Chapter 36

Party Time. All are ready in their rooms. Rudra decides to wear a sherwani as the last time he wore one was on his wedding. Niharika is wearing a black saree with gold work done on it. She looks stunning. Adi is back from hostel and is wearing a cute sherwani. Antariksh is wearing a suit and Aarti is wearing a saree. Tara is wearing a skirt and top (western outfit) All are ready. Rahul had organised Vedika's party- well stunning party and arrangements. All were impressed. Vedika was still in her room. Guests had arrived and the whole family were impressed as well as the guests.

Kavita: wow!!!! i must say Rahul ne kya party organise ke hai...is party ke arrangements mein he rahul ka pyar jhalak tha hai..haina??

Tara: haan ma....i must say bhaiya bhabhi se bohat pyar karte hain...

Kavita: haan vo to hai...acha ab jao dekho Vedika tyaar hogaye hai ke nahi...

Tara: haan mama...main abhi dekhti hoon

As Tara walks to go upstairs, lights go off....Vedika comes to the stairs, spotlight shines on her. Everyone looks at her and smiles. She is looking very pretty. As Vedika walks down the stairs, the spotlight follows her and flowers come pouring down on her like rain. Vedika is smiling. All are happy and clap as the birthday girl comes down. Lights then come on and spot light turns off. Vedika is at the last step. Rahul comes forward and puts out his hand. Vedika holds his hand and takes the final step. Photographer comes and takes loads of photos of Vedika and Rahul. Vedika takes Viren and Kavita's blessings. She hugs and meets the rest. Vedika is standing with Adi holding his hand. Rahul goes on stage and takes the mike.

Rahul: excuse me ladies and gentlemen...as you all know today is a very special day...today is my beautiful wife's birthday (all clap their hands and the family members come on stage one by one) and i would like her to come on stage and do the honours to cut her birthday cake.

All clap. Vedika smiles as the cake is bought on the stage. Vedika walks onto stage with Adi. (Do notice everyone is there except Dhruv.) Cake is huge. Vedika takes the knife, blows the candles and cuts the cake. Everybody sings Happy Birthday. Vedika puts the first cake in Rahul's mouth. One By one all feed each other. Party begins. All come off stage. Rahul stays there with Vedika. Angad has come there too. He comes on stage to wish Vedika a happy birthday. Vedika is happy to see Angad. Angad whispers something in Vedika's ear. Vedika and Angad both look at Rahul and Rahul gives them a "What?? " look. Vedika and Angad smile and Vedika takes the mike. She requests everyone to put their hands together as her husband will be singing a song for her. All are happy and clap. Rahul is shocked. He looks at Angad and Angad gives him a " haha shame your trapped " look. Rahul smiles and takes the mike. He looks a bit nervous. He looks up at Vedika, who gives him a lovable smile. Rahul smiles and music starts. Rahul starts to sing.- Sine Mein Dil (Koi Aap Sa)

Dhruv enters the house just as Vedika starts to sing. He looks at how Vedika lovingly sings to Rahul and smiles evily to himself.

All clap. Rahul and Vedika hug each other. Kavita and Viren are very happy to see the love between rahul and vedika.

Dhruv: (Shouts loudly) SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All turn to see Dhruv. Vedika is shocked. All smile. Dhruv comes in.

Dhruv: sorry for being late everyone...actually i just couldn't decide what gift to give to Vedika thats why it took long. sorry.

Dhruv walks upto Vedika and wishes her a happy birthday that too with a evil smile. Vedika doesn't look to happy. Niharika comes forward.

Niharika: so gift kahan hai??

Dhruv: deta hoon deta hoon (looks at Vedika and gives her an evil look) itne bhi kya jaldi hai

Vedika looks at him angrily. Niharika and Tara both insist and Dhruv finally gives in and brings out a gift box for Vedika and gives it to her.

Dhruv: happy birthday vedika

Vedika: (hesitates but takes it) thank you

Vedika looks at Angad. Tara and Niharika are acting like kids insisting Vedika to open the gift. Vedika is scared to open it but then does open it. It's a red jewellery set and bangles too. Vedika smiles and thanks dhruv once again. Everyone is like wow!!!!!!!!!!!! Dhruv then hugs Vedika and wishes her once again a happy birthday. He then whispers in her ear.

Dhruv: (evily whispers in her ear) jitna muskurana haina muskura lo Vedika..kyunki aaj ke baadh tumhari aakhon mein sirf aanso hoge..khoon ke aanso (Vedika is shocked)

Dhruv unhugs Vedika and smiles. Vedika looks frightened as anything.

