Dkdm cvs too distorted actual stories cant only blame MB cvs

DKDM too show wrong parvati amnesia and kidnapped by jalandhar nothing like that happened ,and when ganesh was at cave entrance he said pitaji u cant go inside but actually doesnot know shiv is his father
someone wrote-Parvati as Durga was the ONLY one who killed Durgam-why make Mahadev play a part in killing him?

Kartikeya killed Tarkasur on his own-why have Mahadev help him?

They made Mahadev look like a Victim in the Vinayak story when the truth is that Mahadev killed Vinayak in a fit of anger!

Similarly Ramaayan is Ram Leela-Vishnu was born with Human restrictions,yet he over came them to defeat Raavan-THAT is the greatness of the story,why involve Mahadev?

^that is the problem i have with what i am doing-certian level of distortion is OK,even i didnt mind it..but why mess up a story,take credit from someone and give it to someone else when they arent even involved?

nobody has much knowledge shivpurans
but mb is not like that
mb is thought and read every kid in india
u can not distort somerhing that is too well known
people will react
and this is mb forum not dkdmd forum
we react we blame cvs becoz they distrot something close to heart
there happens that doest mean that will happen here too

We are not allowed to compare shows- so most probably this thread will be locked. but i would like to add my two cents - before Minakshi pounces on us with her moderator lock.

It is indeed true that DKDM too took a lot of liberties with well known stories. Especially Kartikeya got a raw deal from the CVs. I have vented my frustration there too.

Yet despite all the bloopers, the liberties and the distortions, there still is an inherent spirituality about that show. Once in a while there comes an episode which takes you to a different level all together. Like yesterday's episode when Shiva explained the difference b/w Swarg and Narak.

The characterization too, is authentic. I know many people have cribbed about showing Parvati weak / inferior to shiva- but that's how she is portrayed in the Shiva Puranas.

Parvati's amnesia may be indigestible - but the reason was to show the Ashtanga Yoga / role of a Guru and IMHO, it was one of the best tracks of DKDM.

Coming to MB- it's not just the distortion of facts which is irking the viewers. The way the characters are being portrayed is unbelievable. Rude children, loud mouthed wives, something about the whole serial doesn't seem right.

The CVs don't seem to have an iota of idea how family members behaved with one another in those times.

Arjuna walking at the head of Pandavas in plainly, wrong. One has just to flip the pages of the MB to see how much respect he had for his eldest brother and how much he submitted to his judgement.

Or Madri talking back to Kunti- the elder queen. Or Ashwathama answering rudely to his father.

Such instances make us lose the feel that we are watching an epic from a bygone era. It seems the CVs are thrusting modern ideologues in an ancient society.

if the distortion of facts and characters portrayal which is irking the viewers then why are they watching and why are the TVT increasing every week.

we watch becoz it is still our mahabartha
with or without distorions
but that doesnt mean cvs can take viewers as granted

I agree with you. Other mythological shows have distortions too, but the reason DKDM is so popular despite such wide distortions is that not many people are aware of Shiva Puraan, so they accept what is shown. But people are aware of Ramayan and Mahabharat, so when distortions happen in those stories, people cannot accept it.

I know it doesn't make distortions in DKDM right, but that's the reason people don't crib about distortions in that show.

Anyway, I don't think it's allowed to compare two shows, so it's better you open this topic in DKDM forum.

But Janaki, I feel the DKDM Cvs are quick learners. Once they understood that the Ramayan track was not being well received, they quickly wrapped it up- even though it was originally slated for six months.

But as I said in my earlier post, despite all the distortions, there is a feel good factor about DKDM. MB is leaving us more confused.

Someone should voice out that while some distortion is okay, showing such ridiculous stories like yesterday's and today's episodes is unacceptable.

today i tweet about it & some1 tries to counteract me as the person loves it 😆

I think we should open a page in FB/twitter & send message about this matter.
