i noticed from the start that javed saab is not happy with shan for an unknown reason
and he was cutting marks of his team for not so big reasons

and on the other part ismail was giving 10 to every one

over all not a good performance from jury

exactly the jury was the biggest flop today....i agree with slumdog that may be the others gave 10 to shaan's strikers thats y javedji gave 5 but thats not how it was supposed to be....i mean i agree that shankar's team's medley is a straight 10 on 10 today but shaan's wasnt a 5! thats poor and the comment he madeabout the attempt was way out of line......i liked alka's version tho as she said that just because the songs were easier doesnt make a performance less credited....

for me its a tie of worst performances between the jury's judgement and rahul-niti's one (it made me wanting to throw up straight away....or worse p.ke)

I wonder how much marks Javed Akhtar would give to his son's singing which leaves a lot to be desired. As far as I'm concerned Farhan Akhtar cannot sing full stop. He does not sing, he screams and his voice cracks. There are far more better singers in Music Ka Muqabla than Farhan. Just think if Farhan came for an Indian Idol audition would he have got a go ahead card from Javedji (if Farhan had not been his son).

I agree with your viewpoint. Javed Akhtar did seem to have something against Shaan. Taking fifty percent off from Shaan's medley was not logical. Any way I was reading some of the comments of you tube and most people felt that Javeji was not fair to Shaan's team so I guess todays show might help Shaan. Let's hope for the best!!!

Gajjennddrra Sinngghh is a very clever maker of reality shows. He knows how to add masala, twists and turns, and the right amount of suspense to build an entertaining script.

But today Javed Saab proved once again that woh toh scriptwriting mein sabke baap hain.

Late comment from me as I was watching the downloaded version of todays show ....

Well I have a small Q for Mr. Javed Akhtar .....

1. For Shadab ... His comments vere absurd .... If Shadab's voice is a bit similar like the original singer then what to do .... change voice or what .. Shadab sang in his own voice .. and for song copy ... oh my god ... Shadab's version was so different from the original .. Javed A must have forgot the notes and he purposely gave low marks for attention .. you know he just wants attention ... everywhere he creates hullah .. same he did with Aamir Khan and AK gor so pissed off that he resigned from the committe ....

2. On the second medly performance .... "Jalah do yeh dunia" sunke unhe rona aaya ???? pagal hein kya .. first of all that song had no connection with kissan it's a Guru Dutt song .... achanak agar koi jala do jala do bolke fasi pe chrne jai .. usse rona aate hein .... what to say ... and on Shaan's medly .. today was a bit filmy as that was the theme ... entertaining .. very true .. but he totally lost his mind ... he didn't got the theme .... "Love" can keep bonding people all stature of people and "Love" can keep all of us united .. and that's what is needed today ... His brains are not working it seems and it was well told by other juries that ok, you may not like but this much of difference??

But seriously he has something against Shaan's team I guess ... when Shaan told he is not trying to get carried by .. Javed A told " Yeh ek point se lead milne ke baad yaad aaya" Imagine taunting Shaan ...

Apart from something against Shaan (maybe some personal grudge he has against Bengalis ... sorry but he did this earlier also .. in Indian Idol the way he used to humiliate Imon for his voice being close to Sonu ... we all knew his nature .. and today his behaviour for Shaan proved this more ...) .. and second point .. he is a attention seeker ...

Well you see we have opebed a thread in his name and writing so much ... no thread for other juries ... hmmmm popularity ....

Daud Ibrahim ... Osama Bin Laden all are popular .. so is Javed A .. sorry I never say direct bad word or comment normally .. but I would remember Javed A a a DISHONEST person for ever .... Shame on you

Nopes ... Javed A has a attitude to humiliate bengalis .... I saw it earlier so many times .... Shaan being a bengali fas gaya ....

Javed Akhtar thinks he is a highly intellectual smart person. He is a great lyricist but that's it.

Someone needs to ask Farhan Akhtar to sing on the stage, where JA is one of the judges. Let us see what his reaction will be.

Based on the behaviour of a couple of judges, I can't help but feel that the show has become a maha muqabla of some heavily inflated egos.

Anyway, I'd just like to remind Shaan's Strikers of one of Javedsaab's own lines:

Har sant kahe, sadhu kahe
Sach aur saahas hai jike mann mein
Ant mein jeet usiki rahe!

And Javed saab, I didn't expect you to appreciate many of the nuances of music which the other, more musical, judges picked up on. But I thought that you would at least appreciate the effort that goes into making an entertaining Bollywood potboiler. Tut tut...
