Lola, I have another question.....did the original Dwaraka Nirmaan episode have the same Vishvakarma scenes or did they redo those too? Because this episode seemed kind of shoddy after the amazing Kalyavan Vadh one...the new Narad actor sucked (no offense to him), as did the new Indra (who looked like he was being forced to act). Will they lost long?🥱

@ Aishu - yayyyyyyyyyy you watched more... and you liked my Vasuji 😆 Really enjoyed that scene as well, his character really shines throughout and you can totally tell why God picked him for his role in the leela. In that particular epi my fav stuff is Kans's shaadi plans though... the irony of Jarasandh's list of qualities his future son-in-law must have being the total opposite of what any normal person would look for 🤣

@ Janu - first of all, me sad with you 😭 Until the you know whos listen to me, that is 😛 They did make a weak attempt at transitioning, if you had the RS lecture the put in right before as he's talking about Dwarika Nirmaan he says Jarasandh kept attacking and as that happened KRishna and Balram got older... it's 30 seconds into this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrjGHut4qIw Anyway glad you guys finally get what I've been ranting and raving about and that your dad is gonna watch the real ones online, that way his SK appreciation won't be affected. The show as it really was, was amazing. And btw you're right, that Vishwakarma sequence was entirely redone, new guy, new songs - originally it was something to the same tune as "Saghan Ghan Garje" from the Janmashtami sequence, with the words "Tihun lokpati ki raajdhani Dwarika" in place of "Ban chhatra chal diye Shesh Prabhu ke saath mein". SDB will grow on you because you'll see in the Sudama epis that the whole time it was the get-up that was the problem, unhindered by it he's great as any real RS choice should be. Narad also improves, can't compare him to the old one Deepak Dave but he does get better and less cartoonish as the show goes on. Indra... let's not go there 😆

None of the rakshas aged and the setting looked exactly as it had when Krishna left as Ranchor.😕 And the Dwaraka Nirmaan episode was so repetitive in its songs, not to mention that there were waaaaay too many and waaaay too little dialogues. They weren't really memorable songs either, just the same old tune stating the obvious on what the characters were doing. Those songs really divert one's attention, because there's no point to them if you know what I mean.🥱 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrjGHut4qIw Anyway glad you guys finally get what I've been ranting and raving about and that your dad is gonna watch the real ones online He saw the 3 min Dwaraka Nirmaan episode you uploaded onto youtube, and he agreed that it was 100x better than the one they showed on DVD. Even though you had only a little part of it, he was curious to see the rest with Swapnil and Sanjeev. He said that SDB is good looking as Krishna and there's nothing wrong with him in terms of looks or stature, but he prefer Swapnil because of his amazing dialogue delivery and enthusiasm. He said it seemed as if Swapnil was really enjoying what he was acting, and that he improved a looot from his entrance scene of Na Jaane Tose...actually, Swapnil grew on my dad since the scene where Krishna showed Akrur his Vishva Roop (before Kans Vadh)...like I told you before, the RadheKrishna scenes bored him so he was a bit dubious about how Swapnil would pull off Krishna's political victories (esp since he liked Ashok a lot before that) since all he'd seen first were the lovey dovey scenes with Shweta, but now...he thinks Swapnil did a really great job as Krishna (esp during the Jarasandh and Kalyavan epis) and wishes he'd lasted longer......he says SDB is not bad in terms of looks but that he does not like his dialogue delivery because it is not assertive or ethusiastic enough. , that way his SK appreciation won't be affected.I told him about how the original was skewed up and all, and though he understands, he says that people's first impression of the serial if they are watching it for the first time now (like us) will be what they see in the DVDs...and if the editors messed up compiling the episodes, it is unfortunate for the show because people will form a bad opinion of it and RS's direction. The show as it really was, was amazing. And btw you're right, that Vishwakarma sequence was entirely redone, new guy, new songs - originally it was something to the same tune as "Saghan Ghan Garje" from the Janmashtami sequence, with the words "Tihun lokpati ki raajdhani Dwarika" in place of "Ban chhatra chal diye Shesh Prabhu ke saath mein".Yeah, I could kind of tell...somehow, that scene seemed lusterless after the amazing Kalyavan episode, which is really a pity because Dwaraka Nirmaan is supposed to be pretty eventful and important. The songs were repetitive and most of the lyrics just stated the obvious, and the adult actor who played Balram was a disappointment after Sanjeev Sharma. SDB will grow on you because you'll see in the Sudama epis that the whole time it was the get-up that was the problem, unhindered by it he's great as any real RS choice should be. Like my dad, I too have nothing against him...and like I also wrote before, we can take bad makeup and still love the actors, because makeup can never cover the actor's true talent, can it? But like my dad, I too did not really like SDB's dialogue delivery. For the earlier Golok scenes, it was suitable and sweet, because Krishna did not really have any "strong" or "assertive" dialogues, but now with Mahabharat starting, there will be a lot of battle scenes and speeches and all...I don't think his soft soothing voice will fit. I would have liked RS to choose an adult Krishna with more of an assertive/joking attitude...I generally envision Shri Krishna as a fun-loving yet strong/gambheer character, and while all of SK's Krishnas fit that picture thus far, SDB seems more of a Ram type if you know what I mean. Narad also improves, can't compare him to the old one Deepak Dave but he does get better and less cartoonish as the show goes on. Indra... let's not go there 😆 Lols, I hope so.😳 I'm still going to watch since I want to give SDB a chance...but let me warn you beforehand that I will be pining for the earlier epis, and my entries (once I get that far) won't be all poise and praise like before.😆