Dhruv: ek aur surprise hai??

Tara: ek aur surprise vo kya bhaiya??

Dhruv: ek minute...(walks to the door and calls someone in)

Everyone looks towards the door. Dhruv comes in and behind him another man steps into the house. His legs are shown then his body and then finally his face. Vedika is shocked. Dhruv smiles puts his arm around the man and brings him in. He introduces him to his family. All are happy to see him but don't recognise him. Rahul comes and sees the man, he's surprised and happy as well.

Dhruv: ma yeh mera dost hai Prrr (Rahul interrupts)

Rahul: Pritvi???????????

All turn and so does Pritvi...Dhruv smiles evily and looks at Vedika who is shocked to see Pritvi. Pritvi and Rahul hug. Rahul tells everyone that Pritvi is his friend from USA...they became friends on the plane.

Rahul: maga dhruv tum Pritvi ko kaise jaante ho??

Dhruv: bhaiya sirf mein nahi balke Vedika bhi jaanti hai...

All are shocked and look at Vedika, who looks as though she will die any minute.

Rahul: tum Pritvi ko jaanti ho???

Vedika is shocked.

Pritvi: Rahul actually me and Vedika are very good friends..same school...London

Rahul: ooooohhhhhh...newayz enjoy the party Pritvi...

All get back to enjoying the party. Vedika is standing alone. Pritvi and Dhruv walk upto Vedika. Pritvi gives her a gift and wishes her a happy birthday.

Dhruv: so vedika bhabhi (stresses the word babhi) kaisa lagah mera surprise (puts his arm around Pritvi- Pritvi smiles evily)

Vedika is shocked.

Dhruv: maine kaha tha na tumse ke main tumhe is ghar se aur rahul ki zindagi se bahar nikaal donga....to samjho ke vo waqt ab aa chukha hai...(Vedika is shocked) kyunki is kaam ko anjaam dine kiliye Pritvi mere madat karaha hai...(both Pritvi and Dhruv smile evily)

Vedika is shocked. Pritvi and Dhruv smile evily at Vedika, who stands there looking very worried and frightened.

Chapter 37

Vedika is in her room, she is walking up and down her room, looking very worried. She has flashback of her days in London. Flashback shown of Vedika's first day at school college. She is wearing blue jeans and a white top and has a few books in her hand. A group of guys at the college gate start harassing Vedika as she walks into college. One guy gets all flirty with her, she gets angry and gives him one tight slap across his face. turns out that the guy who got slapped is none other than Pritvi. Pritvi gets angry and is about to do something to her when Akash and Karan come there. They are enemies with Pritvi and his crew. They take Vedika away after a few bad words are exchanged by Pritvi and Karan. Pritvi vows to take revenge on Vedika for slapping him. After a few days, Vedika joins an afternoon class, where new students are encouraged to attend as you get to know other students around the college and other teachers who may not be teaching you. Vedika attends the class and it gets quite late, all her friends have gone and she is alone. she comes out of the class and sits in her car. Her car doesn't start and she gets frustrated, when all of a sudden Pritvi says boo. Vedika screams and is shocked to see Pritvi. He's sitting at the back of her car. Vedika tries to escape but Pritvi doesn't let her. He gets out the car and pulls her put and drags her to the old building. Vedika is screaming for help, but nobody is there to help. Pritvi drags her, throws her into a room and locks the door. Vedika is scared, she tries hitting him with chairs and what not, but he doesn't stop.Pritvi pushes her against the wall. Vedika gets really scared and is crying. She pleads Pritvi to let her go, but he doesn't listen. Vedika screams for help, but no-one comes for her rescue. Pritvi gives her a few slaps and she falls on the floor. Pritvi smiles evily and gets down on the floor. He is on top of her trying to rape her. Vedika screams for help. As Pritvi rips part of Vedika's top (arm bit), someone breaks down the door. It's Karan. He gets very angry to see Pritvi on top of Vedika. Vedika pushes Pritvi off her and runs to Karan and hugs him. Karan calms her down and takes off his coat and puts it around her. Vedika moves back a bit. Karan looks at Pritvi angrily. And before you know it both get into a very big fight. Karan and Pritvi both punch and kick each other really hard but as Karan is the hero it's Karan who wins in the end. Pritvi is left on the floor, bruised up and bleeding. Karan takes Vedika home. Flashback ends. Vedika has tears in her eyes. Rahul comes in and hugs her. Vedika gets scared.

Rahul: sorry jaan..it's only me....kya huwa are you ok??

Vedika hugs Rahul tightly and feels very safe.

