My daughter in law got humiliated because of my sons. I won't blame Duryothan for Dice game.Yudhishtir is responsible for the loss of his kingdom. Why should he accept the invitation at all? "

Gandhari nodded." Yes. He gave a chance to my sons to insult them. And Draupadi? With whose consent he staked her? Did he ask Phalgun?"

Kunti diverted her from saying more. She knew how much she is fond of Arjun and Draupadi," When is Jyesht performing rites? Did he get the money for charity?

Gandhari proudly said." Phalgun offered whatever we want from his share.Kunti I envy you for such a son.He never treats us differently.I wish in my next birth I will get him as my son."

All the daughter in laws came to pay respects to Kunti and Gandhari. Krishna came and informed of his plan to leave for Dwaraka.Arjun complained." Mata he is adamant. He wants to leave.dont give permission to him"

Draupadi who is arranging Diyas in the chamber side glanced her husband. He is dull heis like a kid who doesn't want to part with his mother or brother.

Krishna convinced Kunti." Father is ill. He needs me there. Bua please try to understand.

Arjun said in his stubborn tone." I am also going."

Chitra frowned and turned to Kunti." If he goes I will go to Manipur.I should have left with Babhru."

Subhadra took her hand and said softly." Don't go. I am sure Bhrata won't take him now,"She turned to Krishna and questioned Isn't it Bhrata?

Krishna smiled and assured" Yes He won't come with me. He will come a little later."

Arjun stared at his friend and wondered why his words are sounding like prophecy or prediction?

What did he mean to say? Is he talking about their final journey?i

Chitrangada that night questioned Parth." Why are you so connected to your Madhav? Before him we all are nothing for you. Ofcourse your Krishnaa is an exception."

Arjun smiled and said." We are born to be together. As for Krishnaa she is my first wife. That's all.

Chitra pouted and said." Do you love me like you love her?"

Arjun laughed and gathered her in his arms.

Move over. I am here. Arjun got into Draupadi's couch past midnight. Panchali smiled and asked." Why did you continue this habit? Now we are grandparents. People will mock and laugh."

Arjun closed his eyes and hugged her waist." I don't care. As long as you don't have a problem I will visit you as usual. Tell me if you get disturbed."

Draupadi bit her lip and thought." I would like to get disturbed every minute by you my Arjun! But I won't tell you so."

Arjun smiled and promised." As you wish. Every minute I will disturb you. If not in person atleast by my thoughts."

Draupadi hid her face. As usual he understood her thoughts. Nothing is hidden . She lives in him he lives in her. Their eternal love saga continues

Krishna clarified." Ultimately we are destined to be together . There won't be any power that can separate us. Whenever evil spreads on earth we come and cleanse the earth . In every yuga it happens. This yuga Dwapar mainly needed us to descend together because too many evil powers like Jarasanth,Kams Duryothan and others polluted the earth.

You know how agitated I was when you throw away the Gandiv on the first day of Kuru kshetra ? The balance of the universe depended on your mental state. Thankfully you reconciled and everything fell in place.Now we are free of our responsibilities. The last phase requires us to deal with our individual duties.Our purpose is almost done Parth. Let us complete it and rejoice."

Arjun retorted ." Madhav I know you know everything. Despite being blessed with Gita I still get connected to our present bonding. To me our togetherness all these years spells the essence of my existence. I am not satisfied yet ,I want you to be with me as long as I live. But I know I am greedy.I am helpless. Still I will abide by what you say. I never disobeyed you in my lifetime. I won't do it even now. I promise."

Krishna smiled with glee and embraced him he artfully.

Govind, what am I supposed to do now that you are leaving? The thought itself strains me ,I understand you have to go but...

Panchali waited for his golden words. Krishna closed his eyes for a moment. Then he looked at her and said." I am grateful to you for standing up for all the good reasons. You suffered through out but you never compromised. You did the most impossible task of polyandry with so much dignity and self respect. Your love for Parth never became an obstacle in doing so.I am impressed. Krishnaa you reconciled with your fate and let Parth live his life as he wished.

