Divyenndu, Pulkit Samrat return home after sister’s assault in Glory trailer, murder unfolds

The trailer for Glory is finally out, and it wastes no time setting the tone. This is not a feel good sports story. It leans into rage, broken relationships and the kind of ambition that eats people from the inside. Set in the intense world of competitive boxing, the series mixes family drama with a layered murder mystery that keeps tightening its grip.

Created by Karan Anshuman and Karmanya Ahuja, the show places its characters in a space where every fight carries emotional weight. The story builds around a family that is forced back together by tragedy, even as old wounds refuse to heal.

A Family Pulled Back Into The Fire

At the center of the story is Raghubir Singh, played by Suvinder Vicky, a driven boxing coach obsessed with Olympic glory. His dream has shaped his family, but not in the way he imagined. His sons Dev and Ravi, portrayed by Divyenndu and Pulkit Samrat, return home to Shaktigarh after years away.

What brings them back is not nostalgia but violence. Their sister Gudiya, played by Jannat Zubair, has been brutally attacked. Around the same time, a rising boxing talent, Nihal Singh, turns up dead under suspicious circumstances. The two events begin to overlap in ways that feel anything but coincidental.

Boxing As More Than Sport

The series uses boxing as more than a backdrop. It becomes a language for everything the characters cannot say out loud. Anger, guilt, grief and even love play out through punches and training sessions. The ring is not just a place to win or lose. It becomes a space where identities are shaped and broken.

This approach gives the narrative a raw edge. The physicality of the sport mirrors the emotional violence within the family. Every training montage feels loaded with meaning, not just preparation.

A World Full Of Hidden Motives

Beyond the Singh family, Glory opens up a network of characters who all seem to be playing their own game. Sikandar Kher steps in as Kookie Gulati, a figure who casts a long shadow over the town. Ashutosh Rana brings intensity to Viju Sanghwan, who fuels the competitive rivalry in the boxing circuit.

Meanwhile, Sayani Gupta plays Joyna, a character digging into the truth behind Nihal’s death. Her investigation slowly reveals links that connect personal grudges with larger ambitions. Kashmira Pardeshi appears as Bharti, someone who seems unpredictable and central to the unfolding drama.

Each character carries secrets, and the show appears to thrive on how these secrets collide.

A Launch That Blurred Reality

To promote the series, Netflix staged a live boxing face off featuring Pulkit Samrat and professional boxer Neeraj Goyat. It was a clever move that pulled the audience into the show’s world before its release.

The idea was simple but effective. Instead of just dropping a trailer, the platform created a moment that felt real. It echoed the show’s core theme where fiction and reality often overlap.

What Sets Glory Apart

What stands out immediately is the tone. Glory does not romanticize ambition. It questions it. The pursuit of greatness, especially something as big as Olympic gold, is shown as something that can distort relationships and push people into morally grey territory.

The writing team, which includes Anshuman, Ahuja and Vaibhav Vishal, seems to focus on emotional complexity as much as suspense. The result is a story that moves between a family drama and a crime thriller without losing momentum.

With a strong ensemble that also includes Yashpal Sharma and Kunal Thakur, the series aims to balance character depth with plot twists. If the trailer is anything to go by, it promises a tense ride where every answer leads to another question.
