Names are crucial to one's life. They affect everything in your life from your personality to success. I decided to look into the meanings of the names of the lead character's in TEI and then looked into some attributes philosophically attached to these names. The findings were very interesting...
Twinkle
Meaning: Sparkle, Peace, Happiness
Origin: Hindu
Kabalarian Philosophy:
- You desire change and varied experiences and you are capable in many areas, but you do not excel because of your scattering, impulsive desires.
- With supportive influence from other names you may use, you could be creative or artistic in a practical way, but basically this name is a plodding influence, though you have a desire for greater expression.
- As spontaneous verbal expression can be difficult for you, you often feel awkward and embarrassed in situations requiring tact and diplomacy.
How apt this is for our dear, dear Twinkle from meaning to personality. The meaning of this name is "sparkle, peace, happiness". This fits well with the role that Twinkle has in other people's lives. From when I began to see this show, I noticed that she feels the need to solve everyone's problems, to bring them peace and happiness. A recent example would be trying to arrange Leela's marriage. Leela, herself, had not said a word to her yet Twinkle deduced that she needed to go ahead with this notion. This begins to correlate with the Kalabarian ideals where because while Twinkle is very capable of brings changes around her, she has very impulsive desires that come in the way. The second ideal states that supportive influences from other games can bring practicality. Another name Twinkle is addressed with is Siyappa Queen which was given to her by Kunj. And what does Kunj do for her? He brings his calm headedness, maturity and practicality to the situation. The last ideal states that Twinkle's may feel awkward or embarrassed in situations that require tact and diplomacy. This just reminds me of situations with Kunj and Mahi and even RT. Twinkle seems to be unable to express herself in a non-panicked, logical way. The "sparkle" portion of the name's meaning also draws to mind Twinkle's larger than life personality. I recall that episode when she came home from the Miss. Amritsar contest and celebrated Chinki's engagement in a grand manner. Even for her mother, Twinkle was the apple of her eye who brought her genuine joy or sparkle to her life.
Kunj
Meaning: Trees and creepers over grown
Origin: Hindu
Kabalarian Philosophy:
- You will do anything to avoid friction among others.
- Spontaneous, happy-go-lucky, and expressive yourself, you like to see people happy and go out of your way to create harmony amongst them.
Kunj is an unisex name. It took me FOREVER to find the male meaning. The meaning includes "tree". When I think of tree, I think of stability and ground roots. I believe that is the role he serves in the lives of those around him. For Twinkle, he is able to calm her down, he is always there for her, he ground her, like a tree. He does the same with Leela and his mother. The Philosophy comes in because Kunj is rather non-aggressive hence he avoids friction. If you think of his interactions with Yuvraaj, he has never provoked and when he has it was for severe reasons. The latter portion fits his personality as he is usually very happy, jokey, and while he may not always be expressive, when he is, it's beautiful. The second part also supports Kunj's personality. So far, all he has done is for other people's harmony and happiness. For example, he tried to fix Twinkle and her Mom's relationship, Twinkle and her dad''s relationship, his and his mom's relationship.
Mahi
Meaning: World
Origin: Hindu
Kabalarian Philosophy:
- You have a great deal of patience and independence, and you can be relied upon to complete your undertakings.
- You are stable, trustworthy, homeloving, and logical in practical matters, but rather unresponsive to suggestions from others.
- This name does not give you great ambitions, vision, or imagination.
I hate her. But, she is a "lead" so might as well speak about her. Her name means world and I believe that portrays how she is viewed by her family and Yuvraaj (who call her jaan = life = world). Twinkle's world, right now, revolves around Mahi. She cares VERY much about her and constantly faces struggles to better Mahi's life. I find it interesting that people named Mahi are considered independent. But, it fits. Mahi, although having low self-esteem, anxiety, etc., made the decision to marry someone at such a young age by herself. The second ideal states that she is unresponsive to suggestions of other...soes that even have to be expalined? The last ideal just brings to mind her age. At her age, I would assume that she would be in school yet she has gotten herself married with no clear future goals.
Yuvraaj
Meaning: Prince
Origin: Hindu
Kabalarian Philosophy:
- The name of Yuvraaj creates a very aggressive and independent nature, one with big ambitions, giving you original, progressive, large-scale ideas, salesmanship and promotional ability as well as the excellent business judgment which enables you to gain the financial accumulation to which you feel entitled.
- You have a versatile, restless nature, and could do any job well, although you would not like to do menial tasks.
- You are seldom satisfied and are always seeking something new.
- You could organize the work of others, though in your impatience to see the job done efficiently, you would likely step right in and do it yourself.
How perfect is this. Yuvraaj means "Prince". Princes, typically, are portrayed rather arrogantly, people who think they deserve everything. Yuvraaj fits that role. His ideals say he is aggressive and independent with big ambitions and large-scale ideas. Yuvi's goal is to win back his ex married to someone else, talk about ambitions. Furthermore, his ideas for doing so are very extreme- acting like a five year old, kidnap, marrying her sister. The rest of the ideals for his actions too as he is rather violent and rough with those around him (Kunj, Twinkle and his own Mom). The last ideal reminds me of how the Mahi track may go. Yuvraaj is relying on her as her pawn but I feel like he will be frustrated at the lack of progress and step in to do things and reveal himself.
Hi guys. As per always, I would love to hear what you all think and I look forward to to it! I hope what I said in the post makes sense, I think it became a bit jumbled as I went on.