At this point of time all three of us stand united having fulfilled our purposes and duties. Now time to relax and wait for the ultimate call. Live your life happily Krishnaa. Don't grieve over past. Spend quality time with your love. Enjoy heart fully you know with whom." Krishna winked mischievously and added." I won't be there to disturb you now."

Krishna left the next day in the early hours . Arjun accompanied him till two krosh.He stopped the chariot and gave the reigns to Daruka . He descended the chariot and still held Krishna's hand.Krishna has moisture in his eyes. He pressed his hand and ordered Daruka to take away the chariot.

Arjun stood stupefied waving his hand to his friend. Krishna went on gazing at his dearest Parth as long as he is visible. He then told Daruka." I left my soul with him. Only my physical entity is left now. Without Parth everything looks lifeless.

Yudhishtir asked with a look of surprise." Panchali is the head no'"

Bheem nodded his head." She did not look into the matters this time. She said she is exhausted and unable to handle all this."

Yudhishtir understood. He got up and told Arjun to go to Kunti." She is looking disturbed ever since Jyesht Pita and Jyesht maya decided to leave for the forest.I wish she will reveal her self before you."

Arjun observed his brother's desperation.He knew as the youngest son of Kunti he got the privilege of enjoying her pampered love. But he also knew Kunti never let him involved when crucial decisions are to be taken. She always took Yudhishtir into confidence to decide anything. Surprisingly she never consulted him when Panchali was destined to be shared by all five of them.She took the counsel of her Eldest son only.

Arjun came out of his thoughts as he stood before his aged mother looking in a pensive mood.

Kunti looked fragile and weak.Her hair still did not become completely white.Her face still bears the Royal charm and a trace of anxiety is seen on her brow.

Her eyes shone with affection on seeing her dearest Phalgun looking at her with concern.She stretched her hands and Arjun clasped her closer to his heart.He then made her sit on her couch and.he sat on the carpet and placed his head on her lap. Kunti ruffled his hair and taunted." You are a grandfather now. Still you like to be cradled by your mother? Phalgun grow up now."

Arjun shook his head " As long as I live I own your lap. Don't try to move away ever."

Kunti raised his head and looked at him keenly. Her son is intelligent. Even without her saying anything he guessed her intentions." Phalgun life's truth you know it. Swayam Kanha enlightened you . My son you are the most fortunate person to drink the nectar of Gita. I am the most fortunate mother to beget you. I need not tell you about the stages of life.

Arjun said firmly." This is the stage when you should relax and enjoy the services of your sons and daughter in laws."

Kunti agreed " Yes my son. Elders should get served by younger ones.Jyesht and Gandhari Didi should get my services."

There was silence for five minutes.Arjun fixed his gaze on her strained face. He could very well understand her intention now.But certainly he would never let her struggle in forest at this age.

Dhritarashtr and Gandhari can go and live there.They now want to earn merit by penance. But his mother? All through her life she suffered. She is sick. She needs their love and care.

Arjun strictly declared." Who will let you go with them? If you insist I will stop Gandhari Maa from going. She will listen to me for sure.

Kunti laughed and tried to dilute the matter." I know it. You and Draupadi are her favourites. She always blamed me for deviding her." After saying her words Kunti understood what she had done. All these years she restricted herself from saying anything about polyandry. But her skip of tongue now gave her an option to either open herself before him or just avoid the issue for the final time. She knew after this day she will never have to say or admit anything before him.For,she is definitely going to leave Hastinapur along with Gandhari and Dhritarashtr.

Kunti approached him and tried to express herself." Phalgun..Phalgun..." She could not continue. Words refused to come out making her stand still,shivering with pain.

Arjun gathered her in his arms and said." I understand." He has moisture in his eyes. Kunti wept till she could pour out her heart to her Phalgun without words.

Arjun walked towards the dining hall where the night meals are getting served already. Yudhishtir raised his head and tried to guess the outcome of Arjun's meet with his mother. Bheem called aloud." Come and join us. Atleast at this age you should eat in time."

