This composition is aimed at easing the heartache of the millions of Tasha fans who have suffered major trauma (exceeding that of nakku's 😆 !) post mishal's exit. If mishal leaving ensured that we poor unsuspecting fans went into coma, diggu 🤔😕 the great ensured that our mental stability is permanently gone.🤢

This is what my suggestion would be if somehow by god's grace mishal were to return ever (remember ekta tulsi gautami...? we can always hope sigh!😭
So here goes my FF, OS , SS watever u wud like to call it.

The moonflower is an elusive little thing. Delicate and hard to find, its beauty is revealed in the darkest of nights. Its quiet beauty is unlike the gaudy brightness of millions of other flowers. Seemingly common place yet unique. It reminds of me of nakusha. Her beauty was hidden amid layers and hard to discover. During the day, she looked unremarkable, in fact she looked ugly, yet her beauty was always there to be discovered by one who had patience enough. She was not a painted showpiece like thousands of other pretty faces. Even when she was ugly, her face brought peace and tranquility to the eyes of the beholder.

I begin from where, everything in LTL fell apart. Dutta has gone missing and Nakusha has lost her mental stability. Baaji tracks her down only to find her with Diggu. (yuck, i know!) Back at the PN mansion no one really knows what has happened to the trio. Aai saheb is spending her days in prayers. Before things could fall apart, Kala has taken over control. She has'nt forgiven Dutta but she won't let the family prestige and power go down the drain as well. Our immediate story starts from the point where Nakku lost her doll, she regained her mental health but lost her memory for ever.
aand..now, lets begin-