It may make things better or worse that nothing you heard in the serial thus far has been SDB's real voice 😆 The ones that featured it were his first two scenes in the very beginning that you didn't have, when he's breaking Narad's ego and when he introduces the politics of Mathura. The Golok one was Vasuji aka Sunil Pandey, one of RS's fav dubbing artists since we heard soooo much of him in Uttar Ramayan and SK. As for the songs, I totally agree - originally there was just 1 song, and the rest of the sequence was all Swapnil dialogues - first with Garud over something about crossing the water to Dwarika, and it was the same Garud as Ramayan... then he talks to a different Vishwakarma (also saw him earlier in the serial... as Rahu I think in the Mohini epi?) and then to Akrur regarding what the Mathuravaasis may think about moving.

Janu 🤗...

Yes, at last I have arrived here again after nearly one month!!! 🤔 My last last post of 25 Dec was on page 5!I coudn't believe it myself!!! 😆

Hey, You reached upto Dwarika Nirmaan!!! Wow!!! Just great to have the journey with you!! Enjoying every bit of it!! 😍

So at first let me inform you that I have actually 😆 edited my 3rd post on page 4... It was due since last one month 😳.. Just could not focus on SK due to the effect of Ramayan on me (as you already know 😃). To read the new additions- you can just go thr' the underlined part of my post with 'Edited' (in Italics) as the sub heading 😊, that too, only when you find time...

Now among all these discussions about Dwarika Nirmaan going on this page , let me go back a bit 😳 and begin with the later part of your entry dated 17 Dec (page 3), the part I missed in my last post -

-All the Makhan Chori episodes are just Pure Bliss... as I have written earlier also. I LOVE all the Gokul episodes and specially the Yashoda-Krishna interactions!!⭐️

-Yes, Krishna playing Flute for the first time is just awesome!! The Music just fills our heart!! I LOVED your Creation of Krishna with Bansuri in various stages 'Muralidhar Krishna' 😍 😍

Now WRT to your Reply on Page 6:- Love to read your posts ⭐️... Yes Dear, Lola is right! This 7-8 yr old Krishna is my favourite!! I LOVE to watch ALL the scenes where he is present. 😍 ..

Coming to the Entry of 29 Dec :-

- Radherani's Entry and 'Namaami Radhe Namaami Krishna' is one of my most fav song from SK!!

- Hey, I never knew anything about Shridama's Curse, will try to read about it in future. It made me remember about the curse on Shri Ram and Sita Mata.

- Fruit Seller story is indeed Divine!! Don't have any words for it! The way Krishna manages to bring only afew grains 😊 of rice- is really soooo touching!! We just Love to feel the Bliss again and again...

- You are right Dear, about the people who comment on 'Gopi Vastra haran' ...I am completely with you regarding this, it is shown and explained in such a nice way that no one can have any more questions about it! RSji is such a Master in delivering Devotion to the audience!! Without him, persons like me would never have realised Devotion in the way we feel by watching his creations again and again!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

- And yes, Mansukha is really Loyal to Krishna, Love him too 😊...

- Not only you Dear, I too am really in love with the tune by Dhanwa... So happy to get the YouTube links of those sc.s Dear!! 😍

- Ashok Balakrishnan is very very serious on screen, it is his acting which makes those sc.s of Aghasur and Bakasur come to life! Love the Ashtabakra story. And you are right about Repentence, only with Sincere Repentence we can come out of any mistake, as also suggested by Mata Sita to Lakshmanji. Lord is always ready to forgive us, we only need to go to HIM without any hesitation.

Entry of 30 Dec:-

- Love to see Ashok Balakrishnan's conversation with Kaaliya naag and his wives, and of course the dance...

- Tuladaan incident is sooo significant!! (ask me which one is not!! 😆 )... Anyway, I love it and the way Ashok Balakrishnan looks at Shri Radhe Rani while they were parting.... Too good! Love the Flute sequence... Both of them are Sooo.. Sincere on screen that they just deliver the 'Pure Love' to us...

