Akshay Kumar would have faced me if he had the guts-Anita Advani
Stuti Agarwal (BOMBAY TIMES; October 10, 2013)
Anita Advani, who claims to be the late Rajesh Khanna's live-in partner, and has filed a complaint of domestic violence against Dimple Kapadia and family, was recently evicted from reality show Bigg Boss. She talks about her grudge against Akshay Kumar, her plan to open an NGO for mistreated women and of having the guts to face anyone.
What are you missing now that you are out of the reality show?
I feel lonely... I am missing quite a few of my roommates like Tanishaa and Andy.
Not Armaan? He was close to you in the house.
I have known Armaan for long and trusted him. But now that I am out of the house, I've realised that he back-stabbed me. He said he would vote for me but didn't. That was very shocking.
What are your future plans?
I want to open an NGO for women like me who have been treated badly and cheated of their rights.
Is it true that Akshay Kumar avoided you when he came on the set during the launch?
Yes. He would have faced me if he had the guts. I'm ready to face him and the family anytime. Main sachchai ke raaste par chal rahi hoon. That's why I am tension free. Unke dil mein chor hai.
You seem to have a lot against him...
Of course. I have a lot against Dimple too. During Kakaji's last journey, Akshay pushed me out of the truck carrying the body. Sab kuch toh le liya hai, now you want to take that moment from me too? At least have some respect for a woman who has been with your father-in-law through thick and thin. How can you be so mean for the sake of money? You already have enough! I want my dues for being Kakaji's live-in partner for 20-25 years. They weren't there when needed. I did everything for him, and after they got him to sign the will, in logon ne to mere pair ke neeche se zameen khiska di. Their relationship was only for the money.
How was Rajeshji as a person?
He had mood swings, was very difficult. Sometimes he would be nice, at other times he would pick fights. He had a really bad temper and would throw things around. In those phases, he could kill you with his words.
Was your family okay with your decision to live in with him?
No, my family was against it. They did not even listen to Kakaji when he came to convince them. So I went against my family's will.
You also want Rajesh Khanna's house, Aashirwaad...
I don't want Aashirwaad for myself; I want it to be turned into a museum. I also have my stuff in the house, which I want back. Just because Kakaji couldn't marry me because of legal issues doesn't mean I don't get my rights. Privately, we were like husband and wife. Unhone mujhe kada pehnaya tha aur main unke liye Karwa Chauth ka vrat rakhti thi.
You have filed a complaint of domestic violence against Dimple and family. But last heard you were also ready for an out-of-court settlement...
Yes, I've had some meetings with their lawyers but haven't reached a conclusion yet. If I get a decent settlement of my rights, why would I drag the case to court?
