- Up until Dutta actually started talking about his past, he was overwhelmed with emotions. Be it pain, anger, hurt or hatred, Dutta was experiencing each one of those emotions first hand and reliving them all at once, all over again. But once he started narrating what had happened, it was like he was telling a story - the experience didn't "hit" him all at once any more. It was slower, in steps and you could see him relive each of those "steps" as he told them. So when he began talking about the "good" part, he sounded reminiscent - almost like he remembered how "nice" it was and he was reliving that feeling again. And when he started talking about the "bad" part (towards) the end, he was also reminded of how tormenting it had been. I like how we got to see an overwhelmed Dutta Bhao yesterday, and today we got to see a more "in control" Dutta again - like the initial wave of pain and anger had subsided, and even though the sea was still rough, it was possible to navigate it.
- Oooo, Dutta walks up to Nakku again! He really likes to be near her doesn't he! π³
- When Dutta's talking about his past, he's looking into the distance, as though he is actually SEEING his past that he's talking about (which is so accurate of how it really is!). But Nakku - she's looking no where but right at Dutta. It was like she was trying to tell him "Now that you've decided to tell me, I'm going to make sure I hang on to every word you say - so you know that I really do want to hear this...". It was as if she was assuring him that what he was saying had her full attention - she knew how much it meant to him and that meant a lot to her.
- Dutta on a bicycle?! Ab mein bicycle dhondon k white corolla? It's getting confusing now! π
- Dutta was such a "lively" guy - he'd come storming in on a bicycle and jump off it before it even stopped so he could get to where he wanted to go, while ignoring anyone who might be calling him. He was so full of zest! π
- So, does anyone know what Baji was yelling after Dutta while he was "flying ahead on his bicycle? I totally am not fluent in the regional languages and so I don't understand what he said. But I really want to know because it's driving me crazy - the not knowing. π
- Dutta in a jeans and button-down shirt.... *sigh* π
- So we are getting a "Nakku shot" storyline, and now we get a Dutta in jeans too? I am so sure that the creatives come around here and read our (crazy) thoughts! π
- Aww, Dutta's SO restless as he gets to the "place". He has that bounce in his step as he is coming down the stairs and then instead of just standing or taking a seat he moves around a bit, looks for a stone and throws it. And then he smiles in anticipation of her arrival, pulls out the gift he got for her and smiles as he imagines her reaction. And when it all fails, he pulls out his harmonica.. *sigh* He was SO happy! That scene made me smile - just a happy content smile. π
- No kidding, but that has got to be the WEIRDEST sounding payal ever! Or maybe she just walks in a weird way?! π
- As soon as he hears her climbing down the stairs, there is a calm that befalls his face. Up until then, even though he was happy he wasn't "calm" - he was still restless for her to show up. But the minute he hears her, he is now at peace. I have NO idea how Mishal pulled that off, but that is worthy of applause! π
- Chanda? Kamla? Vimla? Lol! We know you're a good-looking chap Dutta, but do you have to rub it in too? *sigh* Mera number kab aye ga? π
- He was enjoying the little "guess" game soo much! It was so adorable. The animated way he guessed names and the big smile that crossed his face everytime he knew she realized that he was wrong. *sigh* π
- The first time Dutta saw her face it was like he was drinking her sight in. Like he was trying to take in everything about her and hold it close until next time. And when he'd finally realized he was staring, he reached into his pocket and pulled out her gift. But to me it seemed like he still wasn't ready to look away. *sigh* He was really in love... π
- So she was mad at him till she saw he got her a gift. Umm, is that NORMAL behavior? I don't get all "forgiving" just because someone got me a gift - but then I am worried I might be the weird one here. Seriously, that is just screaming "gold digger" to me. π€
- Dutta had that "I knew you'd like it" smile on his face when she got all happy seeing the gift - like he was giving himself a pat on the back. Awww!! He does know how to shop for girls!! Payal, you were so right!! π
- His heart breaks into a song?!?!?! Bwaaahahahahahha! Well at least I can be glad that HE didn't start lip syncing to it. THAT would be unbearably hilarious. π€£π€£
- That scene where they were buying "chooriyan" was all about hand gestures. How she gestures to the store and Dutta picks up the less expensive bangles. Obviously her hands reach for the expensive ones *cough*golddigger*cough*. And then Dutta reaches for his pocket, realizing his insufficient funds. There wasn't any messing around in this scene, it was very precisely to the point and I liked that.
