He has been following this formula since his first show Dil mill gaya...then Geet and now this one. With each on he has done better than the before. Looks like he has learned from his experiences. I think had this show been in any other chanel, he would have had more freedom. The previous ones were on Star One which was supposedly watched more by younger generation. But, as a new PH they would probably wanted to be on a chanel that cater to lager demographic. Hope they can find a balance between their formula, the demand of the chanel and us the audience.
In another interview he said Gul and Gorky the other two on his team spends 50-75% of theri time making peace with the chanel and finding a middle ground.

Haven't seen any of his other shows...but can't imagine why the channel will have problems of any the elements of this formula...They all seem pretty kosher to me...

I wonder if the channel said anything about Arnies character becoming darker than what can be considered the act of a 'hero' albeit dark...

I think in the US...if a 'hero' is shown dropping a heroine (or anyone for that matter) from the second floor of his office knowingly...or is shown to throw the girl out of his house to sleep outside in the cold...he would not be considered a hero any more...

^^I didn't watch Geet at all...but heard about it a lot...watched few episodes of DMG but then stopped ater 2 months or so...
I know Arnav's character won't work as the main lead here in US...
I don't think the channel has problem with characters but more with tracks. Apparently the office track was cut short because of them...that's whay they said.

Why would they have to stop the office track?

Agree with you Sush. In US a hero would not ask his wife/ GF/ partner to sleep in the poolside. Dropping Khushi was also uncalled for. But treating her like an animal after they are in love does not work here. I don't watch Desi soaps except IPK. For me it's tooo much.

i agree with showstruck i have seen or at least followed nissar from DMG days.
he has improved a lot he got best director for geet a well deserved one 👏

i like the way he blends comedy and romance.
But seems like balance his light heart ones with SP required drama Gul khan is there this time 😕😆

haha sush in india its different as nissar himself said it has to be mostly from girls point of view
because the majority of the audience is female 😉

and if you see the dropping of the heroin scene hmm the next scene had him telling that he knew that there were boxes, those hero may end up hurting heroine he needs to have a valid reason (hmm may not be real valid reason 😆) and he has to repent a bit in his room 😛

and one more thing as the length of a track are also determined by TRP audience also have to take the blame on the track changes 😕

@zu welcome to nissar phanka group 😉

Hi guys...I can see th reasons for the channel cutting the office track short...What they were showing may have been interesting from an M&B fantasy point of view...but ARnie as a boss was violating so many work place rules from a human resource point of view...any of the channel execs who went to a business school would cringe at the channel image being associated with glorification of things that could be grounds for numerous law suits in a work place...This actually does not surprise me at all...

Sharu ...for legal matters...regret after the egregious act does not amount for much ...neither does the prediction that the act will actually not result in bodily harm...I know... I know...this is a show and legalities should not matter much...but if the channel stands by this...it is bad from an image point of view...sorry can't help but put my corporate hat on while thinking about this...

Coming back to Gul's interview...as Diya said...what is most surprising is no mention of "love" between
the
leads...Gul goes to the extent of saying...they are drawn to each other...and that KHushi affects Arnav in ways he can't understand...but is that it or is there more...?
