P.S
I am not a musician in case you were wondering.
Just love any symphony orchestra version of "Carol of the Bells" and was listening to it right beore i read your update, and that's why the whole musical comment😆

Shoot, I just realized after posting, the comment almost as big as the update. Sab tumhari galti hain. Kyu likhti ho itna accha phir tum.😆

Lake Baikal? See, I learned something new today. If my words had its depth and clarity, yours had its majestic beauty. There's nothing I can say back to them - you've said it all. You're not a musician? You could have had me fooled. The two of you are no doubt good friends.
Don't you mean 'Kyun likhti ho itna chota chapter tum?' 😆

It was like I was sitting right there on the veranda floor beside Geet and watching the morning grey replace the midnight blue. Mesmerising I say, because it was the way you wrote it. But the view and the despair that painted the picture complete wouldn't let me call the view beautiful. Of course you described it beautifully! 😊

I understand what you mean. I've always been of the opinion that there's beauty in sadness. Perhaps even more so than beautiful things. Reading what you've written has made me wonder whether this is because of the feelings sad things evoke.

This one line told me again that foundation is the thing that we need to focus on and not the outlook.

I really like the way you've put that, M. Hats off to you 👏

Thank you, thank you and thank you again, Mayonnaise.

Yes, Reel. That story, that world will stay with me until my dying day.
Shika, am I an idiot? Why can't I remember you from the Reel days?
😳

It is strange isn't it, that the Nature which would look comforting and inviting when we are happy might look gloomy and intimidating when we are facing the demons of our minds. The whoosh of the wind, the chilliness of the breeze, could be disturbing and the silence frightening too. Isn't it?
I could almost feel the picture you painted before me, I can almost see Geet looking into the silent night, trying to fight with the feelings she was trying to run away from., I could see the turmoil she might be going through, I could see Anjuman listening to the young woman patiently.

Oy vey. There's nothing I can say to that. The tap of your keyboard, Shika, is a stroke of the most artistic of brushes. The nature of Nature depends on us, the way with Palin's clouds, we see what we feel.

"There was something comforting, she found, in confiding in someone who had no reason to be there for you."
Maybe. Sometimes you could tell your worst fears to random strangers than the persons who are close to you. Sometimes you wish the person you share with doesn't have the need to care for you. Sometimes you just need a sounding board to throw your inner thoughts at.

Exactly. Imagine venting your every thought to a stranger and then finding out that they actually have an opinion on it. Uh, no. You're not allowed to have opinions.

I think I still am not out of the hypnotic state you put me in Z. I need some time to come back.

Take your time. We're in no rush to have you back 😈

PS: I almost had a heart attack thinking it was Abhi, whose footsteps came closer to Geet. I was chanting "Not Abhi please". I don't like competition you see😆

Greedy girl 😆 I should have had Abhi instead just so we could see a green Shiku.

PPS: The other day I was wondering if there's any Gadha for Heer, and I wondered for a beat if it were Abhi for her. Oh man I sound desperate😆

You don't want a married Geet as competition for Abhi but you are happy to see him with a beautiful, snarky, statuesque dancer instead? 😆 Would you believe it if I said that Heer is gadha, ghodi and girl enough for herself?

EDIT ~~

New font, but any specific reason? 😕 I chose comic sans for my writing cuz I felt it suited my personality. Somewhat comic yet sad you know.

Since I am in a weird mood nowadays let me just say a few lines that seem to sum up my feelings about the update.

The piano is playing. And the ferocious intensity is conveyed through the high pitch and tenor.
The vibration from the old wicker flap knocking some sense into the birds flying overhead.
The said birds fly back from the horizon in an anticlockwise direction.

A wild flamingo is standing on one leg. Hoping, waiting for the last of the catch.
To enter up onto his pink beak. So he can just gulp it down and fly away.

Geet has just chanced upon the lake with the migrating flamingo.
Wondering how the bird can change his home every season?
How does the place where he fed and grew become alien for the next few months.

But Lord knows that the flamingo has to only return to his habitat.
Flamingo instinctively knows that the particular lake might be dry at the moment.
But cometh the rain it will be abound with catch once more.

She waves at the flamingo hoping he remembers her when he sees her next time.

A wild flamingo is standing on one leg.

There's something nightmarish about the thought.

The birds are flying in an anticlockwise direction. Further and further into the world of vivid, terrifying dreams. Something is happening. Something is wrong.

If the flamingo is bound by the circle of leaving and coming back, so is Geet. She will be here when the pink nightmare returns.

This weird mood you're in...I hope it's not the unenjoyable kind. In any case, it's pushing a lot of creativity out of you, I see.

P.S. The old font works at times but is too sad, too long, too droopy at others. I always liked the new one best but made a conscious decision against it at the start. It's a more inspiring font for me; I wrote an OS with it and it was just simply the better pen.

😆 And this is why people tell me I must not be attempting love stories. I am supposed to be suffering from misplaced sense of emotions. But unfortunately for my readers, nothing ever stops me.

Somehow I feel anticlockwise is not a bad direction. I can only draw a circle properly anticlockwise.

Wild flamingo is so beautiful. They stand on one leg because they are so agile.
Flamingo leaves and comes back because it is highly adaptable and sensitive too.
If you actually observe them they are very smart and alert beings.
I happen to think the Flamingo dance form is inspired by them(might be my own bull shit theory).

The update somehow reminded me of migration which is a survival mechanism.
But just like birds that come back home, people do too.
I meant for it to be a positive thing. But there you go it came out glum and weird. 😃 😳

You know, I don't think it did come out glum. I think you were my bakra cloud. I projected my thoughts onto you. The first time I read it, the last line made me feel hope and a quiet happiness. The second time - when I actually sat down to comment - I was in no mood for hope and happiness.
P.S. I'm sure your readers aren't complaining, Sheesh ji.

😆 You haven't spoken to my readers probably. They have only complaints to make.
More than happy to be your bakra cloud Zarin ji. 😳. Looking forward to some lightning strikes.
Isn't overinterpreting everything fun? Yeyy!

P.S. This one line did it for me... "It isn't what you build that matters, Geet. It is what you build it from that does.". 👏

EDITED

It feels like as the light is trying to peek out through the clouds, so is Geet's pain. I am not sure if it is nature or alcohol thats helping, but I an glad for it. She is fortunate that she has a set of listening ears who have the "wisdom of life". Sometimes thats what you need when you are losing direction in life. I get a feeling that (and I maybe completely wrong) Anjuman is a "what maybe" for Geet and that may help her figure out what she wants (if that makes sense).

Was it/ is it love? Hmm...personally, I don't really believe is love at "first sight". I think in a marriage, love and respect for each other should grow overtime and that is what should be used to "build", a block at a time 😊. Guess they are still at a stage of "Maan" and "Geet", marriage is a "HUM". Kuch zyada ho gaya na ? Well Zarin its all your fault!! Lovely update!!
