Very interesting.. I am not sure about the many trophies won by the Kapoor sisters.. Kapoor Sr for Zubeida maybe and Jr Kapoor maybe for Chameli and JWM but other than that cant really think of that many award worthy performances!

The "Special Award" is a complete farce. It is nothing other than a consolation prize. It's the most embarrassing part of Filmfare Awards.

After winning the debut award and coming with infamous quotes about "I will win Best Actress awards for my upcoming films with Sooraj Barjatya, Subhash Ghai, Yash Chopra, SLB" Kareena Kapoor was left sour faced when 3 years later her dreams were shattered, it was then when her good friend and editor of Filmfare Jitesh Pillai stepped in and gave his bestie a "Special Award" for her performance in Chameli. Funnily enough she wasn't even nominated in the Best Actress category that year.

Probably one of the weirdest recipients of the "Speical Award" is Rajesh Khanna in 1973. He won it for his Guest Appearance in Anuraag.

Govinda got a consolation in 1997 after completing 10 years in the industry and although his popularity not winning any competitive award he was given the "Special Award".
