Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja calls Yashvardhan’s Bollywood debut stronger than Ahaan’s ‘Saiyaara’

Sunita Ahuja, wife of actor Govinda, recently spoke about her son Yashvardhan’s upcoming debut in Bollywood, while also addressing her views on newcomers in the industry. Her comments came during an interview with Eat Travel Repeat, at a time when reports around her personal life with Govinda have also been making headlines.

During the conversation, a viewer remarked that Yashvardhan is “so handsome” that he should have been cast in Saiyaara, the debut film of Ahaan Panday. Responding to this, Sunita said her son is part of “a better picture” than Saiyaara. Yashvardhan is expected to debut with the Hindi remake of filmmaker Sai Rajesh’s Telugu film Baby. In her words: “I wish. But usse better picture kar raha hai Yash.”

Sunita further mentioned that although she has not yet seen Saiyaara, her son has watched it twice and appreciated it. She added that she plans to watch the film once it arrives on Netflix. Ending the subject on a positive note, she wished success to all debutants: “Maine abhi tak dekhi nahi hai. Yash ne do baar dekhi hai. Main dekhungi, mujhe dekhna hai. But abhi 14 tareek ko shayad aa raha hai naa Netflix pe. But good good. Best of luck to all the kids who are coming up. And I want ki sab bachhe khoob naam kamaye.”

The conversation also touched upon her equation with Rasha Thadani, daughter of Raveena Tandon. Sunita revealed that while she has not had the chance to meet Rasha personally, she did watch her film Azaad in theatres. Reflecting on the performance, she said the young actor reminded her of Raveena’s childhood. “She’s a sweet girl. Raveena ka bachpan yaad aata hai.”

Meanwhile, speculation around Sunita and Govinda’s marriage continues to circulate. Several outlets reported that Sunita filed for divorce on December 5, 2025, citing serious concerns. Sources suggested that the couple has been attending counselling sessions since then. However, Govinda’s manager dismissed the rumours, clarifying that the two are together and preparing to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi.

Neither Sunita nor Govinda has issued an official statement, leaving much of the chatter around their relationship in the realm of speculation.
