Written Update - Dec 24, 2006

Uma calls Aai and asks her permission to sell the Kangans to help pooja, Aai gives Uma the permission to sell them to help Pooja, even though she feels that Purshotam has not behaved well towards them.

Dushyant is going towards his car, when a guy comes up and asks him if the business is doing well, as usually the Jajodia family buy gold by now they are selling it, Dushyant asks him who sold, he says the elder bahu of their family.

Dushyant comes home angry and informs his mother about Uma selling gold, MIL storms up to Uma room to question her. Dushyant and MIL both accuse Uma of stealing and selling the gold. Uma tells them that she wanted some money and sold the Kangans which her mother had given her, she did not steal anything. Dushyant shouts that this is just to give their family a bad name, and warns her about doing anything like this in the future. Sudhanshu comes to the door and tells Dushyant not to fight with Uma and not to trouble her as she cries afterwards and he does not like it. Sudhanshu tells Dushyant angrily to be careful in the future. MIL and Dushyant both leave. Uma has tears in her eyes and just says that she is not a thief and she did not steal anything.

Aai brings tea for Baba and tells him about Uma selling the Kangans to help Pooja.

At the hospital Purshotam is awake and apologizes to Pooja for his behavior, and tells her he has done her wrong and she is doing so much for him. Pooja tells him that its not his fault when they married he was not like this, but she found work and he could not and was taking out his frustration on her.

Uma and Sudhanshu visit Purshotam, Uma gives Pooja the money. Purshotam apologizes to Uma as well. Uma tells him to take care of Pooja. Sudhanshu tells Uma not to cry.

Uma and Sudhanshu come to the Basti, there are 2 guys talking about Namita being an unwed mother, Uma gets angry on the guy and tells him to talk in front of them and not behind their backs. Uma and Sudhanshu visit Aai and Baba, Uma asks about Namita and Aai starts crying. Uma tells her to remain strong, and assures Aai that she will always support Namita and not to worry. To make the atmosphere light she asks if anyone wants to have tea, everyone remains quiet, Sudhanshu tells her that he will have pohey.

Uma and Sudhanshu go to the beach and have nariyal pani, Sudhanshu tells Uma that he used to come with "MAA" in the evenings to the beach and wishes that Uma had met his mother. Doctor is also there at the beach he spots Uma and asks about Sudhanshus health, Uma tells him its improving, the doctor suggests that she take Sudhanshu away for a few days.

MIL tells Uma that there is no need to go anywhere. Uma tells her that she is not asking just telling her, and she is not going for fun, but for Sudhanshu's health. Uma tells MIL that she will need some money, MIL tells her to ask Dushyant, Uma tells her that she (MIL) had told her not to bother Dushyant and she will give the money needed, Uma tells MIL to have the money ready by tomorrow morning.

Uma is packing, Sudhanshu asks her if she is leaving him, Uma asks him that why is he so insecure, Sudhanshu tells her that he has been alone in this room since long, everyone left him, and that is why he thinks she will also leave him. Uma assures Sudhanshu that she will never leave him, he asks why she tells him cause they are married, Sudhanshu tells her that don't you feel like leaving and she says no.

Its morning, Uma and Sudhanshu come downstairs, MIL tells Uma that she thought about it and taking Sudhanshu away is the right decision, and gives Uma the money. Uma and Sudhanshu leave. MIL thinks that the second day of marriage Uma left their house, she made a big mistake bringing her back.

MIL and Dushyant discuss Uma, they think that the doctor is the one to blame, and decide to deal with him, when Dushyant tells his mother that as Uma made a report of the medicines, we can do the same. MIL agrees, she says that let Uma enjoy for a few days and when she returns she will be in for a big shock. MIL and Dushyant are talking upstairs, Sudha is downstairs and hears their conversation.

Uma is sitting when Sudhanshu brings a "gajra" and goes to put it in her hair, she tells him not to in front of so many people, Sudhanshu tells her that if she does not want to put it then he will give it to someone else, she calls out his name, he is sitting next to her, she then realizes it was just imagination.

Sambhav comes to the Basti comes across Sardarji, he requests Sardarji that he wants to meet Namita. Sadraji first asks him to leave but on Sambhav's insistence he agrees to setup the meeting.

Uma and Sudhanshu play caramboard, and there is another couple playing something a little further up, Sudhandhu sees them getting romantic, and he catches Uma's hand and tells her that he is her friend as well as her husband and can hold her hand.

Sardarji bring Namita to meet Sambhav, Sambhav tries to talk to Namita, but she tells him to leave, and he leaves. Namita cries. Sardarji tells her that Sambhav seem worried and that is why he setup the meeting. Namita tells him that he is not worried, if he was he would have thought about her and the child before refusing to marry.

Uma and Sudhanshu taking a walk, Uma tells him that she needs to go and pack as they will be leaving tomorrow. Sudhanshu sees a motorcycle coming, and then from the opposite direction sees a van coming and starts shouting and covers up his face, Uma rushes back to him, Sudhanshu tells Uma that now the truck will hit the bike. Uma tells him not to worry as nothing happened.

Uma and Sudhanshu reach home, there is police waiting for them, MIL tells the officer that she is Uma. Dushyant and Sambhav are there as well. Officer tells Uma that they have received a complaint that she is giving wrong medication to her husband to make him "pagal". Uma tells them that not her but these people (referring to MIL and Dushyant) were giving him wrong medications and she has the report to prove it. Uma tells the Officer that they want to usurp Sudhanshu's property. Officer tells Uma that she can says whatever she wants to at the police station, and they take Uma away.

Sudhanshu tries to stop them, but Dushyant and Sambhav hold Sudhanshu back. Dushyant closes the door with a smile on his face.