Part one

Baaji watches the waves crashing down on the coast. The sky was already darkening and ominous rumblings could be heard. "A storm is brewing."he thought. "Chai."the soft voice brought him back to reality. She gave him a small smile and bent to put the cup on the table. He watched her with sadness in his eyes. How could she have forgotten everything? She remembered nothing now. Baaji felt like hitting something or somebody. These days he felt so frustrated and helpless, at times it became difficult to breathe. Where the hell was Dutta? Where? No, he did not believe it for a second that Dutta was no more. He was alive was'nt he? If Baaji Rao was alive then Dutta too had to be alive. Yet, when he saw Nakusha, at times he had this niggling doubt. Nakusha had erased Dutta from her existence. And with that Baaji at times felt that truly Dutta had gone. "Sometimes I feel that your madness was more acceptable, at least you still remembered and cherished him." he muttered sadly. "What, did you say something?" Nakusha asked him gazing at him curiously. "Nothing."he assured her. She gave him another smile, "Chai thandi ho rahi hai."she pointed out. He smiled briefly and picked up the cup. She turned to leave and then stopped by the doorway.Instead of going out, she walked towards the window. "It will soon rain heavily, Baaji you better close the windowpanes."she remarked even as she stared out at the brooding sky. It was strange, somehow water unnerved her. The sound of the sea attracted and terrified her at the same time. "Sahiba.., Sahiba, kahan gyi?" Diggu's voice rang out penetrating through the silence. Nakusha replied mechanically, "Ayi." Within moments she was gone. Baaji felt like smashing the tea cup into a million fragments. He had seen something in Diggu's eyes and that worried him. With Nakusha's memory gone, Patil Niwas under Kala and most importantly Dutta gone, what could he do? "Kya re kitna time laga diya, mere vaste chai lane ka na." Diggu spoke with a hint of exasperation in his voice. Nakusha looked at him for a moment. No she could not place this man in her memory, yet he acted so familiarily with her. It confused her at times. She felt as if she had been serving tea to someone else in life. She had this odd feeling of comfort around Baaji yet with Diggu she never experienced it. "Sahiba?" Diggu stood infront of her with an enquiring look on his face. Nakusha came out of her reverie and went inside the kitchen. Diggu gazed at her profile thoughtfully. Ever since she had come out of her mental trauma, she had gone quiet. There was this impersonal distance and Diggu was not sure if he liked it. Baaji came out with the empty tea cup and found Diggu watching Nakusha's retreating profile. He clenched his fist in anger and for the thousandth time called out to Dutta in his heart.
Aai Saheb was in a serious condition. She refused to eat at all and she refused medication. Madhu ran into Kala even as she came out of Aai Saheb's room with a plate full of untouched food. Kala glanced at the plate and rolled her eyes. "Not again."she groaned. "Yes, she has refused food again. It has been three days and she has not eaten a morsel. At this rate." Madhu could speak no more and tears welled up in her eyes. Kala said sharply, "Stop it ! Nothing is going to happen to her. I'll forcefeed her if need be." With that she snatched the plate from Madhu's hands and went inside Aai Saheb's room. "Why are you here Kala? should'nt you be celebrating right now? After all your wishes came true."Aai Saheb moaned weakly. Kala closed her eyes in exasperation. "For the millionth time Aai Saheb, I did not plot against your favorite son this time. I may hate him but he has spared my life and besides I believe there are other ways to destroy an enemy than by taking his life." she retorted wearily. "Hey aai Jagadambe, mera Dutta!"Aai Saheb sighed painfully and tears started flowing from her eyes. " Aap khana kha lijiye warna mujhe majbooran aapko nali lagvake khilana padega."Kala said harshly. " Agar mera Dutta nahi lauta to bacha to tu mujhe fir bhi nahi payegi." Kala banged down the plate on the table. "He is gone, and that girl too! Why don't you get it? It has been two months now. Even Baaji has not come back with any news!"Kala hissed angrily. "Nai, aap galat bolti ho, mera dil bolta hai, meri nakku aur Dutta lautenge jarur. Dekhna aap." Kala twisted to see Babi standing by the doorway with a defiant expression on her face. She smiled scornfully, "You and Aai Saheb are acting like emotional fools. Learn to accept the reality." she said coldly. With that she was gone. Aai Saheb and Babi gazed into each other's eyes, their hearts sore and courage broken. Everyday, their hearts withered a bit more, everyday their maternal instincts fought against the obvious truth and lost. The two women cried over the fate of their children.
Mai spots Diggu sitting alone in his room and staring into space. "Kai re, what is the matter?" she asks him curiously as she enters his room. Diggu keeps quiet for a moment and then grunts, "Nothing Aai." Aai realizes that Diggu is not telling her the truth. She sits besides him and once again asks him the same question. Diggu ponders for a moment and then slowly starts speaking. "Aai ye Sahiba ko dekh na kya hua hai. Badal gyi hai puri, na mere pas aati hai, na mujhe dekhti hai, na baat karti hai. Mereko paichanti nai."Diggu muttered in a troubled tone. Aai looked at him worriedly. "Diggu, tu aise mat kar. Give her sometime and besides, I was also thinking about something else. " As Diggu glanced at his mother, she looked away. How could she share her fears with him? They may be baseless and Diggu was really fond of the girl. It would be better to let go, she decided. She statred to get up but Diggu stopped her. "You did not complete your sentence Aai. What is it?" he asked her. Aai looked at Diggu with concern. She battled with her maternal sentiments and finally commonsense won. "Listen Diggu, we know nothing about the girl. Iam getting worried about this attachment of yours with her. What if she has a man in her life? What will you do if she regains her memory?" Aai spoke urgently. Diggu stared at her for a second and then stood up abruptly. Blood rushed to his face even as he yelled angrily, "She is mine Aai, she can never belong to anyone else."

At precisely that moment, the storm which seem to be struck in a limbo for long, started. Rain and wind lashed against the panes making them shiver. The sea seemed to swell and threatened to break free of its coastal boundaries. An unconscious man lay on a bed muttering something. The woman beside him looked at him with scared eyes. Even as she watched, the man seemed to revive and thrashed around the bed. She had screamed, "Sahab!" He had known desperation then. Even as they had flung his half dead body down the river, he had sworn to return, for her. Her screams had ripped through the atmosphere again and again. "Sahab!!" that desperate almost wounded animal like cry brought him to senses. "Nakku!"he growled with fury even as he sat up sweating profusely. Supriya looked at him with astonishment. Two months this man had been in a coma. Doctors had declared him dead and yet there he was. "Even now, the first thing he can think of is her." she thought with amazement. She was shaken out of her reverie as an enraged Dutta grabbed hold of her throat. "You! What the hell are you doing here. Where am I and where is Nakusha?" the last words were spoken in a voice so raw that they took away her breath for a second. Even as he tightened his grasp on her throat, she looked into his turbulent eyes thinking, "Can this man love so much?"

