Uorfi Javed explodes at trolls over Patralekha’s post-pregnancy body: 'No pregnancy, no opinion'

Actor and social media personality Uorfi Javed has come out in strong support of Patralekha after the latter faced body shaming online following her recent public appearance. Uorfi reshared a video circulating on paparazzi pages and called out the comments targeting Patralekha’s post-pregnancy weight, terming the criticism insensitive and unacceptable.

In her post, Uorfi did not hold back. Reacting to remarks about Patralekha “looking different,” she wrote, “Oh my god! What is wrong with y’all? Basic human anatomy!! A woman has to gain weight for a healthy pregnancy.” She further added, “Let’s stop shaming woman for not looking skinny after giving birth. This is not acceptable.” Her note also highlighted the pressures of new motherhood, stating that Patralekha is dealing with post-partum responsibilities while facing constant scrutiny online.

Uorfi’s statement quickly drew attention, with many users backing her stance and calling for more sensitivity towards women’s bodies after childbirth. She also added a blunt line that read, “Bro no pregnancy, no opinion. stfu,” underlining her frustration with unsolicited commentary.

Meanwhile, Patralekha addressed the issue herself through her Instagram Stories, directly calling out “pap pages” for their remarks. She wrote, “Pap pages! What's happened to me!? is that I have just given birth!” Emphasising that her body changes are natural, she added, “Yes, I have gained the weight, which seems like an unnatural phenomenon to you all. I have not sat and eaten a mountain, I just delivered a baby and produced two films simultaneously which are not easy jobs.”

Patralekha, who is married to Rajkummar Rao, also urged people to show empathy. “If I could I would not be this way. But that's how my body has reacted to pregnancy. For God's sake please learn to be a little kind,” she wrote.

The couple welcomed their daughter, Parvati Paul Rao, on November 15 last year. On the work front, Patralekha recently turned producer with Toaster, released on April 15, while continuing her acting commitments.
