak right from the start, similarly it is she who supported MehRya both before as well as now...
