Must Dev tell everything to Ishwari?

I don't understand Ishwari's character? Why is she so adamant or egoistic about Dev telling her every single thing that happens in his life? Does he tell her his office problems, no right. When Dev asked her about Natasha, she said he should decide, so Dev has the confident that his mother has given the right to make his own decision and she being supportive about it. So when he realised he is in love with Sona, of course he wouldn't run like a child to his mother and tell he is in love with a girl. When Neha fell in love with Ranveer, even she didn't tell to Ishwari. Initial stage of being in r/ship or love, people tend to hide from everyone, as they are discovering and enjoying the feeling with each other. And same goes to Dev, he is not hiding it from his mother, he will tell her when the r/ship is stable, and when he wants to take the next step. Dev is a normal guy, who is in love and wants to enjoy this phase of his life with his girlfriend, people change according to times, and so have Dev. His mother will always be his priority, but now he has new priority as well.why should Ishwari feel bad, its his son, and he is happy, is that her problem, that his happiness has to be with her and no one else.

I agree! Dev is mature and in his mid-twenties. Everyone falls in love all the time. Idk why Ishwari is making such a big deal out of it 😆

Completely Agree.

this is what is difficult to understand. Her character is flawed and she has her weaknesses but portraying her like this is something difficult to digest. Such people need psychiatric treatment.

Dev is an adult and does not need to tell her everything, infact nothing. If he does so, it is only because he loves and adores here. It should stop there but taking it to an extreme where she expects it is something that cannot be digested

Worse, see the way she is shown to be carried away by GKB - who talks as if Dev is a little kid who will go astray - come one.. The guy has built an empire due to his own hard work, sweat and blood, his own decisions, and he cannot take his own decisions when it comes to matters of his own life? Very difficult to digest and the only thing that seems unreal in KRPKAB

You are right , there is no need for him to tell his mom, till he is sure of how he wants to take his relationship. Children hide things from their parents due to many reasons . In our Dev babu's case, I think its because this thing is so very personal to him. He doesn't want anyone to spoil the beauty of what he is feeling now or tamper with it ...he loves it the way it is😊.

For him Sonakshi is not just a woman whom he loves but she is more of a possession , something he owns for himself and don't want to share. ( few of his dialogues - Tumse pahele aj thak meine apne liye koyi "cheez"chaha hi nahi. I need you for myself. Then when he gifts her the Saree he says Mera ap se pyar karna , Apka mujse pyar karna, yeh meri Zindagi ki sabse imp Cheez hain , sabse khoobsurat cheez hain... Zindagi me pehli bar aisa lag raha hain ki koyi mera apna hain..jise me pasakta hoom, mang sakta hoom , hak se.. ) The initial promos did give a hint of him trying to justify why he initiated the break up...but you also get to see , he is not willing to let go and wants to be connected.

We should also not forget what he told Natasha "Koyi cheez pasandh aye tho use pane ke liya kuch bhi kar saktha hoom."

His mom doesnt know this character of his ..I mean on the personal front.

Now I wondering how our CV team will do justice to Dev babu's character and help him stand true to his dialogues/words😉 . Which Shade of his character will dominate - will it be the one Sonakshi knows OR will it be the one that his mother knows...??😲

Now ppl get back to work...weekend done ...Happy Monday !!😉😆

I know rite. I don't think any mother would feel betrayed if his son wants to marry a girl who he loves. Neha also did the same thing, she hid he feelings from her family like dev but ishwariji is so happy with that then why can't dev do the same thing? Very annoying

I have been thinking too...

We should put ourselves in her shoes ..such has been their relationship...
I don't think she has a problem with Sona...its the joy of Dev sharing with her everything that happens in his life...its the feeling that you are the most important person in his life...its the feeling that come what may you will know about things first..and that too from Dev himself...

I as a mother for that matter would want my children to share everything that happens in their life with me...
But I also understand in such matters expecting that discipline is asking too much...

Ishwari's character is not a straight forward one to relate to anyone.

Its a matter of intense-belief (real or imaginary) vs. actual reality. When someone's belief breaks they get hurt badly to the core but when the reality changes people try understand n adapt to the change occurred. Ishwari had been living in the belief of Dev sharing everything with her till date. Which offcourse has never been the reality. But she doesn't know that.

Dev has been made to believe (by Ishwari time n again) that he has to always think about his mother n sisters needs n do everything n anything to make them happy since childhood. He as a individual never existed is Ishwari's world. He was made into the instrument (knowingly or unknowingly) of Ishwari getting rid of her poverty n bring in comfort to the family materistically. Even for a grown-up Dev she made sure to make a point in front of others that Dev has to think about his sisters and thus has no time to think of his own life to RR n to others.

She had a hard time to raise her kids. But in the process she forgot to treat her kids especially Dev n Neha as human's with emotions. She either has given so much love to Dev that he feels indebted to her or has completely deprived Neha of any love to make her an absolute bitter person.

Ishwari's trust or more to say her belief of Dev sharing everything with her is what's going to hurt her. It's Not Dev's fault here. He was never taught to share his inner feelings with anyone, not to his mother nor with his siblings. He was only taught to value n earn money that would bring comfort. Ishwari has said to Dev its time for him to think for himself. But in reality she has spoken empty words, believing it will never come to reality. Dev will always belong to her n not to anyone else not fully not partially.

Both are living in there own imaginary world n their worlds are gong to be shattered by the reality of Sona coming into their lives. Ishwari's beiief of Dev not telling her everything n Dev's belief that her mother won't support her every n all decisions of his life.
