That we all love Shahid Kapoor is too clichd but boy, here is Mira Rajput, who is facing the camera like a pro and giving interviews like she has been in the business ever since. Don't believe us, read what she has to say before you place your bets. We officially love your wifey, Mr. Kapoor!
After Shahid and Mira became parents to the adorable Misha, the shutterbugs have had a good time. Why? Because the otherwise anti-social Shahid has been stepping out with his wife, hand-in-hand, and we've had a good time capturing Mira. From social events to award shows, we have spotted Mira but recently, when Mira was spotted at an event, she surprised us with her abundance of confidence. Read on!
On account of International Women's Day, Mira was quoted as saying, "Don't be afraid to be yourself. You want to be a mother, you want to be a working woman, you want to be a college student, you want to study your whole life, do what you want." Agreed!
But that was not it as Mira, vehemently, bashed all the people who troll actors on social media for their outfits and said, "I think it's very immature, it's about time we accept that the world is made of two halves, men and women, and we must learn to respect each other and to be proud and happy for one another."
But agreeing that it is motherhood which is the most special feeling in the world, Mira commented, "Motherhood is a very personal journey and it depends on what you would like to do. Mujhe aisa acha laga ki mein time leyo, mein apne aap ko andar se, you know I am healthy from inside and there was no hurry for me to be out and I took care of myself and I am much happier today because I took time for myself and I took time to spend with my child in those initially few months."
As opposed to other mothers who rush off to work soon after giving birth, Mira has a different point of view. She says, "I do and I love it. I had a tough pregnancy and I would not want to spend, I mean I went through those five months of a difficult time to bring my daughter into this world, both of us together. So, now I want to spend every moment that I can with her and I think that I am...there is a set of responsibilities that are on my plate and I feel that at my age, I have a lot more energy, I have a lot more ... I have my future ahead of me so I can finish all of my responsibilities and then I have nothing in my way. You know I can raise my daughter, I can be a good wife, I can set my house the way I like, not in terms of the way things should be but the way a home must be within its values and ideals. So, nothing will stop me after that but I love being at home, I love being a mother to my child, I wouldn't have it any other way," adding, "I wouldn't want to spend one hour a day with my child and rush off to work. Why did I have her? She is not a puppy, you know. I want to be there for her as a mother, seeing her grow up has, cannot be quantified."
