India Forum's Music Ka Maha Muqqabla (Female)

Welcome, to IF's Music Ka Maha Muqqabla!!!




Here it is. 6 contestants. Some of the best female singers over the past decade. They will go head to head, and we will choose a winner. The best female singer from the 2000s.


How does it work?

We start Round 1 with 6 professional female singers from the past decade. Each perform in a chosen song.
We listen to each's song, and then based on their performance in the song, we give them a rating (through a poll) out of 10. There are 3 selected judges who will do the same.
1. We average the scores after Round 1, and the playback singer with the lowest score is eliminated. We then move to Round 2 with 5 singers. And keep going till there is a winner!

Some notes and details:

It will be 66% Audience (Poll for everyone) and 33% Judges Set 5 as the average for a bollywood playback performance according to you, and rate out of 10 based on that In picking a song for the performance in the round, I will ask the judges and consult other sources, and decide based on that. You can also send songs you want to see played on.
Each singer will have their own Round thread where we have a poll to rate their performance
• Each Round will last approximately 2-3 days

So let's start by introducing the judges!

The 3 Judges will be

xobile- Probably the most knowledgeable about music from the 3 judges. You can see him/her in the music trivia thread. This person knows their music. I've also seen very logical and unbiased comments regarding the singers. Lastly, a person who is enthusiastic and will stay active. Really, the perfect judge.

ssk13809- There is always one controversial judge, this might be it. Claims to know how to judge music and brings in unconventional viewpoints at times. Also is very active and seems to experienced at rating performances. Overall, a judge who will diversify the lineup and hopefully bring in some of the experienced musical judging.

Summer3- Another very unbiased poster. I've read this poster's posts for a while, and they always seem unbiased and very good. Kind of a mixture of the 1st 2 judges and kind of brings in the 3rd dimension by also having other viewpoints while at the same time knowing his/her music. Also, obviously very active and enthusiastic about this and will participate to the end.


Overall, this team of judge says they will be unbiased, all have said they have some skill in judging singing, and together combine a good diversified view in terms of evaluating all the singers. I think they compliment each other well!

Excellent lineup! Although u've been too kind to me in the judges section - i'm only good at making sarcastic comments! All my 'good' posts were just a regurgitation of wat my guruji taught me hehe. Anyway ab toh sab doodh ka doodh paani ka paani ho jayega.

Shall we PM you the song suggestions?

Thanks guys. And from here on out I am just going to act like a producer. Im not like a judge or anything. Just going to come in and make sure things are running right, start threads for the polls, calculate results, set next rounds, etc.

hopefully i don't get accused of fixing the show like Gajji 😆

SSK and Xobile as judges!! That's equivalent to Himesh and Anu Malik as judge. he he he 😉
