I think she is a great choreographer. Not overrated.

All those moves were nothing iconic as such compared to Saroj Khan, her choreography was brilliant she took attention to every detail in a song, be it choli ke peeche or ek do teen.she bought the bollywood feel in both western and traditional dance moves...Farh Khan tends to borrow a lot of dance moves from the west..ek pal ka jeena was nothing great..so was woh ladki hain kahan..altho fun to watch did not deserve an award IMO!!!

Katrina has def worked very hard and improved loads in Sheila ki Jaawani but I would not at all consider her good enough to actually call her a dancer. And Abhishek is just plain bad. Hrithik is very tall as well but he's incredible. Ranbir is normal/tall-ish as well, yet he dances very well. Your height shouldn't restrict you.

When you're working with real dancers on shows like for example Terrence Lewis,Geeta Kapur, Remo on DID, they have the opportunity to showcase their real talent whereas in a movie, they are limited by a lot of things like the script, director's opinion, the actor's dancing abilities, time given, etc. But keeping all that aside, I still don't feel Farah Khan deserves all the awards she gets every year...

Would like to add, the choreographers like VM, FK or Sk, ie filmy ones really donot do much dancing shows where they are dancing, if they r not dancing they donot practise much, and dancing is a very strenous physical activity, if u stop dancing, u will definitely grow fat, that is why most of the dancers become fat when they stop practising regularly, i know quite a few people who became fat after they stopped dancing. Okay may be, it also depends on the body types, some people tend to grow fat easily , and if they kept in check by dancing and then stops suddenly, it will be bad.

to each his own...but really? none of them were iconic????? Chaiyya chaiyaa, ik pal ka jeena, suraj hua maddham, SKJ, munni all were a rage in their times...her songs in K3G, SKJ, Munni, chaiyya chaiyya were as bollywood as it can get...i dunt say saroj khan is bad, but neither is farah...

Saroj khan is more classically and traditionally atuned (hence she can choreograph mujras, classical dances etc very well)...farah isnt really a trained dancer, but she adapts to different danceforms pretty well...

she bought in new concepts (dancing on the train, song styles of different eras etc), slicker presentation and an overall colourful and gripping song picturisation. Shes iconic in her own way.

may be she's talented...but she often gets repetitive for sure...

and seriously WHO CAN BELIEVE tht she did choreography for EK PAL KA JEENA even she takes an award for it...what in a world a fatso like her can do a wonder in the song like tht...smarie pants i m sure u don;t know this but FARAH did admit in hrithik - ' a making of star documentary' tht she choreographed the song like 30 % and most of tht hrithik brought it himself as a faboulous dance he himself is...the signature of tht song which became ''the push signature of hrithik was made by himself and not farah...so in tht case...ek pal ka jeena belongs to HRITHIK and not farah even if she takes the credit.