- However, twice that Dutta's expressions were shown, they were very enlightening. The first time he encourages her to try whatever she wanted - he wanted to provide for her with all his heart, it was only later that his "pocket" came in the equation. Like he didn't even remember about money until then. And then when she understands his hesitation and goes for the less expensive set, there was a surprise that registered on his face - like he wasn't expecting her to understand. And I thought that was weird, because when you LOVE someone it shouldn't surprise you when they know what you want or don't want. With Nakku, when he gets surprised at her ability to read him like a book, I understand - because he doesn't know that he loves her yet and so he's intrigued by how she knows him so well. But this girl he apparently loved a lot - then why the surprise? Unless she'd never shown that she REALLY loved him or understood him - and this was as close as she'd come, taking him by surprise. π€
- Dutta was really sweet in the entire "song" segment - from the bangles to the cotton candy to the picture-snapping. He was just a guy very much in love - it was really endearing and I enjoyed that π. But WHAT was wrong with her? I am not sure WHAT she was supposed to be portraying but she just looked like a case of ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). She jumped to the bangle store and then when she got her pair she started messing around with the "paranda", I believe it's called. And then she starts jumping around for cotton candy. And once she gets there she starts poking her fingers in the machine without permission. And then she gets SO happy when she feeds Dutta and then herself with that cotton candy - when they finally get their own set, she eats like she's never had cotton candy before. I am sorry, but she was just tooooo "excited" for me. I don't get it. She's not two years old - there is NO reason for her to act this way. She makes him stop and buy something else too! And then she runs away leaving Dutta incharge of the cotton candy SHE insisted they get in the first place and starts jumping on a stranger for pictures? WHAT is wrong with her?!?!? And then she THROWS away that cotton candy and the other thing (I think they were channas)!! WHATTTTT??? Ainda is ko kuch nahi dilana! She got on my nerves in less than 3 minutes - she broke Supriya's record, at least she took a week or so to begin to bother me. π€¬
- Okay, another thing - when someone points to your FACE and tells you that there's something there, you're supposed to clean it off. Not point at it and ask "what" too! Seriously! I wanted to smack her across the face in that one. He is pointing at her face, clearly telling her there's something there - and she's just shaking her head like the thick person that she is and going "Kya, kya kya?!". Can you tell I don't like her? π€’
- Who else thought that when she called him over to get his picture taken, Dutta raised his hand and nodded as a way of saying "Yeah, she's with me" - just like parents do for little kids that wander off to the next stall and bother people there. Seriously, that's what I saw. Like he was trying to tell the guy "I'm coming! I'll take care of this!" π
- Dutta is too concerned with his cotton candy and channas. I thought that was very realistic of a man that earns little to begin with - every penny counts. And SHE threw it away!! π‘
- Awww! Dutta is so anxious about putting his hand around her - you can see it on his face, the fight between "Should I? Shouldn't I?" and then you can see how he finally decides he WILL but then as he tries to he feels he shouldn't. I thought that whole "confusion" was really cute π. Off course, our ADD patient stood by oblivious to all that was happening around her. π€
- LMAO! Dutta decided he didn't want to put his arms around her and automatically goes in a "Dutta Bhao" stance?! I love it!! π
- Now Nakku walks over to Dutta! This need to be "close" is mutual. *sigh* Again, why am I not surprised! π
- When Dutta told Nakku that he was beginning to dream, he paused for a second and bit his lips - like he was trying to brace himself for what he was going to say next. That he was dreaming about marriage with her. *sigh* She really hurt him, didn't she!
- Dutta's looking down and away from his mother as he shows her the picture. Like he's daring himself not to dream and he's getting ready in case she refuses. But the moment she appreciates the picture, his face lights up like a kid on Christmas morning. *sigh* That was so adorable! π
- Dutta used to be so "open" to the world and what it had to teach. His Aayi told him to work hard and buy a bigger house - he automatically accepted that and started thinking about how to do that. When his (good-for-nothing) boss told him to work harder instead of taking loans, he appreciated that advice too and told Baji right away that he needed to work. He used to be so accepting of change and so open to advice - never took it the wrong way or doubted anyone's intentions for saying what they said. That is such a contrast to the Dutta we know now - one who has closed himself up to the world.
- I love the mother-son relationship between Aayi and Dutta. She was like a friend to him - he told her about the girl with such ease and she knew just what to say to him - to give him an approval and make him "happy" but at the same time to tell him what he should know, even if it might not be what he really wants to hear right now. I love it! π
- Can I just say how glad I am that the creatives actually made an EFFORT to make us believe that Dutta was a mechanic. That they showed him using tools and not just paint grease on his face for no reason. I really appreciate how they pay attention to detail and make sure every aspect of this show looks realistic. Really!
