First of all , this is not a hate thread or anything . I am personally happy seeing her growth from a nonactor to an actor . She has quite a few hits in her kitty too . But none of her performance so far made me say , WOW . None of her films were on her shoulder . She has equal role may be .Yet she is the most popular heroine of this gen . She is the most overrated actress after Kajol according to me.

I am not a big fan of her acting , I watch DP movies not expecting world class acting , I watch her because she is a complete package after Madhuri . Did the critics ever overly praised her acting , I don't think so .
For me the most overrated actress is someone else , I cannot take her name in this thread as this thread is meant for Deepika 😆

For me NO ! Definitely not ! She has short comings. She tries to improve that..But she has some other things in abundance which other actresses do not have called screen presence, beauty, ability to connect with masses..If 'acting' was the 'only' measuring criteria for being the most popular star then neither Madhuri Dixit or Amitabh Bacchan would have become the greatest stars of all time of India.

Dipla is the total package... Acting, looks, charisma, onscreen persona, fitness... She is everything that an actress should be... No wonder we have so many BW heroines competing with her...

Arts movie ke liye we have plenty of actresses... Swara Bhaskar, Huma, Nimrat... They have the looks as well as acting chops...

I mostly don't like her offscreen personality. But onscreen ... i'll watch 9 out of 10 of her films. She is good. And she has this whole "star" aura.

I liked how you put it. DP is not a standout actress or a dancer or has this amazing body like katrina. But somehow everything comes together and she is very very watchable. Complete package like you said. She always makes me feel for the character she is playing and so as an actor, she is doing her job well.
