over the last few years, as bw movie lover.. I have been disappointed with the movies that YRF is releasing.. it seems like they are using the big brand name that YRF is to sell the movies rather than focusing on the story and script.. as result here is the list of the movies that YRF has produced in the last few years..
bewakoofiyaan 1/5
Gunday 2/5
D3 2/5 .. The worst Aamir khan movie for me..
Shuddh Desi Romance 1/5
Aurangzeb 2/5.. Rishi kapoor was great..
JTHJ... possibilly the worst SRK movie..
Ek Tha Tigar 3/5
ladies vs Ricky Bahl 1/5.. copied from john tucker must die.
It seems like, they are putting the YRF tag on these movies and don't care about the story and script...I had the choice of watching Mardani last week but I picked Singham return.. and I won't watch it despite good reports...LETS do the right thing and lets ALL BOYCOTT YRF.

Nope...don't count me in...I loved the 4 movies in red...4 out of 8 is good enough for me...can't expect them to produce a gem every time😛

I wont disagree that YRF have been churning out some bad movies...

But watching movies of any PH or infact ANY movie is an individual choice.. U cant ask someone NOT to watch YRF movies just because they given BAD movies..

Every PH have good/bad films.. YRF have als given good movies...

If u want to boycott YRF, great... Don watch their movies(even if you fav actor stars in it)... Im not stopping you...

That's fine I'm already boycotting all three of the Khan's films... I'll try to boycott all YRF Films too since I also think they've been really bad lately 😆

That is the difference between me and some of you guys here.. I don't watch movies because my favorite actors or actresses are in the movie. I think Aamir khan is the only actor whose movies i would watch without even seeing the trailer or reading any reviews.. I will watch any Aamir khan movie.. he is one of my favorite.. simply because before D3.. it was guaranteed that his movies will be worth watching.. He didn't disappoint me before.. until he worked with YRF... I blame YRF for D3... not Aamir or any other cast in D3..
I like most of the current actors and actresses.. I just don't watch all of their movies. I only watch movies that are critically acclaimed and it has a decent story and script.. to put it in other words.. it is the story and the script that makes me want to watch a movie.. not who is in it..
I totally understand that most of you would watch movie that has your favorite cast...we have to look beyond that at some point if we want to watch quality movies..
but I expected a PH like YRF to focus more in to that aspect rather than just put a star in the movie..but it seems like I am asking for way too much anyways..

I don't share the same sentiments.
Other than JTHJ, D3, Ek tha tiger, rest all movies were good enough for me.

Bewakoofiyan and Aurangzeb were really nice movies with very good stories and worth watching.
The rest like LVRB, Gunday, SDR were also a good time pass.
And Mardaani has good great reviews, so I will watch it.

Agar dekhna hai to dekho. Nahi toh, you have a choice of not watching these movies.

I actually liked EK THA TIGER, Dhoom-3 and Aurangzeb. Also, Mardaani is a great movie. Rani's performance was spectacular, you should watch it. 😃

YRF is collaborating with some really good directors and PH's now- Dibakar Banerjee for three films, for instance. They plan to make a franchise out of the Byomkesh Bakshi stories, and they co-produced Titli with Dibakar which was heavily appreciated at Cannes this year. Plus there's Paani with Shekhar Kapur. Not to forget, Shimit Amin will also be making a film with them soon. Plus Fan with SRK also sounds good. Hopefully we'll get good stuff in the coming days!

Im posting this with much thought and sadness, but most of u guys already know I have made this decision long back... Zaara's Artistry Planet will be closing down w.e.f now... There are many many reasons behind this, and one of the many is Im leaving IF... Im really sorry guys if I have disappointed anyone... And all I wanna say is, I cant thank u guys enough for all the support and love.. Its a short stint but I completely enjoyed making updates for my shop.. Leaving IF and closing my shop doesnt mean Im stopping my editing, ofcourse Im continuing, however I don think Ill be able to share it as I'll be taking FB and Twitter as well.. I'll probably keep my tumblr blog, though I'm not so sure since I haven made any decision regarding that... To all the dearest friends I have made here, esp recently the chota sa group from BW forum and AS(Q&A thread) forum, thank u guys for always encouraging my work and motivating me to open the shop and supporting my work here.. I'll miss u guys alot!!
