First things first!...A very big " HI" to all you ARSHIANS! ❤️ Friday's episode was truly unexpected, but it was gift for all of us indeed! I do not want to go into the debate of, " whether they consumated or not?" Because Monday's episode will do the job for us anyway!

So why did I make this post?
Firstly, I am a Srilankan and I watch South Indian movies and soaps ( Tamil). The main entertainment for all us Srilankans are - South Indian movies and Tamil serials. I know this will not be any surprise for anybody here, because there are Tamil fans of IPPKND - I am very well aware of that! But I am considered special! Why? ... I would have only watched one bolywood movie ever, before being introduced to Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon? and it was - ' Jab We met': I happen to watch that film because a tamil film was released approx a year ago, which was the remake of , ' Jab we met' ! It was called, ' Kanden Kadhalai' - I was deeply in love with the story line and wanted to watch the Hindi version of it, with subtitles!! 👍🏼

Other than that - I had no experience of watching anything in Hindi for a long - term!

My Journey to, ' Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon?'
I remember that day...It was last year November..when I was busy searching for a tamil song on youtube! For some strange reason; I could not find the right video and ended up by mistake clicking on the Diwali episode of, 'Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon?' That was it!...I was glued to my laptop! I could not take my eyes of ARSHI! I felt my heart telling me - " This is called love!" I became so obsessed with them that, I ended up spending a whole night searching for the episodes on their romance! Cheeky! - I know! I didn't and I couldn't sleep that night! My hunting began from that day onwards...to find the root of Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon? - To fully understand the storyline! It did take me a while to eventually, watch all the episodes prior to the Diwali episode..BUT I MADE IT! Believe it or not?..I watched all these episodes without any subtitles! Their actions spoke the words for me! I was only interested in their love ...NOTHING ELSE! I do not have Starplus so I never knew that they show the episodes with English Subtitles 🤔 - I am a fool right?

I began my hunt to properly understand the episodes and happen to discover , ' desitvbox' - Which written updates every episodes! I was satisfied with that and thanked god for enabling me, to understand the idea of every episodes! But then I was not satisfied anymore after...Discovering that IPKKND comes with subtitles 😲!!! 😵 I was like, " What the?" - LIKE ASR Then I happen to discover, ' Desirippers' - who update episodes with subtitles! Then I became filled with satisfaction! That did not last...I could not wait till getting over with the drama of Anjali! lool 😆

That was my discover to IPKKND! 😃 I am really HAPPY!

*******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
I am really happy that I discovered Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon?..Otherwise I would have been forced to the traumatic situation of having to watch meaningless Tamil serials! I might seem, ' sarcastic', but that is honestly how I feel! I was never a great fan of tamil serials, but I mum was and is! 😛 After watching, ' Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon' - It was like someone put a tight slap on my face! I have been watching tamil serials all my life, without any logic, story and literature! I am not degrading the Tamil industry! I do not have any ' hate' on the films ..but the Small screen industry is for the typical Tamilians! I honestly feel that the small screen should develop more! Not in the context that it should copy the hindi serials, but the directors of Tamil tv shows should grow some bulbs and realize that they are only covering the, aunties and elderly! I totally believe in the difference of the two industries, but it is just sad!

I just want to finish off by saluting each and every actors of Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon! And a bow for the director and writers of Iss Pyaar ko kya naam doon? A special thanks to Sanaya and Barun for making the characters of; Arnav and Khushi stay glued to our hearts! Annd!!...Last but not the least..Love you all IF members and writers! You never fail to entertain me! I am addicted to this forum...it is unbelievable! ❤️

Thank you for reading my post!!! 😃

Hey there!

I am a Tamil but originally from Karnataka living in Singapore! I know hindi(read, write, speak) as well! I also used to watch those useless tamil dramas but it doesn't give me happiness and joy that ipk gives me!

But I can't deny that these tamil serials are kinda realistic though, I mean they portray what happens in the normal life of the people in Tamil Nadu or basically indians, that's why they do not usually wear make up and look really realistic. However ever since I watched hindi dramas, I dropped the idea of watching tamil dramas as they are more for older people not like teeangers like us. My mom is still crazy about tamil dramas though!

After watching other hindi dramas for a year, I came across IPK and that's it, IPK was more than enough for me!

Nowadays, I feel that some of the tamil dramas are moving away from the cliched story lines. For example, pirivom santhipom and saravanan meenakshi, both from Vijay tv did and are doing a great job repsectively. After a long time, these stories are based on love stories not like that normal drams. Hope others change also.

Yep I totally agree with you!!!! 😃 I used to be a die hard fan of Thendral that airs on Suntv it was amazing to see the love between Thamizh and Thulasi! That serial was uniqe for only a short while then, became a typical TAMIL SERIAL! I am so angry with the director! I have stopped watching it! If you don't know what I am talking about ...The director of Thendral also directs Thirumathi Selvam! I have heard of ' pirivom santhipom' but we do not watch Vijay Tv! Its another saddening factor...we have been watching SUN TV all our lives! But I have got to agree on one thing though..Tamil cinemas is incomparable! No offense! It is realistic! I love tamil cinema! It just that I have this small problem with Small screen

Yeah I used to watch thendral for a month as it was nice with the slight love scenes that they had which others didn't. But it lost its charm soon and didn't watch! Thirumathi selvam is utter crap! Now in thendral, it is very very dramatic, just happy that Tamil is supporting her all the way!

Anyways all these happened before IPK! I watched pirivom santhipom because it was a supposed remake of a hindi serial called "Bidaai" Watching saravanan meenakshi(SM)- (you can watch it online)- nowadays because my parents are watching it! I was seriously irritated by it at first because as compared to IPK, they are nothing and I keep telling this to my parents but they are watching SM as it is unique and based on love story where love is sort of supported by the elder people, but got to agree that SM is kinda funny, that's why as when, when my mother watched it, I watch it too! But IPK is my breath, can't live without it!
