• You played rugby in school. Did you ever think of making a career in sports or joining the army? My father was very encouraging when it came to sports. I trained myself in rugby at a local club in Delhi and this made me a fitness freak. I wish I could pursue a career in sports, but my family wasn't too keen. In fact, they approved of me getting into modelling only because it helped me earn some extra money • One instance where Delhi has an upper hand as compared to Mumbai? I think Delhi has a vibrant sports culture, which Mumbai lacks. There are a lot of open spaces, be it jogging tracks, basketball courts or football grounds. In Mumbai, there is barely any space to even take your dog for a walk. Further, the property rates in Mumbai are obscene. I have just moved into my apartment, and half the money I make goes in paying the rent! • Are you a spiritual person? Yes, I am. As an actor, it is something that brings me peace of mind and keeps me sane (laughs). I don't believe in idol worshipping, but in some higher power controlling the universe. I keep reading up on the philosophies of Tao, Zen and Osho. • If you could meet a famous person who is already dead, who would it be, and what is the one wish you will ask him to fulfill? Michael Jackson. He is the greatest performer to have ever walked the planet. I would ask him to teach me a few dance moves, and let me accompany him for one of his concerts. • Are you a party animal or you like your private space? I used to party a lot in Delhi. But in Mumbai, I don't have a lot of friends. So, I generally keep a low profile and have a limited social life. At times I invite a few close friends over. • Are you nervous around women or are you the ladies' man? I am the classic lover boy — a one-woman man. As for being nervous, that is for the women to tell! |