- WHAT is up with Baji's hair? I know 10 years ago the hair-dos were a little weird but really, WHAT is going on there?! π€£
- Dutta in blue versus the "pedophile" (the Seth) in blue - Enough said! π€£
- Is the Seth a little "slow"? He sees Dutta working with a "flame" and yet he screams "DUTTA" and distracts him? Seriously? IS he a little insane? π
- OMG! OMG! OMG! Dutta's guilty/elated smile. OMG! I have NEVER seen anyone pull it off. This was by far the most amazing thing I've ever seen! I have no idea how Mishal did it, but I LOVE IT π. OMG! I had to see it at least 20 times before I could say anything about it. I LOVE IT. It's just the most adorable thing ever! π
- Did I say I love Baji? He is just so comfortable around Dutta (as he should be) and his comic timing is impeccable. He wasn't going to let go of this amazing chance to pick on Dutta and I totally enjoyed that banter between the two! π
- Okay, I am not going to lie - when Dutta said "Aye", I was expecting him to say "Doon kya aik ghuma k!" π
- Dutta was embarrassed and elated while Baji was messing around with him, but the minute the topic came back to his need for money he was all business again. Like he knew he needed to get this done and there was no joking around it. *sigh* I love his "getting-stuff-done" attitude. π
- Every time Dutta's in trouble or worried he goes to Baji - I really like that. This comfort level in between them is very very endearing. I love it! π
- Aww! Dutta gets so EXCITED at having found a way to make more money. Like a child who gets offered ice cream! π
- Okay! What badtameez passenger is this? Can he NOT see that the guy's trying to get a drink? Seriously? He could not wait? How rude! I hate people who think they own everyone in the service industry. π€’
- At this point, it almost felt like Dutta was telling someone else's story - when he started talking about himself in third person. Like he was trying to detach himself from the story so it wouldn't hurt as much (all the while knowing that nothing he did would stop the pain). I really feel so bad for his pain. Really.
- Omg! The Seth checks the girl out. THAT is so gross! SO GROSS! *Blekh* π€’
- Dutta gets so happy to see her there in the car window - first surprised, then happy. Then when he steps out of the car, he almost gives her an intense stare before he catches himself, smiles and comes to her. Aww! I really like this "in-love" Dutta! He's so cute! π
- I'm sorry?! Was that supposed to be her "sharmana" when he said "football team"? It just looked like she was laughing at a joke and not "shying away" from the thought. π
- Let the man go wash his hand! So cheesy! SHE WOULD, wouldn't she?! You know, she reminds me of someone who is just trying to "show" that she's in love. To "prove" to everyone else that she's in love. She's trying too hard and being too cliched. My gag reflex is almost killing me. π€’
- Dutta humbly thanks the Seth with a gesture and he says "Mention not"?!?! Bwaaaahahahahahhahaha! Why couldn't he just nod back, I don't know! π€£
- Dutta's wait at the "place" is so perfectly portrayed by Mishal. First he's excited to see her, almost restless. But as time passes he begins to get dishearted and a little worried. Until finally at night, he is just overcome with emotion - worry and disappointment. And he decides he can't "wait" anymore. Something was definitely wrong. I liked it!
- You know, I might be totally off here, but I saw Dutta's stone throwing as being symbolic. When he "felt" like was great and everything was good his stone did that 'bounce of the water" thing. But once he wasn't feeling so "great" anymore, it was like the stone was sending an omen his way - that something was wrong or was going to be terribly wrong. I liked this symbolism (if it was intended - if not then I'm just seeing things! π).
- Dutta looked like he was reliving the worry and the anxiety as he was telling Nakku about his mental turmoil at not knowing where the girl was. This is only going to get harder for him now - I feel bad already. *sigh*... And Nakku looks worried for him too, but then how could she not!
- I might be totally wrong here, but I felt like Dutta's voice was becoming thick with emotion towards the very last sentence where he was telling Nakku how he decided to go to the garage and get a car to go look for the girl. Like he knew what he was about to tell Nakku and the pain was choking him up already. *sigh* I really feel bad now...
- Omg! That was such a repulsive sound she made. I was just repulsed. That was just horrible. I don't KNOW what she did, but that sound was horrible. Sorry. Just disgusting. π€’
- As soon as Dutta looks in the direction of the sound, it's like his world came crashing down on him. Like all his illusions were shattered with one swift and brutal blow. He looked like the wind was knocked out of him. And that was just so heart breaking. It makes me mad for him! Hurt and mad...
So I know I called "Seema" as the "girl" through out the TIN, but I really don't like her! Really, really... It was really hard for me to see Dutta love her - but the only saving grace was to see an "in-love" Dutta, which was totally worth it! Still, I dislike her. Absolutely. π€’