Sahadev noticed Arjun's serious ness. He called Panchali to attend on him.Subhadra brought Parikshit who is now running faster than wind. She gasped for breath and informed." He made me run from my chamber . I am not his mother but his grand mother only. How could I catch him ?"

Where is Uttara" Arjun asked. " I am here Pitasri" Uttara's sweet voice is heard from behind. I am learning kitchen work from Jyesht Mata and Pitasri Bheem.

Look after your son . Where is the need to learn?" Nakul advised.

Arjun smiled at Uttara and supported." Well done. Continue it. Perhaps you may need to look after everything by yourself. He caught hold of Pari and fed him sweets.

Panchali tried to understand his mind. She sensed the detachment that is traceable vividly.

Arjun closed his eyes. He is lying on the bench on the bank of the small pond in the Royal garden He saw the smiling face of his Madhav before him. " How could I send my mother to endure forest life? If you are there you would have convinced her." He complained.

Krishna laughed and taunted." Parth! Forgot Gita? I told you the importance of Karma. Do your duty for my sake. Leave everything for me. If Kunti Bua wants to live her last days in forest fulfill her wish."

Arjun pondered over his words. He still felt Kunti's tears on his heart touching the inner most layers. Suddenly he felt Panchali's hand on his forehead. He opened his eyes and found his wife anxiously looking into his eyes." What happened? Why do you look disturbed?"

Arjun stared at her beautiful face. Even at this age the beauty is intact. No trace of aging at all. This extraordinary beauty made Kunti fearful and utter those words.the unity of Pandavas is in danger,she thought. But are her son's that weak and selfish to let go of their unity for the sake of Draupadi?

Panchali touched his curls and repeated her question. Arjun did not want to disturb her by revealing his trauma. He knew Kunti will never expose herself before his wife. Then why should he disturb her unnecessarily? Arjun pulled her on to his heart and whispered." Nothing serious. I miss Madhav that's all. But now that you came I will get over my feeling. " he caressed her beautiful eyes and did not let her question again.

Kunti herself felt shattered on seeing the sadness that enveloped their faces. But she could not help it. At this stage she has to renounce her worldly attachments and strive hard to attain salvation

Panchali vaguely knew what is going on in royal palace. She kept away since she felt mother and sons will solve their problem. Yudhishtir asked her to persuade Kunti from leaving them.Panchali looked at him straight and refused." If Mata did not agree for the sake of her sons how could she get convinced by me? I believe she has a right to decide what is good for her."

Arjun did not ask her to involve as he knew Kunti will not waver from her decision. But he felt his mother should get rid of her burden by exposing her heart before Panchali.Before entering the final stage of life Kunti needs to wipe off her burden.But will his fire born cooperate? He got tensed up.

Ulupi and Chitra got accustomed to Hastinapur routine. They finally got to spend quality time with Arjun much to their satisfaction.As usual they became friends with Subhadra but maintained cordial relationship with Panchali.Chitra could not suppress her wonder on seeing Panchali's ever fresh beauty. She sulked before Ulupi." When she is still as ravishing as ever how could he not submit himself before her? Situation is same like it is sixteen years back." Ulupi laughed and admonished." Chitra. If Babhru gets married we become in laws. You are behaving like a newly wed Chitra.Arya Arjun is equally concerned about us if not more. Stop sulking over her beauty. She is fire born."

Chitra literally crossed Arjun over the same thing. When she was alone with him she questioned." Do you love me like you love your Panchali? " Arjun laughed at her insecurity." Ofcourse I do.Why do you doubt me? Whomever I married I loved with my whole heart. But sadly you always doubted me."

Chitra felt bad on seeing his face that mirrored his honesty and love.She immediately said sorry." Please don't take it to heart. My love for you made me say so." Arjun smiled and retorted." I hope you will genuinely feel my love Chitra. Let us spend good times together." Chitra never again broached the topic. She understood his heart and enjoyed the togetherness.

The moment Arjun very much waited arrived at last. One evening Kunti called Panchali and revealed her decision to accompany Gandhari. Panchali looked at her and said in a soft voice." Mata I lost my children. But you are blessed to be with your sons in your old age.They lived away from you most of the time.If possible think over again."
