Shakuntala goes to Dushyant and yells at him saying that he was about to kill Sundari (the deer) who is her friend and that it is a sin to kill innocent animals. Dushyant just stares at her and then asks who she is. She asks him why he cares and that she doesn't want to associate with people like him. Shakuntala and Dushyant's friends come and Shakuntala leaves while the men question Dushyant why he didn't say anything to Shakuntala for speaking like that to him.
Shakuntala's friends ask Shakuntala about the guy and ask what he did to make Shakuntala scold him. Shakuntala tell them how he was about to kill Sundari and that he's a hunter. She says how she has to stop him before he kills other any other animal but her friends tell her that they have to return to the ashram.
While walking, Dushyant is lost in Shakuntala's thoughts and says that he should've found out her name and that he wants to know more about her. He tells everyone to go ahead and that he has work to do. Dushyant is walking around in the forest while Shakuntala is bathing in the river while Dushyant continues looking. Shakuntala leaves with her friends and a part of the clothing she was caring gets stuck in a branch (looked more like a rectangular log that was stuck in the ground). Dushyant goes there and sees the cloth and gets happy. His companions come and comment on how it seems like Dushyant found some sort of treasure. Dushyant just ignores what they said and walks away while they follow.
Kalki and Mrityunjay reach the tents set up and start going towards it when Kalki suddenly falls into a ditch. Mrityunjay tries to help her but falls in as well and the gaurds help them out. They inform Kalki that Dushyant is still gone hunting. Kalki tells them to give a bunch of thing (like rose water (I think) to wash their face, kheer puri and what not).
Shakuntala and her friends hide behind a wall and she looks at Karan who signals her not to worry. He goes on a cattle carriage and sneak Shakuntala and them on and brings them inside the ashram. The stop when they see Rishivar looking at them and he asks them what they're doing there. Karan makes up an excuse saying they wanted milk because they wanted to make kheer for the Gauri pooja. Rishivar leaves and Shakuntala thanks Karan.
Dushyant is surprised to see Kalki and Mrityunjay and Kalki tells him that they were hunting nearby and found out Dushyant is here too so they came to say hi and realised how clothes their tents are set up. Dushyant asks her where and she says that it's so close that she can being her things to Dushyant's site in a little while but Dushyant says there's no need for that and they can stay as neighbours. Dushyant's friend agrees saying that they can eat here in the day and Kalki's at night and that since they're hungry, Kalki can go prepare for their arrival and they'll prepare for Kalki's tomorrow. Kalki and Mrityunjay start walking and Mrityunjay gets mad at Kalki for talking so much and asks where they're going to stay. Dushyant's friend calls out saying that it's dangerous and asks if they brought weapons with them. Kalki and Mrityunjay leave while the friends laugh. Dushyant holds the cloth (chunari) and recalls his encounter with Shakuntala and wishes to know more about her.
Shakuntala and her friends start talking about Holi and Shakuntala says she doesn't want to celebrate it because Baba isn't there but Rishivar interrupts saying he's like her Baba too and that they will celebrate Holi. They ask him if they can go out to get flowers for rangoli and he agrees saying Karan has to go with them and leaves. The girls start taking the clothes off the clothesline and Shakuntala notices her chunari is missing and and realises she lost it in the jungle. She blames it on the hunter (Dushyant).
Dushyant sits on a rock and wonder how he'll find the girl and thinks about his encounter when he hears Shakuntala's voice saying her chunari's with him and sees her standing there.
