Yes Shiv had his ethics, determination,  logics and brains in place. He was neither selfish nor foolish. He was a very balanced person at most times and that is why he was well liked.

When Anandi is selfless, her selflessness leads to her taking foolish decisions, such as sitting on important information and letting things ruin / destruct.

When she is determined, she will jump the guns without assessing the situation which will still lead to destruction

She is either too slow or too abrupt. Not balanced at all.

Finally, all the mess that she has created will continue to stir up until someone else makes mistakes. And at that point, all blames will passed on to that person and Anandi will go scot free.

So yes instead of giving brains to Anandi and making her a strong balanced person, CVs will pitt her against unbelievable negative characters and glorify her.

This is honestly a frustration.

But then having said that, every other character evolves. Anandi remains in her square one only.

Well explained. Shiv's character is more of a realistic one, he did make mistakes but always accepted them and never escaped without apologising. That's why he is still considered as one of the strong characters BV. Same goes to Jagya. Whereas anandi is shown to be right in everything she does when actually it's not. She makes mistakes but they're swept under the carpet in the name of helping others and Mahanta. Her handling things vary from person to person like @Saba had pointed out in the discussion thread. That's where the frustration starts for many members.

yes yes only  if Anandi does something wrong cvs should be blamed   if cvs  don't give everything to Anandi ji and give something to others some people start criticizing  cvs then why cannot be cvs be blamed for other characters if they show them doing something nonsense  Why some people want us to be double standard that all other characters should be bashed , only  when it comes to Anandi and her by birth mahaan second pati dev then cvs should be blamed ?😛

Lols how much screen space Jagya and Ganga have ? Anandi and her kids hogging over their screen space in BH Even on JaGan wedding anniversary instead of giving focus to JaGan kids  Anandi and Nimboli's dance was given all the space ?

Thats true Shiv if made mistakes he accepted them and apologized for them too to the respective persons who were hurt by his acts This makes him much better than Anandi  Anandi hardly ever realized her mistakes ,  cvs if ever make her accept her mistakes then add her victim drama with it to cover her mistake , she carries so many double standards

People might not want to accept this but i do feel Shiv's presence in BV had overshadowed Anandi's presence and popularity! Anandi shines as long as other characters are dull! Her popularity diminishes the moment someone better than her comes in BV!
Personally i hold much more respect for characters like Jagya, Shiv, Mangala and Gauri than Anandi! These characters had their own faults but they were realistic and relatable! Even Shiv, with all his perfections, was more enjoyable than Anandi could ever be!
Jagya earned by respect because he learned from his mistakes and grew extremely well as an character! I find him the most well-sketched character of BV! He changed but also held essence of his character!
Gauri's early days in BV was well-written! Even her frustration towards Jagya-Anandi and her own past looked relatable! It's sad that they spoiled the character to glorify Anandi and could not even give her a good exit!
Mangala, despite being a villain, was brilliant! Her evil schemes reflected more motherly love than Anandi's search for her daughter and her plans to hide the truth from her. It was hard not to feel sorry for her!
@Misseha explained why Shiv, despite being perfect and larger-than-life character, was loved by the audience! That's one character who stole Anandi's limelight and had to pay with his death for doing so!

Shiv can be compared to anyone, least of all Mangala. It will be gross injustice to Shiv. We may be angry with anandi, but that does not make others gods and goddesses. The two character who overshadowed anandi are dadisa and Shiv.
They always do this. Did not Sanchi became arch villain to glorify Ganga in the eyes of Jagya?
Did not Shiv become indecisive due to anandi's influence and also during rasika's time?
Every character has its flaws.

How can Mangala's behaviour is justified even if we dont like anandi? If anandi is not Nimboli's mother and  someone else's daughter? Mangala started torturing Nimboli also. Is it brilliance? Then Akheraj is also exceptionally brilliant.