hmmm, so wat r ya waitin for? gv me my comments nd dat too pronto! brickbats nd flower bouquets...i accept them all !

In this FF, your baaji is the voice of us, the viewers. But in the serial he is not even uncomfortable to see digu getting possessive of nakku and that mai is hiding the truth for digu's sake.
Good effort. Thanks.

Hey Bubbles, sorry donno your name.
Great start 👏👏👏👏
Teared me all up 😭😭😭😭
Brought back good ol' TaSha memories...I miss Dutta, miss the moonflower Nakku and most of all miss the man who made Dutta what it is today.
Word to the coma and the mental state.
I keep telling myself and others here - do not expect the magic - the old LTL is gone here is another of the usual TRP craving run of the mill crapola in the making - it will get worser - it will only hurt to compare.
Sorry for the whining...great start please continue...

PART- TWO

"She was never found."Supriya gasped even as Dutta gazed at her with half crazed eyes.A shiver seemed to pass through his body at those words. "Never found."he repeated the words slowly almost disbelievingly. He released her from his death grip. Supriya collapsed down on the floor coughing painfully. His grip had left marks on her delicate throat but Dutta seemed oblivious to her condition. He stared into vacant space as the full meaning of the words sunk in. He swayed for a moment. "Dutta!" Supriya exclaimed with concern and rushed up to support him. He brushed her hand away angrily and grabbed the bed post instead. Closing his eyes, he sank down on the bed. She watched him helplessly as he went pale and bit his lip so hard that it bled. After a moment or so, he opened his eyes and spoke hollowly, "How long have I been in this place?" "Two months."she murmered. Two months, two infuriating long months without her. What if? No, he could'nt even think of that possibility. Gripping the bed post so hard that the whites of his knuckles showed, Dutta spoke in a deadly calm voice. "How did you find me?" "I had got my divorce and I was returning from court. I saw it happening." she replied bitterly. Some other time he would have reflected on the fact that Supriya's marriage had turned out unsuccessful but now was not that time."You saw me fall."he stated blandly. "Yes."she replied quietly. The next part was harder. Biting his lip fiercely so that it now bled freely, Dutta asked the one question he did not dare to. "What did they do to her?" he croaked somehow. " She kept screaming your name. They tried to hold her back but she kept on struggling. Finally one of them hit her on the head with the butt of his gun.She did not give up even then. She bit into the arm of her captor and jumped into the river after you."Supriya narrated mechanically. Each word seemed to tear through his body and soul. He sensed wetness on his cheeks and realized that he was crying. Supriya gazed at him with wonder. A pang ripped through her heart and her throat became constricted. To imagine that she had rejected a love so passionate and strong as his."What was I to do Dutta?"she cried out."Mai akeli thi, bilkul akeli. I had to wait till the men left. It was then I started searching for you and found you." she sobbed. Dutta got up in rage and grabbed her arm. "Look at me! Does it look that I, Dutta Shriram Patil, am the kind of man who would need your help to survive? Why did you not save Nakku? Why?" he yelled and threw her against the wall. He hit his fist against the wall with impotent rage. "Nakku! Ae Nakusha!"he groaned hoarsely. He had to find her. There was no point living without her. His jawline went firmer. He would find her, at any cost!
He started to leave but Supriya protested. "You are still not well." He silenced her with a glare and walked up to the main door. Within seconds he was out. He had to get back home. He had to find her. "Sahab!" her tormented screams rang in his ears constantly. "Nakku, I have sinned a lot. But I refuse to accept such a severe punishment for my sins!" he muttered roughly even as he stumbled on the road. He still felt disoriented and weak. But Nakku's screams kept him going on. He haed no idea where was he going, his vision too seemed to grow darker. The next moment he had fallen down unconscious.
Nakku slept peacefully. She was having a lovely dream. The slum children were playing by the sea side and she was watching. Then suddenly, the sky grew darker. She moaned and twisted in her sleep. The sea side was gone and there was a road. Some one was being beaten up and a woman was crying.Who was the woman? She could not see the person being beaten but it troubled her. She was running towards them, telling them to stop. Suddenly she woke up and sat straight on the bed. The wind had died down and the rain had mellowed down to a drizzle. She walked towards the window pane and opened it. A damp breeze blew through her hair. She looked out at the sea. There was something inexplicable about it. "Who was that woman? The man, who was he? What was I thinking?" she wondered frustratedly.Come to think of it, she had seen this dream earlier as well only she never remembered it. But tonight, it had been so clear. All of a sudden Nakusha felt a sense of deep loss. Something had gone forever. Something so precious and irreplaceable that it had broken her heart. Without even realizing it, Nakusha started to cry silently.
Baaji stared at his gun. It had lain discarded like that since Dutta had gone. How many times had he thought about finishing himself off? "Why had'nt I been there? Why?" he moaned. He had found Nakku but nowadays, he felt it would have been better if she had simply died. "Nakku, jhoothi, adhuri jindagi ji rahi hai tu. Kaise dekhega apun tereko aisi khokhli jindagi jite hue kaise?" Baaji growled angrily. In his frustration, he grabbed hold of the glass of water beside the bed and dashed it against the wall.
As the glass seemed to explode into a million glittery fragments, Baaji let out a curse. Somewhere in the house, Nakku heard the noise. She crept down the stairs and looked around to locate the source of the noise. Everybody seemed to be asleep. It was then that she noted that the light was still on in Baaji's room. She walked upto the door and raised her hand to knock but then hesitation crept in. Precisely at that moment, Baaji opened the door and the two found themselves face to face.

