True.

And I have witnessed some daughter in law being creepy.

They think once they are married he no longer is son / brother etc.

Oh Nisha I have heard of it...
One of my female colleague's MIL doesn't give privacy to her son and DIL... They can never watch a movie or have lunch themselves in the weekend.. She always accompany them.. 😡... But whereas FIL never..

My friend jokes with me saying if we said yes she would have joined us for honeymoon in Mauritius 🤣

I have also witnessed this one also. One of my best friend's SIL not welome them in their home where they are born brought up... She behaves like she owns that home... And she is a doctor.. Should we agree education teaches manners or not?

There can be creepy SIL, MIL n DIL 😡

Dristi: what a deep question, I am not religious, agnostic at best I think, bordering on atheism some days... so my answers might seem too cynical to you so I apologize😭

To live without attachment and possessiveness
Sigh!!!

Wish it were possible

I am told the Bhagwad Gita is all about how to shed attachments
Easier said than done I say

Ranjan is not actually detached, he is probably the most attached of all, he has to wear the garb of being detached to protect himself. He knows his son no longer cares for him, he realizes his daughter in law doesnt know "anybody's" version of truth, he knows seeing him hurting will hurt Samyukta. He sees Manya unhappy right in front of his eyes
Under all the above how can he appear vulnerable and clingy

As for answering the broader question of how anyone can be that way

I think people that claim to be that way are usually faking it

You can do it IF u abandon worldly life and "go off the grid"
Its practically impossible to stay within the confines of society and family and teach and read and spout the Gita and act like  you are "Lord Krishna"

Coz even He mocks those that live a worldly life and says... "do what the situation demands

He tells of Arjuna "PICK UP THOSE GODDAMN weapons, its a war, you HAVE TO fight your brothers"

"Giving it all up" is impossible to achieve in human life

Even if u go hide in the woods you would wonder what your grand kids look like now, and if ur wife is alive and wish to see her or them ONCE.
Its a different story  I assume if u abandon worldly life at 8 or 10 years of age and live in the woods I think

By creepy Pritee I meant MILs that are "interested" in their sons
For whatever reason or reasons... they are "jealous" of their DILs

Its criminal and sick but I have heard such women exist

Ya I know someone who don't like her SIL taking care of her brother when she visits like asking him why he will eat or pushing him to bath or these silly things which every sibling do... She use to dislike it so after sometime SIL stopped acting that way !!!! 😡
Seeing there's no other way.

Nisha
Shouldn't we blame men also for this... Why can't they strike right balance between mother n wife...