Vedika: mujhe bohat darr lagraha hai Rahul...(hugs him even tighter) mujhe aisa lagta hai jaise koi tumhe mujhse cheen lega

Rahul: vedika???? yeh tum kaise baatein karahe ho?? aisa kuch nahi hoga..koi aisa kyun karega....don't worry ok?? chalo now go to sleep...

Rahul takes Vedika to the bed, lies her down, he sits beside her, holding her hand until she goes to sleep and then switches the lights off and sleeps with her. Morning. Pritvi is staying at the Raizada house, everyone wakes up in the morning. All are at the breakfast table, except Vedika. All talk to Pritvi and get along with him pretty well. Dhruv is happy that everyone has accepted Pritvi, both Pritvi and Dhruv share an evil look.

Niharika: Rahul... vedika kahan hai???

Rahul: vo Adi ke saath hai uske room mein

Kavita: ari magar ushi naashta nahi karna....???

Rahul: ma don't worry..ramu kaka ne unka naashta unhi room mein de diya hai...

Viren: rahul tum pune kab ja rahe ho??

Rahul: aaj he dad

Viren: packing hogaye...??

Rahul: je dad
Dhruv: ermmm pune?? bhai aap pune jaa rahe hain??

Rahul: haan vo factory ka kuch kaam hai...isliye

Dhruv: ooo (looks at Pritvi and then back at Rahul) acha bhai aap pune mein kitne din rahenge??

Rahul: pata nahi magar ek do hafte lag he jayenge...kyun?? any problem??

Dhruv: nahi to...i was just asking

All finish their breakfast and Rahul goes to his room. Vedika is sitting their lost in her own world. Rahul comes and sits beside her and holds her hand.

Rahul: kya baat hai Vedika...you ok??

Vedika: (coming out of her dream world) huh?? kuch kaha tumne??

Rahul: haan....(signs) vedika wots wrong...you don't seem yourself to me..sabh teekh haina?? koi problem hai to mujhe batao....mein solve kardeta hoon

Vedika: (looks at Rahul...and to herself...) kya soch rahe ho vedika...rahul ko batado ke pritvi kaun hai, tum pritvi ko kaise jaanti ho, aur pritvi ne tumhare saath kya kiya...

Rahul: vedika?? vedika kahan kho gaye??

Vedika: (coming out of her thoughts) huh?? vo rahul..pritvi...(Dhruv comes and interrupts)

Dhruv: erm bhai aap ka phone hai...office se...

Rahul: (to dhruv) ok...(to vedika) main abhi ata hoon ok?? (Vedika knods her head and he kisses her forehead and goes out the room)

Rahul leaves. Dhruv looks at Vedika. Vedika's phone rings, it's Karan, she answers it without saying his name. Vedika doesn't say anything and then smiles and looks at Dhruv with an evil smile. Dhruv is taken back. Whilst talking on the phone, Pritvi comes in the room too. Vedika disconnects the phone. She then walks upto Dhruv and Pritvi and smiles evily. Both Pritvi and Dhruv are taken back when Vedika talks very naturally to Pritvi.

Vedika: (to pritvi) so pritvi kaisa lagah tumhe humara ghar?? acha haina?? tumhe teekh se neend to agaye thi na?? (Pritvi looks at her with anger in his eyes) (Vedika sarcastically) nahi??? don;t worry tumhe aadat daalne ki zaroorat he nahi paregi...ykunki tm is ghar mein zyaada din nahi rahoge..samjhe???

Dhruv: is ghar se kaun jayega aur kaun nahi is ka faisla waqt karega....

Vedika: waqt kyun dhruv..is ka faisla waqt nahi KARAN karega...

Pritvi is shocked to hear Karan's name.

Pritvi: KARAN???????????????????????

Vedika: (smiles evily-sarcastically) haan Pritvi..karan...karan yaad haina tumhe? college ka karan...mera karan....

Dhruv is confused as he doesn't know the full story.

Vedika: (sarcastically) nahi yaadh to kuch he dheer mein sabh kuch yaadh aa he jayenga...(Pritvi is shocked) kyunki Karan...kuch he dheer mein yahan ata he hoga...(walks closer to Pritvi) kuch he dheer mein is ghar ki ghanti baje gi....aur vo ghanti Karan bajayega....(Vedika smiles evily)

Pritvi is shocked. The door bell rings. Pritvi is even more shocked. Vedika gives a smile.

Vedika: bajgaye ghanti...

Vedika smiles evily at Pritvi, who looks very worried and is sweating. He remembers the punches Karan gave him. Pritvi is very scared, while dhruv stands with a confused look, Vedika smiles evily.
