Tuesday's episode"Mujhey agar apni aakhri khwahish bataney ka mauqa miley ga tou jaanti ho mai kia kahoonga? Ke mai tumhey hamesha khush dekhna chahta hoon, issi tarha pyar mein muskaratey huey, bhaley hee woh pyar kisi ke liye bhi ho"Biggest and the most jarring thing that I found in yesterday's episode was this above. Mohan had typed out that letter, with what intent; we all had inkling to. He just got back to Juna Mohalla, full of hope of witnessing reciprocicity of his feelings in Megha, hence he sat down to put down his feelings for Megha. But where did all that last khwahish and his wishing to see Megha happy, one way or the other, with or without him, come to form a major content of his letter?? It beats me, isn't at all logical. Just to force the remarriage track into the show, they used Mohan's letter as a sacrificial pit, to fill with relevant or irrelevant content, doesn't matter. The significant bits, one of which I failed to understand but felt the moment held some importance. First was MIL, going all gaga over Mohan with"Abb tum paraye nahi rahe beta"
I think Mohan wanted to talk his heart out before proposing her for marriage & he was unsure of the fact that she has also started feeling something for him until he saw her during the dinner time at vyas house. We didn't hear the complete letter which seems quite long... so I can't elaborate much on that... but I guess Mohan laid bare all his fears about this unusual relationship.
As far as MIL is concerned she already sweetened a bit when Mohan tried to convince her in Temple where they met last time. Also giving Mohan Prasad, a clear enough sign of Mohan's inclusion into Megha's family. They shared God's blessings with him, symbolic of fate having something good in store for Mohan regarding Vyas family.
Good point.. but we also give prasad to our friends as well... still Mohan is included & related to the family now. What I didn't get was the "Mata devi ki chunari" or it was something like that. Is it a kind of God's blessing too?? Because Renu clearly thought it was coming her way but MIL instead gave it to Megha which left Renu fuming++Anyone, if possible, do enlighten me on that.
Yes Fari... this is considered as blessing of Mata ... very auspicious... so many people believe that it cannot be given to widowed women... but MIL gave it to Megha & she received it.. so we can make out that in near future she will no longer be a widow. Red chunari is also kind of symbolic of suhaag...
Renu's expectation was quite obvious in the given reference that chunari is not given to widows... (Still I think I'm not good at religious symbols so let other people interpret it... )Now the 2nd most sick thing to happen, INDU!!! Seriously, she irritates the hell out me. It's Megha's high tolerance level and decency that she can keep control on herself, in face of such disgustingly loud-mouthed, screeching nonsense, babbling wildly Indu. Indu's character is that of a blind-in-her-son's-love mother. In all her tirade, she not even ruthlessly degraded Megha and her widowhood but she also unthinkingly and foolishly insulted her own son and his capabilities as well. She's clearly an insecure and frustrated woman, depicts the two-faced society so well. A society that treats widowhood as nothing less than prostitution or some such equally disgusting state of life. Ready-made bachey??? Seriously Indu crossed all boundaries with those sick words. She's a living and breathing dragon sent from heaven to test the endurance levels of innocent Samaritans. Let's see if today, the CVs show Megha's reserve of endurance breaking under such an onslaught. Hope to see it breaking.
Indu's behaviour was very much acceptable as mother's in India are like that... over protective... her concern was very much genuine... I think Swati explained this very well in her post on the forum.
Regarding your third part... I don't know it might come out true but that would became a copy of other shows... so I wish it turns out to be a dream otherwise Megha will have to hear Indu's words once again... & perhaps we won't be able to tolerate that next time.