- While reading about Govardhan Dhaaran I remembered all the discussions we had about it in out DOTW in our CC. Enjoyed all of them! Have written much on it already, so not repeating myself here😊

- Breaking of Brahma's pride is another short incident which again stresses on the point of Pride. Throughout the whole series this point has been repeated so many times! Thus we can easily understand that getting rid of the Ego is really a tough task.

Entry of 31 Dec: There is nothing to write about the Radhe-Krishna Leela... These episodes are to be Felt by the audience! 😍

Now about SDB:- At last we have arrived to the SDB episodes 😆...Well yes he did an wonderful work in Swami Vivekananda movie, but I don't remember the details of it, as I did not pay that much attention to it, 😔 when they showed it on National Television. You know, this time I even searched for this film when I went to Kolkata, but could not find it 😭. I am really really interested to watch the film, with the new Realisation (which I have now) about Spirituality. He has done such a Remarkable work in SK!!⭐️ I am sure you'll enjoy the Later Episodes also.... I too was a fan of Nitishji from my childhood (used to get very much influenced by him...) . But after watching SDB, I had to change my views, now I Love to feel the Bliss while watching SDB as Shri Krishna. Though I love all the scenes of Nitishji, and specially Love the Geeta episodes in MB, but SDB has portrayed another aspect of the Lord, his softer side(the way you have mentioned- exactly like Shri Ram 😊 ), which was not shown that much in MB. Here we see every time he just Melts with his Devotees... feels their Happiness, their Sorrows. We can feel that even when he is in the battlefeild! He has shown Wisdom in a completely different way from Nitishji! You know, I can keep on writing endlessly like this on SDB 😆 😆...

For now, let me tell you some of the intersting incidents to be covered in those later episodes, so that you (and your Dad), do not lose interest 😃:

- Satyabhama, Arjun and Bheem's Maan Bhang episodes,
- Krishna and Arjun's Meeting with Shri Bhagwan
- Sudama episodes (as you already know about them from Lola)
- Bhanmati - Pradyumna story,
- Geeta Episodes.

That much I could remember today, will add more, if I find some more. Believe me the Geeta episodes (along with the Sudama ones of course) are worth watching!! I love SK- the whole series!! For me Shri Krishna Himself is present in all those episodes! You won't be bothered about the Make up and Direction of those episodes, I feel, those are really unimportant elements to distract our attention from the Message of the story.

And now coming to a lighter note- Dear, not only you, I too take notes (like a student 😆) while watching Ramayan to remember the details for future references.🤣

Janu, Truely, You are doing such a Great work by writing this diary and you have AMAZING writing skill!! 👏👏 👏You are making us go thr' those episodes simply by your words!! 👏 👏👏 So Many members are following this Thread and getting Motivated to watch SK... Loving it!! And Love to be a part of the journey!! This one is such a Unique thread, sooo close to my heart!! The Lord is so Great to Encourage you to write about your experiences... We can never have enough words for Him!!!

And lastly, Loving this new name of this Thread Dear... it has the element of Devotion in it ⭐️...(We don't have an Emoticon for Devotion!! 😔)

(Can't believe I have written sooo much 😳 😳 )

Jai Shree Krishna!

@ Aishu,

Hey, what a Wonderful Name you have suggested Dear Sis for this thread!! Very very nice!! ⭐️⭐️

It is great to know about Shridhama's Curse! Truly, I have never heard of it before.

I too agree with you regarding young Krishna's portrayal in MB, I feel, those episodes do not have the 'Ras' which only SK is able to deliver to the audience!

Love the Bhakti Mata story, yes I too like to follow the symbolism part of it. Naarad's story is also very good! and as Lola has already mentioned- SDB is just GREAT in those "Daya Nidhi Bhakt Batsal" (i.e.- quoting her words 😆 ) scenes! He just Melts down with His Devotees, we see it throughout the whole SK! 😍

Raja Parikshit's story actually starts the story of the Lord, thus it is so important!

Loving to read about Swarg, Moksha, Punya, Devotion in your posts- those initial episodes just make the way for the Lord to appear 😊

You are right about those episodes... They teach us sooo many things on Spiritality that we actually become more Wise after watching (and reflecting) on them.

And I think I have missed that 'Ram Katha' song 😔, can't remember it now, will definitely try to watch that part on my DVD again.

You know, I Respect Vasudevji so much for the way he shows Strength, his Faith on the Truth in adverse situations.