It was 3 am in the night and every light in Patil Niwas was blazing brightly. Unbelieving pairs of eyes took in Dutta's still form as Supriya narrated her story to the family. Even Sudershan seemed to be awestruck for a moment. Madhu, Leelavati, Roops, Aai Saheb and Babi had literally drenched the unconscious Dutta with their tears. Kala stood at a distance seemingly at a loss to react. She no longer had that mortal hatred for Dutta but her heart refused to show compassion for the man as well. AAi Saheb was offering her grateful regards to Aai Jagadambe and Kala gazed at her mother sadly. Why was it that her mother never seemed to have that kind of feelings for her? Why?
Just then Dutta came to his senses. Like a wounded animal, he jerked up and looked at everyone suspiciously before realization sank in. When he noticed Aai Saheb, he grabbed hold of her and buried his face into her shoulder. "I lost her.I lost her Aai Saheb, I lost her!"he cried as heavy sobs racked his powerful frame. With those words Babi broke down completely. Ganpat supported his wife with an arm while with the other he wiped way his own tears. So it was true then, the fact that he had tried to deny for so long was actually true. "Nakku nai rahi Babi, Apni Nakku nai rahi."he sighed heavily. "Ae Ganpat !"Dutta's growl startled everyone. He emerged from his mother's shelter and everyone stared at him awestruck. His eyes were red rimmed. Dutta Shriram Patil's tears were there for all to see. He freed himself from his mother's embrace and walked unsteadily to face Ganpat. "Mujhse agar kho gayi to iska matlab ye nahin ki vo.."he did not complete the sentence. He grabbed hold of Ganpat's collar. Everybody held their breath. Aai Saheb's heart bled for her son. Babi went on weeping sadly.Ganpat cowered under Dutta's grip. " She is alive, do you understand me? I will find her! At any cost!"he spat out in a ragged voice. Dutta released Ganpat and shouted furiously. "Nobody, I mean nobody in this house shall ever utter such words again. Nakusha Dutta Shriram Patil, my wife is alive and she will be back in this house." "and in my life too."he promised himself.

