Room decor at Shimla Resort OR shall I say CAGED AT SHIMLA !!

Did you all notice, the presence of decorated bird cages in the room?? I know in western countries they use decorated bird cages at weddings but that is primarily for dropping cards / checks meant for the couple who are getting married.

But here I feel its symbolic...a bird cage is a symbol of oppressiveness. A bird stands for freedom related to anything that has life...and cage would stand for denial /prohibition of that freedom with no escape.

When you see bird and cage separately one threatens the other...ofcourse the cage threatens the bird...

Now coming to the show this vacation is a forced one...its like a confinement brought on by a way of belief ...that can be imposed on the other ... in some way her love for Dev and Dev's love for her is kind of making her caged too ( because of this love she is not able to say no to things that she doesn't believe in ) ...here Sona is the bird getting confined ...to a place because of his mother's pressure and his silence abt the topic ...she is the one who has lost the freedom ...even though, like the cage this place is highly decorated and beautiful...and husbands love... she is not able to enjoy because her basic freedom to choose how to live her life is taken away !! This also bring in a thought when a person's basic freedom is taken away wouldnt it be a threat to the existence itself??

What needs to be seen is, after this Shimla episode will she break the cage and fly away...from the oppression of Dev and his mother ...no matter how decorated /beautiful the cage is ...and no matter how much Dev loves her??

I could be wrong ...your thoughts my friends??

PS : A lot of you felt Dev is also caged because his mom is not allowing him to live a life he wants to live ...agreed on that ...

So now the question is when the cage is broken...will Dev and Sona be flying together or will they fly separate ways ?? well we will need to wait and watch ...

Thats a really interesting analysis! 👏 I agree with you that Sonakshi has been cornered and caged. Despite her outburst to Dev she knows that there isnt really a way out of this trip.

Actually I feel both Dev and Sonakshi is caged by Ishwari

Dev as her son one that can not deny his mother while Sonakshi the wife cannot deny her husband

both know at the back of their minds that Ishwari wants results

I'm only waiting for the day that Dev realizes his mother expects too much from him

he is also caged n d worst part is he does nt realise ot even ...
frm last few daz we know dev exactly knows dat his mother has not acceoted his wife ...n hence all d assurance he kept on giving to ishwari which irritated us but wat he does nt understand is dat his mom does nt need assurance she knows dev ll never leave her ...shez scared of sona's goodness n dat is nt sth u can address wid assurances ...ishwari needs a jolt ...n frm wat i think is she ll get it soon
in shimla wid ishwari's interference dev was equally irritated ..its just dat sona voiced it out to dev n dev chose to wrap it under covers of maa jo kar rhi h hamare liye h ...
n now wid dev slapping bijoy n apparantly leaving dixit house i wud like to see for how long dev can hold on to his patience under d wraps of sab theek h