@ Lola,

Love Love Love your post on page 8 👏. 👏Just don't have any option but to quote your Original words 😆 ... About 'do ungli ka faasla' part - "instead of just telling us "look how God listens to you" RSji gets it to tell us "look what it takes to get God to listen to you". ⭐️

And about the Gopis - "...their pride overall didn't need breaking - that was exactly what they wanted, an informal and playful and barrier-free bond with him by which they could fight, compete, argue, and love him all at once. They earned it" ⭐️ ⭐️

About Ashok Balakrishnan part- "...when Yashoda Maiya tells him to wash up before eating his prasad and he's like, "ask God whether he'd rather I eat it with a clean body or a clean mind" 😉 LOVE it!! And agree about Aghasur Vadh - Ashok's epis, I think, are the most saturated with practical life lessons. Swapnil's have all the lessons on love/devotion, and Ashok's give us a lot on how to live in general. That first scene about clean body/clean mind >> don't be hypocritical. Aghasur >> don't be overly concerned physical appearance as God is in all, as well as the patience of the sage/ Kaaliya >> don't be proud. Govardhan >> tons and tons... " ⭐️ ⭐️

And also Loved the suggestion for the Thread-name- 'Shri Krishna Katha Amrit' tooo..😆

Post about Shukdevji is wonderful Dear!! I always love to see him on screen.

Oh Dear, tum Mohini Avtaar ki actress ki baare me bhi itna kuchh jaanti ho!!! 🤣

Do post more about the Tamil Alvars, bahut hi sundar concept hai!!

And Dear I'm here with you for the 30 second ad about our favourite 'Lessons from 'Maharishi Gargacharya' Thread 😃... Requesting the members to join us there...

@Parina

Hey Dear, Do watch RSji-Ramayan when you find time, it is the same as SK, you just have to watch it to FEEL the Bliss!

And how did you like Akrur's visit to Hastinapur? I Love his meeting with Kunti, Vidur and Bheeshma! Very very Touching (and Devotional) scenes!

@Vedo,

Hi Dear! Great to see you here! Loving your entries! Keep them coming! Have already written my comments on those scenes, while Janu was watching them 😊. And our Dear Lola has already covered everything in her post ⭐️ . Carry on your journey with SK and share with us whenever you have time to post here. 😊

@Lola di, I Know! Who would want such a son-in-law? Did you notice that Ravaan's voice is just like Gabbar Singh! Lol!!!!! 😆😆😆😆And you know when his side-kicks like Chanoor say good things about him, he gets that really arrogant look on his face! Lol too funny to watch!🤣 But I think that the actors who played Jarasand and Banasur over did their part a bit. Too dramatic na! Lol, I feel bad for Ugrasen. To be related not to only Kans, but now to Jarasand as well! That confrontation with Jarasand's "doot" was so well acted out. But then, Kans met with Chitrasen. Was he an asur as well?

@Debi di, awwwww thank you sooooo much di!🤗🤗 Nice to know another SK fan! You should have joined our discussion earlier! We get into frequent discussions about everything! I agree on every point with you! SK indeed is teaching us to love God more and more! I love watching it! ⭐️

Guys, I just have a small request...actually, I am guilty of this myself because I brought Nitish into my post in comparison to SDB, and that's going against our forum rules. I'm really sorry for breaking that.😔 I edited my post in the prev page so that there's no mention of Nitish in it...since this post is for SK, let's please not discuss other shows or actors of other shows in it as that may lead to comparisons which may then hurt members' feelings. Nitish and SDB were both good Krishnas, and both were of a different calibre so there's no point comparing them.
So plzzzz accept my heartfelt apology.😭🤗 If I hurt anyone, I'm really really sorry, and from now on I will post my views on SDB from what I see of him only...not going to bring in another actor again in comparison to him, I promise.😳

@ Debi di - so glad we agree as always di, power to the sisterhood 😆 Aur Mohni actress ke baare mein koi khaas info to nahin, just kept recognizing her in every other song... like the where is Waldo game 😆 Don't know if you guys have that there though 😕 And thanks for the idea di, will work on some write-ups on the Alvars for the Saints thread!

@ Aishu - yeah exactly, whenever Kans lowers his voice and does that threatening tone, he could be saying anything but all I here is "kitne aadmi the" 🤣 And I think Jarasandh and Banasur were made to act like that on purpose, to heighten the comedic effect of the scene... the irony of their personalities being so so so off-track... like they are soooo loud when they greet each other, pyaar ki baat dhamki ki aawaz mein kehdi 😆
And I think Kans's entire mantri mandal was asurs only, if not in that life then reborn asurs like Kans himself. Wasn't that interesting to find out that Ugrasen wasn't really his dad though 😲
And not to worry, the way you've brought up JSK thus far doesn't break any rules - we can have objective factual comparisons saying "this show showed the story like this, and the other one showed like that", just no actor bashing or comments that can be interpreted as such. Rest assured, you're safe 😉

@ Janu - awww it's ok hun, good that you caught yourself early before it got anywhere 😆 As far as I'm concerned, no offense taken so no apology needed 😃 And thanks for the reminder of the rule, we could all use that!