PART THREE

She looked at him confusedly. Baaji gave her a stern glance. He knew that she meant well yet these days it was getting hard to control his temper around her. "Itni raat ho gayi hai, kaiko jagi hui hai?" he asked her coldly. Nakusha winced at the unfriendly tone. Why was Baaji so rough all the time. Why did she knowingly subject herself to his coldness, it was not as if she was his bound servant. Yet, she could not be angry with him for some weird reason." I heard a noise. It seemed like glass shattering." she mumbled, her eyes on the floor. "More likely, it was the sound of my heart shattering." Baaji thought as he looked down at her. With every passing moment the frustration in him grew. "Dutta, she is slipping away, why don't you come back to us?" his heart howled in anguish. Nakusha stole a glance at Baaji's face and was struck to see the tormented look in his eyes. " Baaji?" she called out timidly. Baaji was shaken out of his thoughts and realized that she was peering at him curiously. "Nakku, tu ja na yahan se. Jati kaiko nai hai re?Glass toota hai bas, apun sab set kar lega. Tu ja na baba." he spoke irrtatedly. But she had already gone inside.
Quietly, she began to gather the shards of glass. Baaji watched her with barely concealed frustration. Nakusha, conscious of Baaji's displeasure, decided to hurry through her task. Within moments, she had cut herself. Baaji was twisting his lips in temper when he heard her yelp. He saw that she had cut herself. "Vahini !" he muttered in shock and immediately went to help her. The cut was superficial but Baaji wanted to make sure that glass had not gone inside the skin. As he examined her hand, Nakusha sat absolutely still, absorbing what she had heard him utter. Baaji still had not figured out his mistake and continued to carry out his ministrations. "Vahini? How am I your Vahini Baaji?" she asked him quietly. Baaji froze at once. At precisely that moment, Baaji's cellphone rang.
Dutta paced his room to and fro like an caged animal.Patil Niwas had fallen apart in his absence. Worse news, Baaji had been missing for quite a while. He still did not know who were his assailants. But all that could be done later. "Nakku, nakku!"he groaned in frustration. God only knew what he would have given to have her beside him at this moment. From the moment he had gained consciousness, his heart had been chanting her name. As he sat down on the bed, he almost felt her presence. "Is this the way you decided to get even? Come on Nakku, you never played dirty. Tu to kehti thi ki tu mujhse pyar karti hai. Aaj jab mai ye baat chikh chikh ke bol raha hu to tu kaha kho gayi hai ? he said bitterly. So many moments had come and gone in their lives. She had always been there for him. Life had given him so many opportunities at love but he had wasted them all chasing superficial women. He closed his eyes in anguish. Nakusha had deserved love but she had'nt recieved any from him.He had crushed her hopes, her aspirations and even her self respect at times. Yet she had been there whenever he had called out to her. His heart thudding painfully, Dutta strode towards the almirah and opened it. He took out some of her clothes and made a bundle of them. Carrying the bundle, he arranged it on the bed and sat looking at it sadly. Unable to control himself any longer, he threw himself over the pile and breathed in her scent. For a moment he imagined her with him and his hand clenched to form a fist."No, you can't leave me now." he said with determination. His heart had always been hers, but now apart from the hollowness he felt within, he was consumed by a raging physical hunger for her.
Tearing himself away from her clothes he got up and went inside the bathroom. Turning the shower on at full, he felt ice cold water hit his body. How long he stood beneath the shower he did not know. The intensity of his reaction to her fragrance had left him weak. Finally he arrived at a decision and twisted the shower tap.Drenched from head to toe, he walked out and fetched a fresh pair of clothes. He then looked around the room for his cell phone and realized that he had none. That day it had gone into the water alongwith him. Muttering curses, Dutta got hold of the landline. As the unknown person on the other side picked up, Dutta barked, "Let Mumbai know that Dutta Shriram Patil is back." He replaced the reciever and stood thinking."Baaji, if this does'nt bring you back, I honestly don't know what else will."
